A bunch of brawny highlanders, oh yeah I'm there. This second chance romance is a slow burn that kept me on my toes the entire book. How would Niall and Aisla work through their misunderstandings and the deceptions of others? I loved the idea of the wager and seeing each other, especially Aisla, try to seduce the other. They each grew up and had a better relationship because of it. Their chemistry was definitely hot. There are lots of secondary characters that hopefully get their own stories.

This book had my emotions on display. Laughing, crying, grief, love...it's all in there. Seeing what becomes of young people who marry, lose a child, and try to work through their grief without leaning on each other, only to separate and come together again later in life to find out they never knew the true metal of the other. This book is well written, well paced, and just won't let you put it down.

I enjoyed this read. I liked seeing how Niall and Aisla grew more mature and made decisions to better themselves because of the other. Although many of their decisions in the past could have been cleared up,with a mature conversations, it was easy to see that their youth got in the way. Parts of the end bothered me as I hoped Niall would do more to stay with Aisla. Also, all the wagers and whatnot was not something I enjoyed either. That being said, I still liked this read and would recommend it.

This is the first story in the Tartans and Titans series and I can't wait for more!!! There are so many people that I hope are written about...but...

This story is about Aisla and Niall. They were married quite young but have been separated for six years. Aisla has been away in Paris and has become more "refined" and finds that she enjoys Paris over Scotland. Niall, meanwhile, has been trying to make something of himself with the land that he has.

Aisla needs a divorce to carry on with her life, so she and her good friend Julien go to Scotland so that she and Niall can be divorced, which is basically unheard of. In order for this to take place, Aisla needs to stay in Scotland for a certain period of time while the documents are being searched for and also because Niall tells her that she owes him time, because of the years that she has been away.

There are those who believe that they still belong together and there are those who wish otherwise. There is sabotage, lies and mystery within this story. There is also laughter and love.

I felt that I knew the characters and I was intrigued with who was trying to hurt Niall and his family. I wanted whoever it was to be punished because he had overcame so much.

This was a very quick read for me, I didn't want to put it down. I truly enjoyed the story and am looking forward to more. There are so many more stories that I would love to read. Julien, MaKenna and Ronan. I'm not sure who is coming next, but I am most certainly going to purchase it!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Amalie Howard/Angie Morgan for allowing me to read such a wonderful book. I am looking forward to the next installment!

Have reviewed on Goodreads also.

Sometines Niall needs to be shut up by the only way his woman knows how, “all this time, I thought…” Aisla kissed him, so he wouldn’t have to finish his sentence..." Niall loves to tease his lady, “what do ye expect looking the way ye do, lass? I’m only a man after all.” His voice had gone low and husky. “Dunnae fash, we’ll be doing a different kind of dancing later.” I liked this book, I loved Niall.

I really enjoyed Sweet Home Highlander! I felt like the romance was strong, but happened just a *little* too quickly. I personally feel like Niall should have done a bit more to win Aisla back. Overall a good start the spin-off series. I really hope we get to see more of past characters in books to come. I also REALLY want a Ronan story ASAP!

I loved Aisla and Niall's story!!

Aisla and Niall have been estranged for 6 years. Aisla is ready to get married to another, but first she must obtain a divorce. Niall is willing to give it to her, but she must act as his wife for 6 weeks (1 week for every year they were apart). Of course, being together again bring back all the memories of why they fell in love the first time. Can these two make a go of their second chance?

This is a great start to a new series and I can't wait to see what Howard and Morgan come up with next!
