A romantic, adorable story set in the country music scene, and a great summer romance read for the beach!  Clay is an experienced star with rough edges when Annie bursts on the scene, but carrying a heavy burden of her parents background in the industry.  As their relationship develops it hits highs and lows as they navigate their pasts and futures.  Great story and great author.  Pick it up for a great summer read!

Annie Mathers is the daughter of Country Royalty who has a tragic story. Clay Coolidge is Country’s current bad boy who is fighting against his own demons. When Clay gets in trouble with the label for another out of control night they give him the option of getting Annie and her band to be his opening act or no tour. Clay and Annie are now together on the summer's hottest tour. As the temperatures and concert numbers rise from city to city, so does the tension between Clay and Annie.

Annie doesn’t want to be her Mother and Clay doesn’t want to keep spiraling out of control. Can they help each other or will they crash and burn? The characters are all well rounded and well written. I want to read more about them all!! I would love for another book with these characters and I would definitely listen to a cd with the songs in the book!!

A good story who made my heart emotional and happy

It is not a bad good. Authors debut novel and I will be looking out for more from this author. I love the cover. The characters are funny and likable. I already knew I was going to like it because I like country music. This is a nice YA book. It was cute.

Erin Hahn, you have a ridiculous gift. You'd Be Mine is well written with lots of heart.

Of course, I'm in awe of these mature teenagers, just as I'd be in awe of their musical gifts and good looks in real life, to the point I have a hard time believing they could be teenagers. Erin Hahn could just easily make this New Adult and up the age on these characters and it would feel more authentic. In fact, I really wish I could hear how Erin Hahn hears these characters when they sing and play their music.

I will admit I'm not a huge country music fan but I know my fair share of country music bands and songs. This books revolves around country music. When Annie was younger her famous country music parents killed themselves because of their drug addiction. Annie stayed out of country scene for fear of turning into them. Then you have Clay who blew up very fast as the new hot country singer. Together these two unlikely singers go on a summer tour. They learn about themselves and each other on the tour. They will grow but they also fall hard. They will find a way to their dreams. 

I really enjoyed how the author wrote this novel in the POV's of Annie and Clay. I feel like most YA novels nowadays just have one POV. I loved hearing Clay's voice and Annie's. Both characters have a lot of history and problems, which makes them more relatable. 

If you are looking for cute summer romance novel with a complex background, pick this one up. I can't wait to see what the author comes up with next.

This is such a cute summer read that will make you want to drive around singing with the windows down, attend concerts and fall in love.  

Clay is the bad boy country star who is known for his antics and is always in trouble.  
Annie is a country music legacy, who along with her cousin and best friend, are recruited to be headliners for Clay's tour and to basically help his image. 
They have both experienced tragedies in their lives that they believe they have dealt with "just fine" but are both still grieving and that's just the surface of their connection.  

It's a slower burn romance and you will be living for every moment of it.  The songs incorporated are amazing and I would love to see and hear them become real radio play.  A soundtrack would be a great fit for this book!  Classics like Johnny & June Cash and Dolly Parton will never go out of style.  

If the synopsis and beautiful cover don't draw you in to this debut from Erin Hahn you'll regret it.  She will definitely be an auto buy YA Contemporary author to me from now on.  If you like Sarah Dessen, Kasie West and Emma Mills you NEED to pick this up.

This book was a total surprise. I'm not much of a fan of romance or country music so this book had a few things going against it to start with but I came to love this book. 
I feel like this story had so much heart in all aspects; characters, plot, writing, which made for a really enjoyable read. 
My favourite thing about this was probably the characters and their journey throughout, especially Clay. I enjoyed the romance and how the two character's realised that they were bad for each other and weren't in the best place to be starting anything serious, this also called for a decent amount of angst which was great. 
My only complaint about the romance is, I wish it had been more developed to start with, I felt like they were falling for each other way to quick. 
All the characters were great and I'm glad the side characters were pretty well developed because I came to love them all. 
Highly recommend.

You'd Be Mine was absolutely adorable and had me hooked from the first page. I didn't expect to love it so much and have already preordered a physical copy. It was a fantastic read!

A cute contemporary story but a bit bland for me. I liked both of the main characters but couldn't really connect to them and ultimately didn't really care about them or their relationship. However, I think any reader who enjoys contemporary and romance books will enjoy this, it just wasn't for me.

As a fan of Dallas Coryell’s “Melody’s Key”, I really looked forward to reading this and it didn’t disappoint.

The story is set in the world of country music and follows two singers, one a teen sensation and the other a newcomer (who’s not so new to the industry). 

This book was so charming and I really enjoyed reading it! I expected it to be yet another cheesy romance novel but it ended up being so much more. It tackled so many difficult issues and delved into what fame really looks like – all the good, bad and ugly parts of it. 

I loved the writing and the characters were all likeable. I also loved the songs that the author added to give this story more life. I feel like this could totally be a movie someday. 

If you like YA novels that have a little bit of everything – drama, romance, tragedy and fun – then this book’s definitely for you. Congratulations to Erin Hahn on such a great debut novel!

Told from the perspective of the two protagonists (Clay & Annie), You’d Be Mine is a country music love story about two young people who are broken and falling for each other, despite their best efforts not to. Clay Coolidge is country music’s favorite young bad boy. Annie Mather’s is the daughter to two deceased and tragic legendary country music icons who, after years of intentionally staying out of the public, is making a name for her self as a talented singer-songwriter. 

Annie is debuting as the opening act to Clay’s summer tour. She is an incredibly talented and passionate musician afraid to make her parents mistakes both personally and professionally, which means not falling for Clay, who is the stereotypical self-destructive industry cliche

The story is told from the perspective of the two protagonists. Clay, who has low self worth and resorts to substance abuse after the death of his brother and grandfather, and Annie who deeply fears ending up like her parents, whose success and love contributed to their demise. These deep traumas and brokenness keep them at arms length from each other in spite of “chemistry”. 

