Great for fans of Wall-E. Wouldn't recommend it to those who haven't not heard of him. Artwork was pretty darn good. Read this twice and enjoyed it.

Wall-E is one of my favourite Pixar movies (though recently it was dethroned by Coco) so I loved reading this manga. I highly recommend this for everyone who has seen the movie and wants to dive into Manga.

It has been quite a while since I've seen the original movie Wall-E, but as far as I can tell, this was certainly a faithful adaptation. My favorite part of the book was probably the art, as it melded the movie's art with a more manga-styled art and it was just perfect. The book is already checking out well in my library and I will continue to purchase the Disney manga titles.

Goodreads Synopsis:
Based on the hit Disney Pixar movie Wall-E.

Wall-E is a trash compactor robot -- the last one of his kind! -- and every day for hundreds of years he's faithfully cleaned and organized the millions of tons of trash left behind on Earth by humans. But his routine is flipped upside down when he finds a tiny green plant, the first new sign of life for centuries! When the sleek new robot EVE shows up to take the proof of life back to humanity, Wall-E falls head over wheels in love and eagerly follows her across the galaxy into a whole new adventure!

Relive this epic space romance in beautiful manga form!

My Review:
I absolutely loved this book. It's just like the movie, but cute and in manga form and it's all black and white. The characters you know and love are in it. I love the tech, and really just the entire story. The earth is covered in trash, and people can no longer live there. A mega corporation sold everyone on the idea of going on a space cruise, while small garbage picking robots called Wall E cleaned up all the mess on Earth. 700 years later, only one Wall E remains. His only point in life is to clean, but he's found other ways to occupy his time too. He collects things, he makes friends with bugs, and he looks at the stars as well as watching romantic movies. He longs for a companion. One day he finds a plant, and he's never seen it before. He finds a glowing red dot on the ground and chases that until it bring him to a space ship. Inside, is a new robot called Eve. You know how it goes, this story and the art in it is just heartwarming. Of course my favourite robot is Wall E, and I'm really glad i got the chance to check this out. I definitely recommend you check it out too, if you liked the movie.

Wall-E is a cute story in movie format and that thankfully crossed over into this adaptation. I definitely like how it kept true to the original.

Absolutely adorable and cute! It worked quite well in a manga format and I really enjoyed it. I recommend giving it a chance.

I love how Disney is slowly publishing manga of some of their famous animation movies. I'm a fan of their films and one of them is Wall-E. I grabbed the opportunity to have the chance to get the reading copy of this manga and reading it is like re-living the movies.

However, I found out that there are some comic panels that are a bit hard to comprehend or follow. Thankfully, I've watched the movie version several times already, thus I was able to understand them immediately. But for young readers, there may be some problems that they may encounter. Nonetheless, this is quite entertaining and hopefully, they will produce more manga version of their movies in the future.

Wall-E is awesome, there's no denying it.

Like other manga in this series it closely follows the original story so there is not a lot of new things to be discovered. The artwork delivers but is relatively simple. Wall-E is cute. There is a little bit of extra things at the end aimed for children.

Nice for fans, but otherwise I think the movie itself will do.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

An adorable manga version of the original Wall-E movie.

If you didn't know, Wall-E is my favourite Disney Pixar movie, and when I discovered this manga, I just knew I had to read it.

The manga closely follows the movie, but we get a little more information on some beloved characters. Like, did you know the cockroach's name is Hal? I didn't! And also, little Hal falls in love, too! We get to see beloved characters again including M-O, Eve and the Captain - which was a lot of fun.

The manga, however, was quite short and went through the events of the movie very quickly. Occasionally it skipped over a few scenes, but you get enough to understand the gist of it. Overall, a very cute, short introduction to the original.

A cute Manga style comic based on some of my favorite Pixar characters, Wall- E and EVE. A fun approach that i felt is perfect for introducing children to the reading style and layout of Manga. Adorable, and fun!

I have received a much appreciated digital copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I don't think there is a person in existence who has watched and not loved Wall-E the movie. This manga adaptation of Wall-E stays faithful to the original while also ending things with a few additional scenes. And since this manga was made with children as the primary audience, it has character descriptions in the beginning and fun trivia at the end that I'm sure they'll love.
While the storyline was perfectly captured in this, it felt just a little short than it should've been in my personal opinion. It left me wanting in some way and that want wasn't satisfied. Other than that disappointment, this was a solid read with a pleasant, not so confusing artwork. This is suitable to gift to hardcore wall-e movie fans and/or children.

Disney have released the manga of WALLE, completed in black and white manga art with minimal wording used as per manga, with extras like a quiz, character guide and samples of the other manga books offered by Disney.

WALLE the original story from the film is told here, where he meets Eve and the pair discover new things to them both and meet the humans too.

I enjoyed rediscovering the tale of WALLE as told in this way as the art is impressive and tells the story beautifully and the artist talent is astoundingly clear.

Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!

'Disney Pixar Manga: Wall-E' by Shiro Shirai is an adaptation of the Pixar movie that is pretty faithful to the original.

The story starts with an introduction to the different characters the reader will encounter. Then we meet Wall-E, the lone robot left of his type, whose job is the clean up the Earth after humans trashed it. His lone companion is a cockroach, until he meets EVE and he is instantly attracted. EVE has her own plans and they don't include Wall-E. Their adventures lead them into space where the reader finds out what happened to the humans.

After the story, there is some fun Wall-E trivia. There are also character designs and a short comic. My copy included a bonus story from the Manga: Lilo and Stitch as a back up story. I liked this presentation. The story adaptation and the art were good. The bonuses were a fun addition.

I received a review copy of this manga from Tokyopop, Diamond Book Distributors, and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this manga.

What’s a robot to do? Is there more to life than shoveling garbage?

WALL-E’s the last robot on Earth. He’s been cleaning up the Earth for 700 years, he’s got a cool collection of gizmos and gadgets, and he’s got a cockroach for a friend. What else could a robot need? He soon discovers there’s more to life when EVE arrives to assess the current condition of the Earth. Suddenly, the universe opens up with friendship, friends in far places, a clueless captain, and a villain. What WALL-E doesn't know is that he has found something that will change everything for everyone...

The innocence and insights that come across so well in WALL-E the movie are still here, wonderfully drawn as manga that capture the expressions and emotions of the robots (which is fantastic in itself) and the humans aboard the Axiom. The emphasis is on the robots, although more about the humans is included in the life on the Axiom section.

In addition to the story, there’s a really neat info section introducing the main characters, a timeline of the world and the story, a trivia quiz, a section on life on the Axiom, and a preview of a Stitch manga. There are also sneak peeks at other Disney manga titles.

I tried read this on my Fire tablet and my iPad, and I think the quality is better on the iPad, I’m sure it’s probably just the resolution of the screen. It was very readable on both.

Remember to follow the panels and conversation bubbles from right to left. There’s a handy reference at the front (actually the back) of the book that shows you the flow in numbers, so you won’t get lost. (Trying to read left to right will get your brain in a knot and make for some really weird conversations!)

Highly recommended for anyone who loved the movie, loves manga, or simply enjoys an intelligent children’s book.
