Kelly Jamison writes with heart and sizzling heat and I always devour everything she writes. I enjoyed reading SCREWED it is a feel good story with emotion. The characters are entertaining and easy to connect with and the story is sweet and sexy.

Callie is rediscovering herself after divorcing her cheating husband. She has grown up in a family with lots of money and their only concern is what others think. Now that she is divorced, Callie is questioning everything about her life. She is tired of pleasing her parents in spite of herself and she is slowly figuring out who she is and what she wants. Along the way, Callie finds herself attracted to Cash, her ex’s best friend.

Cash is a good guy who grew up poor but is now rich and successful. He has always admired Callie and now that she is divorced, he can’t seem to stop himself from falling for her. Even though Callie’s husband cheated in her, Cash knows he should stay away from her. I love the way Cash treats Callie. He is always there for her and will do anything to make her happy. He is protective, warm and loving and I love his sexy Texas drawl.

Callie and Cash are both struggling with their feelings for each other. They are easy to like and their biggest flaw is trying to please everyone else but themselves. They have to learn to make themselves happy without feeling guilty and worried about hurting others.

This is a great read! What do you do when you fall in love with you best friend's girl? Watch him marry her and try to forget your feelings but when you buddy does the ultimate stupid act of cheating on her and divorce follows, well all bets are off! Callie is home after her European newly single adventure and has to figure what to do with the rest of her life, luckily she has good friends to help. Callie has always liked her ex-husband's best friend and business partner, Cash but she didn't expect how deep her feelings would go. Where was Cash's loyalty going to lie? This read has it all; humor, great characters, fun story line and sex! Another great book from Kelly Jamieson!

As I began reading this book I realised that it was familiar and had probably read it before. Turns out Screwed was a part of the Sutherlands anthology.

I found this book to be very romantic and a tiny bit heartbreaking but I loved that the side characters involved could rise above the difficult situation and focus on the happiness of others. This is rare because most of the antagonists are either paid off or scared off by other means. But forgiveness and acknowledging one's weakness is not the usual MO. And this is what I take away with me from this book.

After a divorce from her cheating ex-husband, Callie is trying to figure out what to do with her life. Having always done what her family wanted, she is now breaking away, but the answers to her dilemma aren’t so easy to find. Cash, her friend and yet her ex’s best friend as well, has been there to help her with small problems along the way. After a drunken night, a discussion of tattoos and some cookies, Callie is suddenly seeing something in Cash she was never expecting.

I enjoyed this “ex’s best friend” story. Cash has been in love with Callie for years and yet his loyalty to his friend has kept him at a distance. Now he can’t seem to stay away, but what will happen to his friendship and most importantly, the business they share together, if news of their relationship gets out?

Callie had a real struggle on her hands but she was strong and determined despite the emotional obstacles that stood in her way. Cash was wonderful! He was so caring and supportive of her every step of the way. I loved when his alpha tendencies arose! I was so curious how this whole situation was going to sort itself out because it felt like someone was going to lose along the way. The ending was maybe a tad bit tidy and smooth for the circumstances, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

This was a well-paced read that had some great secondary characters, some of which I wanted to push out of a fast running car. The heat level was steamy and oh so good with some dirty talk, which I LOVE, thrown in and the chemistry between Callie and Cash was at overload. There’s an epilogue that only covers a few weeks, so I would’ve liked a further look into their future, but I closed this book feeling happy and sated and again, so pleased with this author’s work.

I knew as soon as I read the description that I needed to read this book. I always enjoy angst filled and forbidden romances and this one didn't disappoint. Kelly Jamieson has written a story that is the perfect mix of hot and sweet. Cash and Callie have a strong connection and an easy rapport and they deserve to be happy even if it is a little messy getting there.

This is one of my favorite forbidden love reads.

Callie is newly divorced and ready to start her life in a new direction. Her champion, Cash, is there when she needs help. What once was friendship is now turning in to something more. It is all kinds of wrong for Callie because Cash is also her ex's best friend.

Cash and Callie deliver the heat. The taboo elements (ex's best friend) adds a lot of spice to this story. 4.5 stars for bringing the heat.

I've read other books by this author and have loved them but unfortunately this book seemed a little dull for me. There wasn't anything necessarily wrong with the story, I liked both Cash and Callie's characters but there just seemed to be something lacking for me overall with this book.

