A good introduction that suggests there will be plenty of good recipes. I'm not vegan but one of my friends is and I'm always looking for new recipes. They seem like great meat-free options.

As a vegetarian I am always looking for new recipe books that let me cook tasty meals that appeal not only to me but to the non-veggies in my life (aka my husband and daughter). They are quite will to go non-meat for a meal or more but they need it to be substantial enough for them to feel like they aren’t just eating sides.
I haven’t come across the Happy Pear recipe books before (Recipes for Happiness is the third) but I have to say I’m a convert and so is my family. It is chock full of recipes that don’t just feel like an add on to a main course.
So far, I’ve only made a few but the Chickpea Tikka Masala was probably my favourite (replacing another chickpea curry recipe – I am a bit of a creature of habit). I’ve also been tempted by the creamy tomato pasta, which I know other people who’ve reviewed the book have raved about too. With easy to follow instructions which take you step by step through what to do to create tasty dishes for any time of the day or year, you can’t go wrong.
I also like the Flynn brother’s philosophy: if you eat healthier food, you will become healthier and healthier people are happier (I’m paraphrasing there – they are much more eloquent). By cutting out meat, they say, you can lose weight, sleep better and have more energy – all things I want and need. I haven’t tried enough of the recipes to say if this works yet – or the two weekly healthy reboot that’s included with the book – but I’m keen to try. Once I do, I’ll let you know how it goes. In the meantime, I’m off to do some more cooking.

4☆ A good Sampler

This was just a short sampler of recipes, but what I did sample sounded scrumptious.
It's very hard with a sampler book to get a true feel of the cookbook and whether I would use it. However what I have seen I liked. I just wish I had more than a few recipies.

If I had more recipies to read it would have been a 5☆

I am definitely on the lookout for buying the full version as I think this book will have huge potential.

From what I viewed the recipies look simple, easy to follow and affordable and more importantly delicious.

I love baking and cooking and am always on the lookout for new cookbooks.
I have rheumatoid arthritis so I'm always looking for new recipies to potentially help my weight and symptoms.

I am not a vegetarian but love experimenting with new ideas.
The happy Pear- recipies for happiness certainly will appeal to all cooks looking to try something fresh and healthy.

This book is definitely worth a buy!
Happy cooking!

Not being a vegan myself I only came across the Flynn brothers since my son turned vegan. They make everything look so tasty and most importantly not scary to cook. They are a complete revelation and not just for vegans.

Delighted to preview Recipes for Happiness. This looks set to be every bit as fantastic as the first two Happy Pear books. Cannot wait to get my hands on the book!

Wonderful taster (no pun intended!) to this vegan/vegetarian cookbook. Recipes are clear and simple. I had most or the store cupboard essentials so easy to get going. Interesting take on black bean burgers and sweet potato and coconut curry.

The burger and the soda bread recipe looks top notch, simple and clear instructions, I'm looking forward to cook them at the weekend. Love the pictures too, can't wait for publication day. Thank you!

I love the happy pear and I must say that I was surprised to see that the recipes we got to preview were actually very normal! This is a very good thing by the way.

I made the creamy tomato pasta and the soda bread and both were absolutely delicious and have been added to our menu plan at home.

I can't wait to read the full cookbook because if all the recipes are like these I can see it being a very well used book!

I am not a vegetarian, but I am a very keen cook and am always on the look out for interesting ways to cook with vegetables and nuts. It is difficult to effectively review a book when the taster only contains 6 recipes, however I was disappointed in recipes included. The sample included were very basic recipes – I understand the demand for quick and easy recipes, but the 15 minute burger offered no real wow factor and for me a curry (easy three bean curry) requires more interesting spices than curry powder alone.

I follow the Happy Pear on Facebook. I am not vegan but I love the whole idea of the lifestyle that is promoted. I like the recipe for soda bread and look forward to trying it.

This is lovely colourful collection of recipes for vegans. It is full of your usual favourites such as French toast and macaroni cheese but with a vegan spin. Lovely to support a some Irish lads who certainly know how to cook.

This book would encourage anyone to swap some of their meaty meals with vegetarian ones and have fun at the same time. The recipes are easy to follow with ingredients that are readily accessible, healthy eating never felt so good. I can see this being a well thumbed/used book in any kitchen

Included is French Toast and Soda Bread from the Brekkie 'n' Brunch section; Ultimate 15 minute burgers and Mac 'n' cheese, from I can't believe its not.... chapter. Also included is One-pot creamy tomato pasta and Easy three-bean sweet potato & coconut curry.

I received this book from netgalley in return for a honest review.

The Happy Pear - Recipes for Success by Stephen and David Flynn.

Fantastic easy tasty recipes. Even if you aren't vegetarian or vegan, this is an excellent buy. Easy step by step instructions with clear colour illustrations, nothing too daunting and most of the ingredients you probably already have in your cupboard at home. The recipes carefully tailored to people wanting to give up meat, fish and dairy for the first time. Have just made the One Pot Creamy Tomato Pasta and it was a hit for my teenage meat-eating sons! The easy three-bean sweet potato and coconut curry is next! Highly recommend - five stars!
