Karen does such a good job with characters and story that you are drawn right in to the book and it’s very hard to stop and start. In other words, I couldn’t put it down until I was finished.

I loved this story. Many secrets but such a nice, simple (meaning not psychological or horror related) reading. Trying to figure out the ending before it happens is always my goal and I love that this made me work for it.

Who wouldn't love this book!? The characters make you feel you are part of their lives, you experience their highs and lows just as you would in your own lives with the hope that the ending would turn out well for them. This is a fabulous book, humorous, poignant and a true reflection of modern life. A great read - highly recommended.

Daisy is at it again! I have to admit, this is probably my favorite cozy mystery series because Smith keeps my interest from the first page.

The story is well developed, as always. And I was engaged until the end.

Daisy runs Daisy's tea garden and while many tourists are hitting her shop and the shops in the area there is also a bad seed among them and when things get dark Daisy gets involved in a mystery that may have her in hot water.

This is the second book in the Daisy's Tea Garden Mystery series and an enjoyable addition it was. The store owners in Willow Creek are getting ready for the Quilt Lovers' Weekend. It is being spearheaded by art gallery owner and Tessa's boyfriend, Reese Masemer. When his body is found, bludgeoned, by the bridge where Tessa loves to paint, she is the primary suspect.Daisy does not want to see her friend and employee arrested for a crime she is sure she did not commit, so she begins to ask questions. When the murder weapon is found hidden in the attic of Tessa's house, it is obvious that someone is trying to frame her. As Daisy begins her search, she goes online and discovers that Reese has a lot of secrets. Does someone from his past hate him enough to kill him? I didn't guess the killer and I am glad that Daisy has finally come to her senses about one of the handsome men in her life.

I loved visiting Willow Creek again. Aunt Iris is such a sweetheart and Iris and Daisy have a great relationship. Iris and her mom, Rose, do not have a great relationship as Rose has expectations for Daisy that she does not want to pursue. Daisy's two children Jazzi and Violet both make an appearance in the story and show how important family is to Daisy. Daisy is a character I enjoy, as the issues she copes with are realistic and easy to relate to. The supporting cast is also interesting and their relationships fill out the story in a realistic way. I am not sure about the romance in the book yet, I hope it proceeds in a slow and positive way. The one character I do not like at all is Detective Morris Rappaport. He is not a very nice person and often has blinders on when investigating. I like that he was put in his place in the story. The mystery was well done. There were a lot of clues to follow, many suspects as Reese's past became known and some twists. I had no idea who the culprit was until the final, climactic reveal at the end. The culprit is believable, but it seemed to come out of left field to me. I like when I can go back and say, yes, I didn't see that. I love scones, so am looking forward to trying the recipe at the back for Cinnamon Scones. I recommend this book to cozy mystery lovers. You do not need to read the first book to enjoy this one.

In the second installment of the Daisy’s Tea Garden Mystery series, Murder with Cinnamon Scones, by Karen Rose Smith, the town is gearing up for what is expected to be a fun and profitable quilting event when Tessa’s boyfriend is murdered. Tessa is blamed and Daisy investigates.

This is a fun culinary mystery – a cozy with no sex, profanity, or violence – that is suitable for all ages. It is fast moving, and the story is easy to follow, with well-developed characters. The bonus is that there are recipes at the end (the cinnamon scone recipe works well and the scones are delicious). The novel is organized and the story flows well. For those readers who enjoy light mysteries, this is a good novel, and the series is worth picking up.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

Quilt Lovers Weekend is only three weeks away and Daisy Swanson is deep in planning for the event with other small business owners in their small town in PA Amish country. Not the best time for her best friend, Tessa, to be suspected of the murder of her boyfriend and art gallery owner, Reese. Daisy co-owns a tea shop with her aunt and getting that business off the ground and tending to her teenage daughters already keep her hopping. Initially, I found the story heavy with backstory, so much that I thought the series was further along than only the second book. However, the characters and story totally won me over. These are honest-to-God real people that I want to meet up with again.

This series is a perfect example of a cozy mystery. Quaint setting. Strong female protagonist and engaging characters. A small business that is run by multiple members of the same family. I'm also a big tea drinker, so a book set in a tea shop is always appealing to me. I enjoyed this book and look forward to more in the series.