Bring in love with your best friend's wife is kind of a deal breaker for me. Even if they are divorced.
DNF this one

Cash has been in love with Callie since the day he met her, but she was the girlfriend and then wife of his best friend. But when his best friend cheats on Callie, she kicks him out and then divorces him. A year later, Callie is back from traveling the world that she used to escape her hurt. So when she asks Cash to come over and fix some things for her, he has no idea that his life will spin out of control as his desire for her grows. Callie begins to see Cash in a new light and falls head over heels for him ... and they begin a secret affair.

This book is a cute romantic comedy and you can't help but fall into the story wondering if they are going to get caught. At first I thought Callie was a spoiled princess ... and don't get me wrong she is, but there is also a whole other side to her that's strong and determined to prove her parents wrong. And Cash ... you can't help but fall in love with him. He's truly a good guy who just wants to "fix" everything and everyone ... but he's tired of that saying "nice guys finish last" so he goes after what he wants ... Callie!

Being in love with your best friend’s wife is probably not a good idea. But what happens when said couple are getting a divorce? Is Callie fair game? Oh and did I mention the best friends are business partners too? Oh yeah this could get a bit sticky, especially with love and business on the line.

Freshly divorce and back on American soil, Callie Sutherland is surprised by her friends with a Divorce Party at a local club. After a few hours of dancing, and few too many martini's and a little bit of self-loathing, Cash Hale arrives at the party.

Cash Hale who is also her ex-husbands best friend.
Cash Hale who is also her ex-husbands business partner.
Cash Hale who has been in love with Callie for years.
& Absoutely Off Limits.

Well, until the sexual attraction becomes too much.....

The story flowed nicely, and the characters were great. I didn't feel like the story got "boring" at all. Cash was the perfect mix of alpha male and a total sweetheart. I love how he treated EVERYONE in the book, his family, friends (even punching one a *few* times) and Callie. He just came across as a very honourable kind of guy - which was great.
And I loved Callie, she wasn't a doormat and could really stand up for herself when needed - WHICH I LOVED! Her family was never supportive, her ex is a total douche and she held her own. (HELL YES to strong heroines)

Like I said, the characters were truly great and you will stay totally engrossed with each page, watching them fight the inevitable.

Kelly Jamieson is a new-to-me author, and I really enjoyed Callie and Cash's friends-t0-lovers story. This was a really sweet, quick read and would be perfect one of those days where you just want to get lost in a love story. By the end of this book, I had a giant smile on my face. Although I would have loved a further-in-the-future Epilogue - only because I wasn't ready to say goodbye yet.

When I first read this book it was somewhat shorter so I was thrilled to find it expanded and re-released. Being a lifelong Texan, I found Screwed to be overly clichéd, however I loved the story and the characters so I put the whole overblown Texan bit aside and focused on the couple and their relationship. A forbidden affair leads to so much more in this sweet and satisfying contemporary romance from Kelly Jamieson.

After finding her husband cheating with his secretary, Callie files for divorce and spends a year abroad expanding her horizons in more ways than one. Back home in Houston, Callie is dealing with her disapproving parents who preferred her to stay married and look the other way, working on finding what she wants to do with her life, and reconnecting with friends including Cash, he ex-husband’s best friend and business partner.

I admired Callie for standing her ground with her ignorant parents and doing what made her happy even when they put pressure on her to reconcile with her ex-husband whom they adored. I loved how Cash felt protective of Callie and worked to be her friend even when he wanted more with her and had for many years. Their relationship developed over time and despite the limits they put on it so as to not draw attention to Callie and to preserve Cash and Beau’s friendship, it was easy to see that both Callie and Cash were feeling way more than they wanted to admit.

A hero with a heart of gold and willing to give up everything for love and a heroine who is determined to find her happiness despite people in her life always bringing her down, made Screwed an enticing love story.

Review will post on release date 5/28/18.

This started sort of slow and felt like it was filled with too many Texan cliches. Eventually the story settled down and I really enjoyed the insight into Cash and Callie. As always with Kelly Jamieson books, this story is very grown up. I love to read her books because a lot of the immature behavior that I see in other books is missing. These characters are adults with adult issues and they handle them that way. I enjoyed the family dynamics and the parallels that Jamieson drew between Cash's situation and his history with his father. Callie's family wasn't as cut and dry as they seemed when the book started and that was a pleasant surprise. Even the main conflict played out in a very satisfying way. 3. 5 Stars

Rating: 4.5/5

This is a delicious, heartwarming, sweet friends to lovers romance. It is a story about Callie Sutherland who divorces Beau, her cheating husband, and is starting to make a new life for herself. She has a lot of support from her ex-husband’s business partner and best friend, Cash Hale, but as the attraction between the two escalates so do the obstacles in their way! Cash has loved Callie for years - even before she married Beau but has resisted the attraction . . . until now! He is a sweet, strong character, supportive and caring with a strong core of both integrity and loyalty.

