First off, this book was a bit shorter than I expected it to be. I loved Lola and Luke! The author's writing style wasn't something I'd usually enjoy, but I found myself looking past that because of the plot. From strangers to friends to lovers in denial, the pair goes through an emotional roller coaster right to the top. (I also love Lola's best friend, Frankie, who is wonderful at being supportive and silly).

I tried really hard to like this one, but it really didn’t live up to any of my expectations. The writing was on the juvenile side, and while I don’t expect Shakespeare, I do need to find myself sinking into a book... and this just didn’t capture me.
The story is cute and sweet, but I struggled to care enough about the characters that just kind of fell.., flat.

I seem to have a hit or miss with this author. I didn't love this book but it was a little entertaining. While I did laugh at some scenarious, I found this to be cliche and predictable. They were some occasions that you were like there is no way, really no way but as I said if you want a quick read with no thought process then give this book a chance. .

I just love a good pretend relationship romance! This was a quick, sexy read. Luke and Lola meet when Lola is talked into crashing a high school reunion (not hers!) by her bff to get over a breakup. Luke is at his reunion when he sees a hot girl and approaches her and comes to realize she isn’t who her name tag says she is. Lola being a good girl says she will do anything he wants as long as he doesn’t turn her in. Not that he would and if she would have given it a thought she should know she wouldn’t get in that much trouble, lol. Luke asks Lola to be his fake girlfriend for an upcoming family reunion because his mom and sisters are always trying to set him up with women they know. Lola hits it off with his family and starts to feel really bad about deceiving them because she has no family of her own and really liked his family. After the reunion they will go their separate ways but off course she is invited to another family event and accepts. Luke and Lola spend time together during this so that they can get to know each other and this way when they are quizzed about the other they will have he answers. Well during this get to know you time they actually tell each other things that they hadn’t told others. Luke had told Lola that he had no intention of ever getting married because of what he went through with his dad and he knows that is what she wants for her future. Feelings start to happen for both of them and where Lola wants to tell Luke about hers he is denying he has any for her. A misunderstanding happens and the essentially break up and alike realizes what a dummy he was and needs to stage a big gestures if he has any hopes of getting Lola back.
I really liked Lola and Luke from page one. I am hoping that each of Luke three sisters (triplets!) get their story.

I have voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this title given to me via NetGalley. In this book we get to meet Lola McBride and Luke Erickson and I just loved this story. I loved getting to see where Lola and Luke end up and their journey to the end. This book was such an easy read and I highly recommend this title you will not be disappointed.

A light fake romance between two likable people with a fun meet-cute but ultimately was weighed down by unoriginal daddy issues and insecurities. Although the Golden Girls mentions were adorable, they weren't enough to save the flat, predictable story.

Having been dumped by her boyfriend, librarian Lola somehow finds herself crashing a 10-year high school reunion with her Golden Girls-obsessed roommate, Frankie. Luke catches Lola and gently blackmails her into pretending to be his girlfriend at his family reunion to throw off his pushy sisters. This was a fun start but once Luke and Lola started dancing around each other, Luke's extreme daddy issues and Lola's abandonment issues completely dragged the story down.

Luke insists that he's completely against relationships because his father left his family when Luke was a young child. Having lost her parents, Lola is lonely for a family of her own and finds herself falling not just for Luke but his family, too. The problem is that for most of the book, Luke constantly declares that he will never be in a relationship but chases after Lola anyway, all while feeling sorry for himself. Meanwhile, his mom and sisters all seem to be pretty well-adjusted despite his dad's abandonment, making Luke seem an even bigger pouting man-child.

This book was a fun read. I liked the characters and the story. Although I knew where the storyline would lead, it was a fun and funny trip to the end. It is a sweet story for when you need a HEA and you want to chuckle along the way.

While at the reunion, Lola met Luke Erickson, who discovers that she's crashed the party and convinces the sexy and shy librarian to attend an upcoming event as his girlfriend.

Short but funny, sweet, hot amazing love story and don't forget the Golden Girls. I loved the story and how Lola and Luke met. Loved both of them, they are both great characters, developed and funny, interesting and both with mommy/daddy issues, that could mess their relationship. This type of story I loved to read, with heart and soul and all the funny, witty dialogues, the romantic end and hot action between the sheets. Recommended!
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly.

Her Super Secret Rebound Boyfriend is a cute story filled with laughs, crazy family, even crazier friends, and a surprise romance. This is the first book by Kerri Carpenter for me and I have to say it was sweet and enjoyable.

Lola has just been dumped and we have all been there at some point. Her best friend and the help of the Golden Girls, they crash a high school reunion that is not theirs. Being outside her comfort zone, Lola runs into Luke. He realizes she's who she says she is and when the jig is up they exchange numbers in order for Lola to pose as his fake girlfriend to get out of trouble with his family.

