As someone who spent their teen and early adulthood, and struggled with some of the negative aspects of performing, I really wish that this book had been in publication 15 years ago. Chock full of practical exercises and advice for dealing with the every day problems of an artists’ life, it’s truly a must for any actor in your life. I was actually inspired by many of the sections now as a WAHM mom and I think this book is really just one of the smartest business books that I’ve ever read. But I think it should be mandatory reading for ANYONE who plans on trying to succeed as an actor. The educational theatre environment doesn’t really prepare you for some of the challenges you will face and this book will definitely help prepare you for real life. Actor for Life is a must buy and read for me!

This book provides encouragement to new actors and good practical exercises to fulfill a successful professional career by overcoming life's obstacles and fear. This book is sublime!