A steamy romance, packed with angst and turmoil, this is also a story of finding your own self worth, an emotional roller coaster journey of valuing yourself above those who aspire to denigrate you. It is a story of forbidden love, packed with dilemmas and not worrying so much about outward appearances. Her parents never seem to acknowledge what a lovely daughter they have and have never really supported her or her dreams, they are definitely into maintaining a positive facade, whatever the cost. The added problem is that her parents are also the ones about to make a decision concerning an important contract for which Cash and Beau’s firm have bid . . . . Should Cash put business or love first?

This author takes readers right into the story in an engaging story with great characters and a well developed plot. There are some laugh out loud moments and some which just made me so cross (usually with her parents or ex). It is a delightful, easy read, just right when you want to escape into something relatively light and enjoyable. There are some tasty treats along the way, too, to whet your appetite!

I won an e-copy of this novel, via the publishers and NetGalley, with no obligation. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

Great story but I hated the unnecessary use of the Lord’s name in vain. It was so offensive that I had to skip dialogue. If that had been left out, this would have been a solid 4 stars.

A very nice story that really caught by surprise. Cash Hall has really been in love with his best friend wife since they were in college. He has since watched them get married, became business partner with her husband and has now seen them divorced. He cannot believe that his friend would treat a women like Callie Southerland the way he did. Now he and Beau just deal with business and since Callie has returned from Europe he finds time to spend with her. She is finding herself looking forward to the time she and Cash can be together and talk, for he is the only person other than a few friends that give her encouragement about her wanting to start a new business. The more time they spend together the more they realize that they are falling for each other, but Cash is confused with the whole friend, business partner and how it will look. He then decides do I want to walk away from her or the business. A very good story and the author takes you back to college and the day when Cash falls for Callie. This is a very good book with many good characters, and like I said much better than I was expecting from the title.

This is the first Kelly Jamieson story that I have read that was not sports related - and I liked it!

Cash and Callie's story is as sweet, sexy, heartwarming friend-to-lovers story about a woman and her ex husband's best friend.

We can guess from the outset that his is going to cause some problems, however I loved the way our lovelies worked their way through them - eventually.

I am not going to lie - I pretty much despised her ex and her parents most of the book! What a bunch of douchecanoes!

Cash is just all kinds of swoonworthy - Callie girl, if you didn't take him I was going to claim him!

So many hurdles for C & C to overcome, will they get their HEA? Nup, for that you need to read for yourself.

Wonderful characters, strong story line, I was hooked from the minute I started right till the last word.

I can't wait to see what Ms Jamieson brings us next

He's sexy, he's kind-hearted, he's totally breaking the bro code! I absolutely adored this book! Cash and Callie are super sweet together, and their chemistry is oh so sexy. The added storyline of being a secret gives it a taboo feel, but it's not long before we start crossing our fingers that they find a way to turn it into forever. You'll laugh, you'll go "awwww" and you might need a fan during those steamy scenes!

Cash Hale has been carrying a torch for her since they met back in college. They had a connection, but the timing was all wrong. She was off-limits ... his best friend's girl ... then his best friend's wife. The logistics have changed now though ... and he still feels that same old attraction when he's in her presence. Can he really go against the loyalty that's ingrained in his heart to try to find that happiness that has alluded him all these years?

Callie Sutherland is newly divorced and trying to figure out what to do with her life again. She kicked her cheating ex to the curb awhile back, and she's tired of living simply to please impossible people. She's going after what she wants, starting with Cash!

Thanks Netgalley for a copy to read and review and give my honest opinion. What a sinfully sexy cover.....yum, the blurb and let's face it...YES the title caught my eye.

Fantastic novel btw...loved it. Callie is back from Europe finalizing that divorce...and conversating at her divorce party. Too much to drink, she lets her ex's bestie take her home. Things with Cash take a different spin when she starts having feelings for him. Callie has a penchant for making baked good..cakes, cupcakes and such. Then things start to lean toward her starting her own business. Will she be able to keep Cash as her man?

Amazing and fun book...light and fluffy read with some fun loving characters. I enjoyed it immensely and would definitely read more by this author. Four stars of entertainment.... thanks so much for a great book!
