This book is not for everyone, and that's okay because the intended audience will appreciate and cherish this book for all it is worth.

The Illustrated Herbiary is exactly like it sounds. The pages are filled with beautiful, breathtaking, vibrant illustrations of botanicals. Toll is not only gifted with her artwork but her soothing tone will make you want to sit outside with a cuppa and just reflect on your thoughts and feelings.

With each of the 36 bontanicals, Toll provides an illustration, description, ritual, and a reflection. Her enlightened approach to simple mindfulness is one anyone can attempt and benefit from. The rituals are simple and brief but get to the core principle practices of how to center oneself and restore ones own energy.

I really liked this book because I was searching for a book where I can learn About herbs. This helped me broaden my Knowledge and I'm thankful for that.

This book isn’t a description of herbs, which is what I had been looking for when I requested it. It uses the symbolism of the herbs as a guide for life providing sweet rituals and reflections that can enhance your perspective.
This book should be read for the illustrations alone. They are beautiful, with rich vibrant details reminiscent of tarot cards.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. For more reviews please visit my blog:

Wonderful book! I loved the way that the author makes the connectivity with the plant using a holistic methodology supported by beautiful images and inspiring quotations. The book not only covers the subject of the herbiary but important subjects as wellness, self help and mindfulness.

"The Illustrated Herbiary" is a beautifully illustrated book that highlights what specific plants and flowers have been used for and what physical and spiritual healing they can offer. Each one also features a little anecdote. A perfect introduction for someone interested in learning more about how herbs can be used to live a better life.

Many thanks to Storey Publishing, LLC for an ARC. I was not required to post a review and all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

Lovingly and colorfully written. This is not a book about the usage of herbs.
Instead it describes how we can use the seeming mental/personality type properties of plants to live a better life. For example, it has Red Clover model centered/groundedness. It has rituals and reflections (thinking back on how the property has manifested in your life) for each property.

I really enjoyed this, and might even get a physical copy of this in hope for the cards that is said to be with this. The illustrations are very beautiful and the book is very delightful.

I was unaware until reading that this actually a tarot system. With that in mind the card illustrations are gorgeous and perfect for green thumb card readers.

I requested this thinking I would be getting a book with information on the uses of certain herbs and flowers and while this is very lightly touched on, it wasnt enough. There was some "cute" description of each flower/herb from the authors point of view but nothing factually useful. The rituals seemed a bit daft but some people might like them. They were all very.....sweet and cutsy.

You should buy this book for the illustrations alone. It is gorgeous!
It would also make a great gift for anyone who has an interest in plants of flower meanings or herbal, alternative, medicine.

I give it a 5 of 5 for the looks, and a 3 of 5 for the written portion.
What text there is is very good. It is just not very in-depth.
This is a wonderful jumping off point for further study.
A beautiful book.

This lovely little book highlights plants and flowers (many considered common weeds), telling what they have been used for, what spiritual and physical healing they can offer and a short meditation for each. Beautiful illustrations bring this charming book to life

This book is curious and beautifully illustrated.. I'd say that's what got my attention in the first place.
Each page has a flower or plant's name and each one contents an anecdote , and advice to feel better.
Not my personal cup of tea.. but if you are into this sort of books you will enjoy.
