This is the 3rd novel I have read by Kimberly Belle and I have loved them all. Her stories are unique and riveting!
It's every parents worst nightmare to have the police arrive on your doorstep telling you your child has disappeared. This happens to Kat Jenkins when her 9 yr old son Ethan is missing from the cabin where he'd been on a overnight class trip. Ethan's disappearance has earth-shattering consequences for Steph, another mother from the school. Both mothers lives collide in a shocking way as they desperately search for answers.
I was totally captivated by this fast-paced domestic thriller!

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin/Park Row for a copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

Pretty decent book, I enjoyed the writing. This was the first that I'd ever read from the author, so I was positively surprised that I enjoyed the book as much as I did. The plot was great, and the characters were interesting. It kept my interest, more so than a lot of other books I've read recently.

What would you do if your child disappeared? What if it was not suppose to be him? What if you found out someone close to you was the reason behind your son’s disappearance?

Kat Jenkins awakes to the police pounding on her door. Her son, Ethan, has gone missing from an overnight trip with his school’s second grade class. Kat is devastated. Where can he be?

Stephanie is the mayor’s wife. Their son, Sammy, is also on this overnight trip. He’s a bully to Ethan. He’s tormented him and now Ethan is gone. No one knows what happened. No one saw anything.

Kat and Ethan struggle to make ends meet. Stephanie and Sammy have it made. Sammy has everything his heart desires. Ethan does not. But both boys are very much loved. They don’t like each other but both boys are from good, caring homes. Who could or would have done this? Was it for revenge or money?

Kimberly Belle certainly knows how to write a story that will keep you turning pages. Keep you on the edge and even though parts I believe were meant to be guessed, there were other parts that will certainly keep you guessing. The way this story is written makes it a real page turner. When you finish a chapter you will have to read the next one to see what the ending of the previous was referring too. Each chapter is told from one of the mothers. You feel their anguish. The pain in their heart. The fear they are going through. The descriptions are so real you feel like you are out in the woods with the search team. In the city with the mothers.

This is a very well written book told from two women. Two very different women, but both mothers. Both loving their child completely. Without reservation. The ending blew me away. I was not expecting it but also was not completely surprised. I didn’t see it coming but found it very believable.

This is one mother’s nightmare and another’s terror. Two women who would do anything for their child. It was a very good book and I highly recommend it. I look forward to reading more by this author.

I gave it a 5 star rating and stand by that completely.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin for an ARC of this. My review is my own and in no way influenced because of receiving this ARC copy.

I absolutely loved The Marriage Lie and recommended it to all my friends so I was so excited to start this book too and thankfully Belle did not disappoint. I would consider this a domestic thriller/mystery. It is told with two alternating points of view, Kat, whose son, Ethan has disappeared on a class trip and Stef, another mother of Ethan's classmate. This was such a unique spin on a plot with a missing child. Full of twists and surprises, I loved this one. 4.5 huge stars!!

This was an ok suspense novel about two mothers whose eight year old sons both attend a fancy private school in Georgia. Kat's son Ethan is brilliant but socially awkward. Kat is separated from Ethan's abusive father and is not financially well off. Stef's son Sammy is a bully. She is married to the mayor of Atlanta. When the boys go on a camping trip with their second grade class, Ethan is kidnapped. The story is told from the alternating points of view of Kat and Stef. I found Stef more interesting and most of the plot development happened in her chapters. The plot seemed a little contrived. For example, Kat's best friend just happens to be a search and rescue expert. And I don't believe that parents don't answer their phones when their young children are away from home. Also, there are really only two possible choices for the kidnapper, so you have a fifty percent chance of making the right guess. However, the book did hold my interest. I guessed right, but I thought the motive for the kidnapping was a little shaky.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher.

Many thanks to the author and publisher for an advanced copy of this book.

If you liked The Marriage Lie, you'll love Three Days Missing. (And if you haven't read The Marriage Lie... definitely pick that up!) Belle does a great job of building suspense and getting inside the characters' heads. The dual-narrative storyline works well here, and there's enough suspense and nail-biting anxiety to satisfy thriller lovers.

When's the next one, Kimberly Belle?

This book was so engaging i could not put it down. A mother's worst nightmare comes to life. This book gave me chills, although i'm not a mother i can only imagine the horrific feeling this would give you. I really enjoyed this book and could not put it down as i NEEDED to know what happens next. I highly recommend this book be added to every suspense fiction fans' summer reading list!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for another excellent suspense read from Kimberly.

I'd say what others have done, that this is every parent's worst nightmare, but as a grandparent, I feel the same way about our grandkids and their safety. Speaking of grandparents, I enjoyed Stef's mother in this story. The story is mostly Kat's - the mother of Ethan who has been abducted from camp, but we also get Stef's POV as the mother of the child who was supposed to be abducted.

Even after I figured out who was behind it all, I found myself looking forward to the story even more because I wanted to see how the dynamics would play out. I liked that the author didn't categorize everyone in their "typical" role, and I thought the ending was clever... a great setup for a possible sequel!

Kat is experiencing every mother's worst nightmare - her young son Ethan has disappeared seemingly without a trace while on a class trip. Stef, another mother that appears to have it all, crosses paths with Kat on her quest to find her son and the two mothers, who are very different, find themselves in a race against time to find Ethan.
Kimberly Belle never disappoints - this was a very fast-paced, suspenseful novel that grabbed me from the very first page! The tension seemed to hang off of every page - increasing with each turn until the climax. The character development was phenomenal - I felt like I knew these characters and could feel their emotions like they were my own. Strongly recommended book!!
Thank you to Kimberly Belle, Harlequin and NetGalley for the ARC of this fantastic book!

