I would like to thank Jane Corry and Netgalley for this opportunity to read a short book.

This is told from both sisters perspectives. Who is telling the truth? Who is lying? Can both sisters be as cruel as they are being led to believe or are they sweet and innocent like they are portraying?

You will have to read The Killing Type and see who is a killer, if any of them are?????

This is a very short story but it has you gripped with its secrets and lies . It still had enough plots and characters to keep my interest going.

An interesting quick read, I would have liked more. I felt like I left this book knowing nothing about the characters so felt a bit let down. I would have liked more, I get it is more a short story but it seems to me that it is just the middle of a story.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to review this book and to be an early reader via NetGalley! However, I will not be writing a review for this title at this time, as my reading preferences have since changed somewhat. A dark physiological thriller about two sisters who aren't close...but then a phone call happens.... a dramatic story full of twists and turns...

This was a great short story.  Even though there are only 50 pages, the author packs a punch.  There are several twists that will shock you and make this a pleasure to read.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

A fun and fast paced short story about two sisters, who just don't seem the killing type?

It's a quick and easy read with a few twists thrown in. I found the fact that there was such big gaps in the story line annoying as i couldn't connect with the characters

Overall it kind of does what it says on the tin

This is a short story from one of my favourite's authors. I absolutely love Jane Corry's works and love all of her books.

It was nice to read a short story by her.

I read it in one sitting and the only downside to the book is that it was not a long book at all!

It was a great story and I really enjoyed it!

This is a short story about two sisters Danielle and Susie, Danielle thinks her sisters husband Simon is trying to kill her and tries to discuss it with her sister.

A few things have happened including Danielle’s brakes being tampered with and she crashes the car, she goes to talk to Susie but she doesn’t believe her and tells the police that her sister is a drama queen and the police close the complaint down.

Then one of the sisters is charged with murder, who and why?

It might be short but it packs a punch for sure! Loved it 5 stars!!

Enjoyed this little story! I can easily see this as a full length novel and I kind of wish it was. I really liked the concept of it and I feel that this can really go deep into the characters and their complexities. It was good, but I felt since it was so short it just went too fast and I didn't get the chance to care about the characters or trying to figure anything out.

This is an extremely short story which took me about 10 minutes to read

The plot is excellent and I really think this could have been turned into a full blown novel

I love Jane Corry but I am really not a lover of novellas and now I understand why because they always leave me wanting more

You get a good idea from this though about what type of writer Jane is and she really is excellent

Short and sweet, this is a 50 page story following two sisters. One sister claims that her husband is trying to murder her, but the other says that he is not the killing type...who should we believe?

A very quick story that is easy to read. I love Jane Corry's writing style and hope that this will become a full length novel with perhaps some further twists down the line. I was gripped from the first page, and I loved both the twists (although I saw one coming). Another author to watch out for.

I really liked how short but gripping this novel was. Started off lackluster but ending up being quite enjoyable of sorts. A perfect thrilling albeit short read

A punchy short story that will keep you gripped with its secrets and lies

Danielle and Susie are sisters,!only 14 months separate them but they are not close and are like chalk and cheese.

Danielle asks to meet her sister regarding her husband Simon, who she thinks is trying to kill her. After several accidents and a car crash as her brakes were tampered with, she turns to Susie for help. Unfortunately Susie tells the police that her sister is melodramatic and she does not believe her. The case is closed.

A few months later after a surprising marriage, Susie is in court being charged with murder!!

A great twist at the end. I thoroughly enjoyed this short but sweet book. It certainly makes me wonder what would I do to protect my family and who when pushed is the killing type?

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy in exchange for a review.

I finished this novella before I had even realised it! It was enthralling from the start wondering what was happening with Danielle, Susie, her sister and Simon, Danielle’s husband. The next twenty minutes of my life flew.

When Danielle thinks Simon is trying to kill her and Susie doesn’t believe her, well, you know the fallout will never be good.

I would love to have read this as a full novel rather than a snappy novella as the premise was intriguing and would be so fascinating in a full feature but I did thoroughly enjoy this bitesize version. Plus that ending! It almost makes you question if Ms Corry was writing some truth in this story.

This novella has enticed me to check out Ms Corry’s other book and will be increasing my ever growing TBR list! In fact, I have the Dead Ex to read!!

Twists and turn aplenty here, but I found this too short to be satisfying.

Thank you NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me to read a copy of this book.

I adored this novella! My only complaint was that it wasn't a full-length novel. The concept was fun, well thought out, and a roller coaster to read. The tension between the sister's was believable, and I even found myself believing the accusations that both of them made. I was completely caught off guard by the ending - I mean seriously, who doesn't love a well read detective? The writing was engaging and easy to follow, and the pacing was intense but not overwhelming. This is a quick, fun read with just enough mystery and thrill to wet your whistle and leave you wanting more.
