An adorable non traditional, historical romance. A Gem of a readvwith a heroine named Gemma who is a real find and a bonafide Geologist. The hero Cam is also noteworthy. Highly recommend to those who enjoy laughs with romance |

Fourth in the Studies In Scandal series, One For The Rogue is as engrossing as the previous books. Geologist Gemma Hastings strives to complete her task, even though her instructions were abbreviated by the death of Lady Celeste. Lord Lisle also a geologist doesn't think much of women in the field. After a unsatisfying introduction to Lord Cameron Lisle, and a few disagreements, the two began to work together to solve the puzzle left for Gemma. Toss in a stolen fossil, a murder mystery, sexual attraction and family interference to add to this tale of romance. Ms. Collins' descriptions and writing style make this book an enjoyable read. I was granted an ARC from NetGalley for my honest opinion. |

I liked, One for the Rogue. It was a great end to the series. I think that Gemma's happy ever after is perfect for her. |

As usual, I read this as a standalone. This book has been the most fun to me while reading romance through Netgalley UK! The writing is clear and crisp, never missing a beat. This author knows how to take charge of the story and its characters. Dialogues are exciting and on-point. Always had me chuckling! I absolutely love it! I for one am swooning (almost too much) at the leading lord and (soon-to-be) lady. Their chemistry really sizzles. I also found the protrayal of Sophie and Benedick’s (heroine’s sister and brother-in-law respectively) relationship endearing; giving wise counsel to the sometimes hasty couple. I loved every moment reading this book. |

I received this novel from net galley and the publisher for an honest review. Thank you!! This novel was good finale for the Studies in Scandal series. It continues the romance with mystery based on Celeste Beauchamp's letters to four women with great talents. These women try to succeed in their fields of study in a male dominated world. Gemma Hastings is a geologist and has no time for love, nor does she want to be married. Lord Cameron Lisle is a fossil hunter and has prejudged Gemma. However, once he see Gemma in the field and her knowledge of artifacts, he realized how much he misjudged her. Gemma is trying to puzzle out Celeste's incomplete letter to her and needs Cam's help to find the artifact Celeste hid many years ago. However, there are others who want that artifact and will do whatever is necessary, threats and murder to get that artifact. Cam knows he needs to keep Gemma safe from this, but Gemma is stubborn and needs to find that artifacts. What Gemma never expected was these feelings she has towards Cam and Cam never expected to ever want to marry. Cam knows life with Gemma would never be boring and he will do whatever is necessary to change her mind about marriage to him. Gemma and Cam cannot fight their attraction to each other as they spend more time together. But the villain is still out there. Will they be able to find the artifact and stop the villain before the villain strikes again? |

Thanks to St Martin’s Press and NetGalley for a copy of this book, the latest in the series about the heiresses of Beauchamp House. This book would be better read as part of the series but standalone would be fine too. A mystery romance with captivating characters and an intriguing storyline. I’m now awaiting what I hope will be the next part of the series, the tale of Serena. . |
