Being able to review these book samples is an excellent way for me to know what books are coming soon, to pre-order books for my library and to share with my friends and colleagues.

I really enjoy reading every issue of Buzz Books because every time I find many interesting books to add to my TBR. In this edition of Buzz Books 2018 : Young Adult Fall/ Winter I discovered books that I had heard and after reading an excerpt from it I added it immediately to my TBR. I also found books that I didn't know but I look forward to learn more about them and read them.
I also use this publications for inspiration for my blog posts.

This was a great preview of a number of very exciting anticipated releases! I'm most excited about Sadie, The Gilded Wolves, and Girls of Paper and Fire - adding all of them to my TBR.

This is a brilliant way to get a glimpse into some of the upcoming YA releases and I don't know why I haven't read any of the previous Buzz Books for that reason. Something that will be rectified in the future as I loved reading this one!

I kept seeing these books for the past year or so and have never read one, but they are great! This is a great way to find out about new books and get a little deeper with some. It is such a great resource for a librarian! I look forward to the next one!

Once Again I want to say thank you to Publishers Lunch for providing BUZZ BOOKS – this issue contains 16 excerpts from upcoming YA works. It is great to see choices from smaller presses and from writers outside the US (e.g., Barker's THE HOUSE OF ONE THOUSAND EYES or D'Avenia's WHITE AS SILENCE, RED AS SONG – hailed as Italy's The Fault in our Stars). There is plenty of fantasy and sci-fi: Chokshi's THE GILDED WOLVES, or IGNITE THE STARS by Milan, or GIRLS OF PAPER AND FIRE by Ngan, or GRIM LOVELIES by best-selling author Megan Shepherd. Some of the titles (by authors like Mary Downing Hahn, Kate Milford and Gary Schmidt) stretch the definition YA to include middle grade novels.

In addition to the excerpts, there is a more complete list of fall and winter fiction and non-fiction geared to YAs; be sure to look for upcoming titles by Avi, Deb Caletti, Traci Chee, Cassandra Clare, Jessica Cluess, Rachel Cohn, John Feinstein, Ellen Hopkins, Robin LaFevers, Claire Legrand, David Levithan, Patrick Ness, Beth Revis, Brandon Sanderson, Neal Shusterman, Andrew Smith, Sonya Sones, Nic Stone, Rick Yancey, and Ibi Zoboi… plus MANY more – making it very difficult to say which one I am most excited about. The non-fiction choices are fewer, but include a new work by Malala Yousafzai which I know my students will want to request and others I am going to likely purchase: NEVERTHELESS, WE PERSISTED by Amy Klobuchar and WHEN CAN WE GO BACK TO AMERICA by Barry Denenberg. BUZZ BOOKS are a very helpful resource!

As always I loved this preview when it comes out, I look forward to it every quarter. Even though it does horrible things to my TBR pile.

I love that this book gives plenty of excerpts to some of my most anticipated stories. I cannot wait to get a closer look to each of these books. Since these are only excerpts, I cannot fully evaluate them, but I will be ready to once they release!

There are quite a few novels I’m looking forward to. Most notably:

White as Silence, Red as Song by Alessandro D’Avenia

When Elephants Fly by Nancy Richardson Fischer

The Similars by Rebecca Hanover

That’s Not What Happened by Kody Keplinger

Pay Attention, Carter Jones by Gary D. Schmidt

Sadie by Courtney Summers

I love being able to sample a bunch of upcoming books in one collection! Thank you for offering it! My favorites were The Similars, Ignite the Stars, A Spark of White Fire, and Girls of Paper and Fire. I can't wait to read the whole stories. I have already been approved for The Similars so a review for that one will come soon.

This is the first time that I've read through a Buzz Books catalog and it will certainly not be my last. This was a great read that gave sneak peeks to upcoming YA releases this Fall/Winter season. Reading through these excerpts got me excited for some new books, the ones that I am particularly looking forward to are Shadow of the Fox, When Elephants Fly, and That's Not What Happened.

The Buzz Books roundups are super useful to get a glimpse of what's in the YA pipeline. Good representation of voices and genres here.
