I enjoyed this book very much. It kept me turning the pages and unwilling to put it down. The twist at the end was surprising and satisfying! I recommend this book!

The first recommended book with a male POV is “Lies” by T. M. Logan. Classified under the genre Mystery & Thrillers, it has been described by New York Times bestselling author Lee Child as “Assured, compelling, and hypnotically readable—with a twist at the end I guarantee you won’t see coming.”

I agree! When I first got hold of this book, I was hooked in the first chapter. I could not turn the pages fast enough. There were a few holes in the logic, but they were not significant enough to deter me from enjoying the book.

“Lies” opened with Joe Lynch, a happily married man, a devoted father, and a respected teacher living in a well-to-do London suburb driving home with his son when he saw his wife enter a hotel parking garage.

That was the pivotal moment when Joe’s “perfect and very ordinary life” tilted on its axis. After witnessing his wife having a heated argument with her best friend’s husband, Joe got into an altercation with the other man where he left him for dead, bleeding and unconscious.

Feeling guilty, Joe went back to the scene of the crime in a manner of speaking but found the man missing, all traces him, including his car was gone.

What followed was a rollercoaster ride where Joe did not know whether he was coming or going, what was real and what was not, what was the truth and what was the lie.

There is only one constant he can rely on – his son William is real, and Joe needs to protect him. But what if it costs him his life? Who will take care of William?

This book kept me coming back for more and the ending I didn’t see coming but it tied in all aspects that the author told in the story. Would for sure read this author again!

Lies was believable until it wasn't. :( I had high hopes for this one, and they kept falling as the book progressed. By the time the ending arrived, I was a bit disappointed. There were just too many events that didn't ring true.

Lies by T.M. Logan is an amazing debut novel!
It sucked me right in from Page 1.
It definitely lived up to it's title "Lies" (lies and more lies).
A fast, suspenseful read that I highly recommend.

Lies grabbed my attention from the first sentence and did not let go until the very unexpected ending. This book begs several questions such as can your posts, as well as other people's posts on social media, make your life go out of control, and do really know who your internet friends are? The situation Joe finds himself in in this book definitely makes the reader wonder just how much privacy they really have when using the internet and smartphones and how once it's out there, it's there to stay.

I pretty much raced through this book and would definitely recommend it.

*cackling with glee*
This was delicious thriller fluff. I was scanning the words on each page with breakneck speed, just to find out what would happen next. And what happened next was actually unexpected, a big surprise, and deliciously evil. I don't care how insane it was, I loved the ending!

It breaks a few of my rules:
1. There's a certain lack of logic with Joe (Even knowing only what Joe thought he knew at the time, if he'd demanded the police check with Mel and Beth and their texts/phone calls to confirm his story, things might have been different).
2. There's a real lack of logic with the police: Why the huge push for a *murder* investigation at the point a grown man is just missing for a few days? And why didn't they do what Joe should have asked them to do even without him asking?
3. There's an insane lack of logic with the crime: It could have and would have been pinned on Joe without any of the technological set-up. The end-goal of the crime would have been achieved even without the extraordinary technological efforts.
4. And the worst: The real culprit just confesses it all at the end (BIGGEST PET PEEVE).

But the RIDE was so fun! It was nonstop action, and even though the setup seemed so easy to disprove, as things get worse and worse for Joe I made myself read faster and faster and faster. The ride itself was so fun it really overrode any concerns I had with logic. I was 100% in the whole time.

I can't overstate how much fun this was, and how much I loved the ending. It would have been amazing in a film. All I can point to is all the terrible reviews I've given other books with the same logic issues, yet this one somehow overcame all that to get five stars from me. I just don't do that. Go read this book and have a blast.

I received an ARC from NetGalley LONG ago in exchange for an honest review. I'm so happy I didn't skip it! Now I'm off to read the newest one I have from T.M. Logan and I'm SO EXCITED!!

I was gripped from the very first page. Good suspense.

A solid entry in the crowded domestic mystery/suspense genre. Interesting and well paced, absolutely worth a read.

While this thriller certainly didn’t bring anything super new to the table, with all the domestic noir out, it was refreshing to read a thriller with a reliable narrator and no flashbacks! An easy breezy summer read.

This was a new to me author and narrator and I would look for them both again!

This one kept me guessing but when the reveal came with 45 minutes left I yelled I Knew It! I was fine with figuring it out there was still a satisfaction in it!

This was a good thriller and you couldn't help but feel sorry for poor Joe you knew from the beginning things weren't going to go well for him but man this poor guy had a tough time!

I would recommend this one if you enjoy a good thriller!

4 stars

There are lies and then there are lies that can destroy relationships and hurt people. T. M. Logan's domestic thriller on steroids is a house of cards precariously balanced all after Joe sees his wife entering a parking garage. From there the story and the intensity does not let up. I could not put this book down because I needed to know how it ended. I can't wait to read more from T. M. Logan.

By the time i was half way through it I started recommending it to everyone I know. Which is unusal for me. The suspense will truly keep you on the edge of your seat, turning pages as fast as you can. I just loved this book! Fast-paced, emotionally evocative, unbelievable twists, head-scratching turns and just when you think you've got it all figured out - you've probably figured wrong! This captivating and gritty tale is rich in detail and vivid descriptions and has intriguing and suspenseful twists and turns that leaves the reader with no other option than to keep turning the pages to find out what happens next. As a diehard fan of psychological thrillers, I must admit that this story exceeded my expectations. The dark intensity of the storyline and the complexity of the intertwining connection between the dark past and the heartbreaking present Truly make it unputdownable!I read it in a day and half. I really could not turn the pages fast enough. And the ending wow i never saw the ending coming. This is my first book by this author and it won’t be the last. It is totally mind blowing that this is this authors debut novel . I can not wait to see what else he has to offer. Definitely a must read.

Not impressed. Very predictable and one dimensional. Received as an ARC, voluntarily gave my feedback.

I really enjoyed this novel. It is a clear example of what lies can do, and how they may impact our lives. Do we truly know the people on our lives, or do we simply think we know them? What could they be hiding? Very compelling story, definitely worth a read!

Lies by T.M. Logan blew me away. I want to read everything this author pens in the future. New fan. Joe’s life is unraveling and spinning out of control. One little incident and his life as he knew it is gone.

Joe’s son spots his wife’s car in a hotel parking lot, he thinks to surprise her and is shocked to see her arguing with a neighbor. It looks heated and he retreats. There is probably a logical explanation, right? But she lies. This one small lie leads Joe down a dark road that he may never recover from.

I won’t give anything away, but this book was so, so good. A thrilling classic. Grab it today!

This was a great mystery and I look forward to more books by this author. The ended is really twisty. I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys B.A. Paris or Sheri Lapena books.

Lies started off a bit slow for me and unfortunately, I never got into it. I was intrigued by the story however the suspense wasn’t intense enough for me, maybe too much drama to the story. It felt like nothing new here and that stalled the story for me. While what felt like nothing new at first took quite the turn for me with that final reveal and I have to say I was quite surprised with it. However, the build-up was a bit to slow for me to make that reveal rewarding.

I do recommend this one to readers who like a little drama to their story. I think the reveal would be quite rewarding if you do.

TM Logan offers readers a domestic thriller that kept me entertained throughout. I appreciated the ability to experience the events through a man's eyes, which is usually not the case. The premise was intriguing and overall the story was solid, if a little predictable. The pacing seemed a little slow to me at times, however the characters were strong and layered which kept me returning to the story. I would read more from TM Logan.
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.