Every parents nightmare came true for Kat when her 8 year old son goes missing from a school camp field trip. * year old Ethan is missing, its raining and washing away clues as to what happened and who took him. Ethan is struggling to fit in with his class mates but can some of them offer clues as to what happened? Stef is the mayors wife, her son is on the same trip. Does he hold the clues to help find Ethan?

This was a fast paced domestic thriller that had me guessing. The pace was great, it didn't feel like the longest days ever, spanning only 3 days. I really connected to the characters as mothers, as its told for both mothers perspectives. I love Kimberly Belle's writing style, it just sucks me in from the moment I start reading!

Thank you to Netgalley, The Publisher, and Author for this ARC.

I completely enjoyed this book. The action starts early and when a child goes missing timing is everything. The constant tick of time and how long Ethan was missing was such a great tactic. I didn’t figure out who took Ethan until very late in the book and my suspicions were all over the place. Great conflicts and hints and problems between the characters. I loved Kat but at times wanted to push her to get it together. I liked Stef but realize she’s missing a lot going on in her life. Read the book. You’ll see what I mean. Wonderful book!!! Grab is up!!

Against her better judgement, Kat, allows eight year old Ethan to attend an overnight trip to a gold mine, with his class. She even buys him the new sleeping bag he wanted, though going through x contentious divorce, it was something she could little afford. Ethan is a very bright child, but being somewhat socially awkward he is bullied at school. His wanting to go seemed a positive step to Kat, but it is a decision she will come to regret, when the next morning Ethan goes missing.

I really enjoyed this, it was suspenseful, and I liked how the tension increased with each new revelation. Also liked that the two female leads were both portrayed as strong women, from opposite ends of the socioeconomic scale. Both were mothers who loved their sons, and that helped bridge the divided. Also shows the negative effects of bullying, both on the bully and the bullied.

I did guess part of this rather early, not that it was easy to discern, but rather a lucky guess. The ending though predictable in one way, was also chilling in another. Is it possible to identify at such a young age who will become a sociopath or psychopath?

ARC from Netgalley.

THREE DAYS MISSING
By Kimberly Belle

When I first saw the title I thought to myself, ‘No, not ANOTHER child abduction story!’ But I am here to tell you that this book is unique, it is creative. Told from two different perspectives of two very different types of women, both mothers named Kat and Stef.
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to see how much I really did enjoy this book as I was getting tired of abduction stories. However this was so well written and character development was also very good Kimberle Belle you did it again. Well done!

Norma and I read Three Days Missing with four of our Traveling Sisters and we all were pretty much left lost in the same coulee feeling a little chilled after finishing with that chilling and unsettling final twist.

Kimberly Belle does a great job here setting the tension and the anxiety with sending your child off to camp. The tension soars when Ethan goes missing and Kat along with us all are left with questions as to how a child can go missing from camp. We soon learn more is involved here with another mother and her son become involved in the mystery of Ethan disappearing.

Three Day Missing is an entertaining and suspenseful thriller that takes us on a fast-paced, clock ticking race through the coulee to find where Ethan is.

Kimberly Belle creates two strong mothers here with Kat and Stephanie who live very different lives from each other yet similar in many ways as Mothers. We found both interesting and our hearts went out to each as they struggled with finding the truth to Ethan’s disappearance.

And that ending things got a little chilly in the Coulee after finishing this story and some of us were feeling a little uneasy with that well-done ending.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Harlequin, and Kimberly Belle for the opportunity to read and review an advanced copy of this book.

Since I really liked The Marriage Lie by Kimberly Belle, I was expecting to love this book also. I'm sorry to say that I was largely indifferent to it. I didn't really care about or like any of the characters, including the kids, so I didn't feel terribly vested in the outcome. The book is well written, has some pretty good twists, and the plot is fairly sophisticated, but it just didn't keep my interest. At first I blamed myself for reading it in short spurts with long gaps in between readings, but then I realized that if I found it compelling, I would have found time to read it in a more concentrated fashion. If I hadn't felt an obligation to finish it so I could write a review, I might have stopped reading half way through. I would still recommend it to readers who like this kind of suspense novel (as I usually do), especially since I seem to one of the few people who didn't love it, but it just didn't work for me. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance e-copy of the book.

After dropping her son off for an overnight field trip, Kat gets the phone call all parents fear. Her son is missing. Told from multiple perspectives (Kat and the mayor’s wife, Stef), we follow the search for Ethan and discover these two women may have more in common than meets the eye.
I enjoyed this so much more than The Marriage Lie. While I figured out the suspect pretty early on, it was still a fun ride.

This was, yet another, fantastic read from Kimberly Belle. I enjoyed this almost as much as The Marriage Lie. The twisted plots and scenes throughout this book kept me piqued until the very end. I literally read this book in one afternoon. I couldn’t put it down. I’ve seen mixed reviews on this book but it’s a definite read!

The characters were each well-defined and played a specific and important role in the book. Fortunately, all pieces of the story line worked their way out in the end. I was afraid some of the bouncing around throughout the book was filler, but it wrapped itself up nicely in the end.

The story will grab you from the first page. The characters and settings are so real you feel as if you know them. Kimberly Belle moves to the top of everyone’s must read list with this list. I agree with the many respected industry insiders who blurbed this book.

I predicted the end almost immediately, but I still liked it. A solid mystery/thriller that kept me engaged until the end. 3.5 stars. ***Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review***
