Not the kind of book I was expecting. I’m used to more personal books about reading the Bible. At times she seems to not like Scripture at all , but in the next part she loves it. Not a book for a new Believer. I like how she got in the stories of the Bible and infused details into them.

As expected, RHE once again *gets* it - healthy skepticism, not being satisfied with simplistic answers, seeing through platitudes. The way INSPIRED looks at the Bible from various literary angles makes it all the richer. And I was struck by the way Bible passages meant to be read as voices of resistance and liberation have been twisted by modern evangelicals to instill fear, manipulate, and control others. Really appreciated this book.