IT was cute. Luke is a relationship phobe but he has his reasons. What starts as a chance meeting, they slowly turn to more. however the lies and the secrets and of course the biggest thing.... Lukes aversion to relationships.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review. Lola is just coming out of a bad break up that shattered her self confidence. Her best friend Frankie, who gets all her life wisdom from the Golden Girls, talks her into crashing a class reunion. Frankie assures her the class was big enough no one will even notice them. Lola crashes into Luke instead. He realizes after talking to her that she isn't who she claims. Lola is worried about getting in trouble so agrees to go to Luke's family reunion as his fake girlfriend in exchange for his silence. Having no family of her own Lola quickly falls in love with Luke's. One date and done is all it is supposed to be, but they have to spend the week before getting to know each other.

This is a fun, easy read. You know from the beginning you will get your happily ever after and enjoy watching Luke and Lola figure it out. I liked Frankie and that she isn't afraid to push Lola a little bit to help her find happy. Luke's sister are great and would be fun to read their stories. If you are looking for a nice, light and happy read I recommend Her Super Secret Rebound Boyfriend.

This book has a cute premise, and who doesn't love a hot nerdy librarian lady? I'm also a bit of a sucker for the pretend-relationship trope, but it has to be done in a believable way that doesn't require TOO MUCH suspension of disbelief. This one was done passably well - not the most stellar example I've ever seen, but definitely not the worst either.

The writing style on this reads like it's somebody's first stab at writing fan-fiction. Very clichéd and you can see what's coming next from a mile away. That being said, it is a short, cute, light read. I'm kind of persnickety and read so much that I expect a certain level of ... finesse, for lack of a better word, in the writing of the books I read, and this just doesn't have it. If you're looking for an easy, sparkly read and don't mind some tired clichés and forced drama (how many times does she need to assure the reader and the other characters that lying is never good, "trust me"?) then give this book a whirl.

Lola and Luke meet while she's crashing his 10 year high school reunion with her best friend. It cracked me up that Frankie, the aforementioned best friend, felt like that was the best place for Lola to get out and get over her ex. Of course, if it worked for the Golden Girls, why not?

I really liked Lola and Luke together. They both have struggles and hurt tied to family issues in their past, and it did feel realistic. The resolution did feel just a tad fast, but the plot was cute.

Their friends and Luke's family were funny too. I hope there are more books to come with some of their stories.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

If you are looking for a sweet, heart-touching, lighthearted, and hot romance then this book is perfect for you. It's such a great story, written in a way that it will keep you interested from the very beginning until the end. Also I loved all the characters; Lola, Luke, as well as all the side characters are amazing. I really enjoyed this cute story which made me laugh at times and sigh at others.

Lola's boyfriend broke up with her and she is a mess. So, to cheer her up her roommate decides to crash a high school reunion... One thing led to the other and Lola finds herself agreeing to become someone's pretend girlfriend. What seems like a good idea and the time soon turns into something she will live to regret...

Luke finds Lola attractive. She is such a gorgeous woman and has no idea about it. While talking to her he suddenly comes up with this insane idea... Why not ask her to be his pretend girlfriend? That way he can get rid of his family's constant pestering and also will get to spend more time with her. However, he fears that he might end up biting more than he could chew....

I really enjoyed reading Lola and Luke's story. They've perfect chemistry and their story is quite romantic. It was a quick read for me. I'd definitely recommend this book to romance lovers.

This was a very cute and enjoyable story that takes a standard romantic plot of a couple pretending to be a couple for some rather stupid reason and then finding that they should be a true couple. In this novel, the couple are a shy librarian, Lola, who is convinced by her best friend to crash a high school reunion. There she’s caught out by Luke who asks her to pretend to be his girlfriend for his family reunion so he can avoid the nagging by his mom and triplet sisters. Lola, who has no family left, is entranced by Luke’s fun and loving family. You will be too.

The dialogue was enjoyable and they turn out to be a great couple together. You’ll love Lola’s friend Frankie, who maintains that the best advice comes from TV’s “Golden Girls.”

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

Luke’s family is after him to have a date at the upcoming family reunion, and he finds the perfect solution to getting his family off his back when he catches Lola gatecrashing his 10 year school reunion. In exchange for keeping her secret he asks her to attend his family reunion as his pretend girlfriend. But things start getting complicated when real feelings come to play into this pretend relation.
I enjoyed every minute of reading this book. It made me smile and laugh. The characters primary and secondary are super cute. I hope there is going to be Winnie and Oliver’s story. Would love to read it.

I really enjoyed Lola and Luke. Lola is struggling after a recent breakup. Luke is struggling to get his family to get off his back about finding someone. Having their fake relationship seems like the best plan. It works for awhile, but as you can imagine things don't stay that way forever. Luke really puts his foot in his mouth, but Lola is strong and fights for what she wants. I appreciated all the landmarks around DC, it's one of my favorite places and I loved that I could have such a clear picture in my head.