Daisy and her aunt own a tea shop in Amish Pennsylvania. In this story one of her daughters, Jasmine, who is adopted has contacted her birth mother. Reese Masemer is murdered in their garden. Great storyline and complex characters. Recipes included in this story. I loved this book.

Willow Creek is hosting a Quilt Lover's Weekend, and Daisy Swanson, who along with her Aunt Iris runs a tea shop, is ready to make sure things run smoothly.

One of Daisy's employees, Tessa, who is also one of her best friends, has been dating a town artist, Reese Masemer. When Reese is found dead near a covered bridge, the police immediately suspect Tessa. It's up to Daisy to figure out whodunit, and save Tessa.

Karen Rose Smith is known for drawing great characters and emotional stories, and Murder with Cinnamon Scones is one of her best. I liked this one even more than I did the first book in the series. I'm not sure why. Maybe it was because of the closeness I felt between Daisy and Tessa, and the way Daisy fought for her friend. There is also the way Daisy is so protective of her daughter, Jazzie, as she works to develop a relationship with her birthmother.

All of these things kept me engaged and wanting to turn the page. The mystery in this one was tighter than the first book, and there were some twists and turns that I did not see coming. That, of course, added to the tension of the book. I savored the ending of this book, and it made me wish for more in the series.

There is romance in this book, but to me it doesn't take over, and to me it adds to Daisy's character and makes her seem real.

This series gets better with each book. Definitely looking forward to the next one.

A great cozy mystery. This is the second book in the series. There is also some drama and romance with the mystery. Fun characters! A well told story. And very easy to get into.

I've been a fan of Karen Rose Smith for awhile now. I love this series just as much as i love her other series. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

I enjoy the author's other cozy series but this series is just not catching my interest. I read the first one and I was hoping this 2nd book would be better but I was disappointed. The mystery is almost the same and the writing is lazy. The romances are forced. I just do not find myself warming up to the characters. The main character is more annoying than endearing. The mystery was easy to solve. I hope the author improves the third book in the series.

Another delectable culinary cozy mystery in the Daisy Tea Garden series! The author does a fabulous job of setting not only setting a vivid scene but creating enjoyable characters who are tangled up in a well planned mystery! A fun whodunnit that will keep you guessing until the end. I especially enjoyed the included recipes. I look forward to reading more in this series!

Murder with Cinnamon Scones is the second book in the Daisy’s Tea Garden Mystery series. I loved the first book, Murder with Lemon Tea Cakes, so I was excited to read this one. And it lived up to the first one. Of course, there were some of the same characters, but also new ones, Like Daisy's best friend, Tessa, and the man she was dating. These characters were also well written and well developed. The storyline was also good and well written. I did not know who the killer was until the end. It was a book I could not put down and read in one day. I loved it!

can murder be fun? It is in this cozy mystery. I read a lot of Amish stories but my favorite Amish stories include a mystery. This books fits the bill perfectly. I loved the recipes as well. This could be my new favorite series. I was given a copy of this book by the publisher through netgalley. The review is my honest opinion

This second installment of the Daisy Tea Garden Mysteries was just as good as the first. Daisy and other shopkeepers in Willow Creek are hosting Quilt Lover's Week but Reese Masemer will be missing out on all the fun - He's found murdered by the covered bridge and Daisy's best friend Tessa (Reese's girlfriend) is the prime suspect.

The story moves along so well with insights into running the business, blossoming romance and delectable sounding treats all intermix with the clues for this fun whodunnit. I only wish I could find Willow Creek on a real map so I could visit the Tea Garden.

Murder with Cinnamon Scones by Karen Rose Smith is the second book in the Daisy's Tea Garden Mystery series. Daisy is busy getting ready for a quilter's weekend while running her tea garden. Her friend and employee, Tessa, is dating another local business owner who seems quite secretive. When he is found dead, Tessa is the number one suspect. Daisy sets out to clear Tessa's name. The tea room setting is lovely and makes me wish I could visit the tea garden. The characters add to the charm of this series, and I look forward to many more books.