This book is a love story about two teenager country music super stars in the making with many demons.

The book was a bit boring. As someone who loved the early seasons of the TV series Nashville, I found this book to be familiar but not intriguing. Everything felt like a cliche or caricature of some southern or country music narrative. The book was okay, but I did not enjoy it there was something shallow and lacking about the characterization and plot progression.

You'd Be Mine was a YA romance set in the country music world, following two protagonists who are dealing with their own demons while learning to be vulnerable in love. Going in, I wasn't expecting this level of depth-- this story is much heavier than I originally was led to believe. That being said, I really appreciated all of the difficult subjects (addiction, death of a loved one, the dark parts of fame) this book tackled. 
Both our main characters are not without their flaws, but I think that's what kept me reading about them. I LOVED Annie, in particular. The songs and all the country music talk were a really wonderful touch, too-- as a musician, that was what drew me to You'd Be Mine in the first place, and it definitely delivered. 

Overall, if you're looking for a YA contemporary with slightly older characters that falls a bit on the heavy side, I highly recommend checking out You'd Be Mine!

Annie and Clay love music. She is a good girl and he is a Bad boy. They tour together trying to save his image and to start Annie's carreer.
They fall in love but Their relationship is complicated, cause they both have a Hard past, specially Clay. And thats why he behaves erratically, cause he has pain inside and instead of talk, he drinks and fight.
I didnt love The MC to be honest. I felt they were plain.
I did like The music and how they comunicate through it. They were good at making music and that was great.
The secondary characters were great Too. They tried to help The MC and had Their own stories.
I would have love a more deep story, but it was good.

Young love is always great, add some Johnny and June Cash, a spunky girl and a jilted boy to the mix and you have a great romance! For anyone who reads You’d Be Mine, I highly recommend - especially if you don’t know and Johnny & June Cash songs - to keep your phone near by so you can play the many songs mentioned while reading this book. It will not only help you to understand the story on a deeper level, but it will also set the mood, and make you a Johnny & June fan! (I also recommend listening to Heidi Newfield’s song Johnny and June for any song downtime while reading. It, too, will set the mood! 😉)

But You’d Be Mine isn’t just a country music teen romance, it also deals with loss, death, and destruction, drug addiction, alcoholism, and (somewhat surprising) God. It teaches you to work hard, fight for what you believe in, and reminds you just how important family and belief is, all while making your heart ache for Clay and Annie.

Looking for a swoony read? Then You’d Be Mind is totally the book for you this week! I 100% fell in love with Clay and Annie, their music and their story, and I think you will, too!

Everyone knows Clay Coolidge. He’s a popular country music star and he’s a bad boy who has gotten in too much trouble with his label. The solution? Convince Annie Mathers, the daughter of two very famous (and very dead) music stars, to sign with the label and tour with him. What could go wrong?

Firstly, it’s a very cute premise. Two up-and-coming stars go on tour together and fall in love. But until Chapter 11, I was pretty concerned that the book was going to gloss over the dark parts of Annie and Clay’s tragic pasts and just… subtly hint at them again and again. I was actually really glad when I was proved wrong. I didn’t really buy the romance until Chapter 11 either, but after that I really liked how well the author conveyed the emotion of it and I felt engaged.

Both Annie and Clay have a lot of issues but they’re both genuinely good people doing what they think they need to to survive. And, as the plot shows us, that can be very different depending on the person and can be either very good or very bad. 

Until the last few chapters of the book, I’d say Annie’s chapters did show a lot more transparency and depth than Clay’s. Annie was definitely a more relatable character, but I warmed to Clay by the end.

Well-written and an enjoyable read. Would recommend.

I had a difficult time getting interested in this story and ended up abandoning it pretty early on. I don't think the story was uninteresting in general, it just didn't captivate my attention.

You'd Be Mine by Erin Hahn A new to me author. As much as I enjoyed the storyline of the book. I only thought it was a okay book for me. Maybe it was just my mood.

I was browsing through Net-Galley and chanced upon this book... and while YA isn't really my kind of jam, the blurb lured me in and requested to read it... and thank goodness for the publisher to grant me the opportunity to read it and to get to know the talented— Erin Hahn.

This is a country rockstar romance, that tells how Annie Mathers and Clay Coolidge came to be...  She is America's country music sweetheart and he is country music's bad boy.

Their road to  forever is definitely not an easy one because both have baggage the size of Texas... this is not your typical cute and lovey-dovey clichéd YA... it's angsty and its emotional. It touches on sensitive topics such as suicide, PTSD, premarital sex, alcoholism and prescription drug addiction. It will also teach you about acceptance, resilience and perseverance. 

Like I said, it's not my usual but I enjoyed it nonetheless... Even though both characters were rockstars they were still relatable... it was a slow burn but I keep forgetting that it's YA, lol. I wish there was another epilogue, like way into the future... I'm a sucker for those. I'm a romantic sap what can I say? 

Although the story is not the same, it kinda gave me a wee bit Abbi Glines' Seabreeze Series feels... or Rachel Van Dyken's Seaside Series feels... if you're a fan of those, then this is the book to pick up next.

Enjoyable YA debut. This story takes us behind the scenes of the country music stage. Clay and Annie are a couple of young, new/new-ish country stars who need each other for different reasons...Annie is a breakout new YouTube star and daughter of a country music legend, and Clay is country music’s hottest young star who needs a bit of an image change...and the more they get to know one another, the more they realize they need each other...for reasons other than why they came together in the first place. 
I enjoyed their story...it was one of love, loss, redemption, and new beginnings. I’ll definitely check out books from this author in the future!
