If you enjoy SWAT/military romance, then I recommend this book. It was a good read with not too much detail on the military aspect, but just enough to keep it interesting. The romance flowed really well, and this book was an easy fast read. I would recommend it to others.

Thank you Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I thought this novel was pretty interesting. The fact that a human can turn into a wolf after a dramatic situation is a different spin to the shifter genre. I liked Selene she had a lot of spunky and heart. Brooks was also a very noble and charming wolf definitely the hero rescuing damsels in distress type.
All in all, a decent novel with the potential to be mind blowing. I'll wait to see what other stories comes out of this series.

I love, love, love Jayden. This novel is full of action and romance. Paige makes sure you don’t have to read all the books in the series to understand what’s happening with this one. If you love Alpha werewolves who happen to be cops then this is book for you!

The werewolves from the Dallas SWAT team are back, with Jayden Brooks in the spotlight this time. The story starts, as usual, showing us the circumstances that led to his change into a werewolf. Brooks meets his soulmate Selena Rosa in a very intense hostage situation. And of course, the other hunky werewolves are back to deal with the ever-present danger of the hunters.

I have really enjoyed reading this series so far, and this book is no exception. The romance between Brooks and Selena was fun and exciting. I like that they dealt with their issues like mature adults. Selena’s transformation was also interesting and through that the reader learns a lot more about the werewolves. Zane played a pretty important role and I enjoyed following his part of the story.

Overall this is a good read and I would definitely recommend the entire series to fans of paranormal romance.

I have also posted a review on Goodreads.

I have enjoyed all the books in the SWAT series especially this one. Jayden is an alpha werewolf who is part of a pack of other alphas who work hard to keep the streets safe as police officers. Not only do they have to fight criminals but there are "hunters" out there who want to kill them. Jayden meets Selena, his future mate, before she becomes a werewolf after she experiences a traumatic event. It's a lot to deal with and there are setbacks along the way but true love prevails in this exciting paranormal romance.

I like paranormal stories a lot, and I'm always excited to read a new one.
This one disappointed me a little. It felt like it dragged at times, and I found myself skipping quite a few pages, which is not normal for me.
I have read some of the others from this series and I enjoyed them, so I'm not sure why this one didn't capture me as well as the others.
I finished it, and I didn't hate it, but it won't be one that I'll read again.
Thanks.x

Strap yourself in for a fact paced read filled with action, adventure and romance. Werewolf SWAT Officer Jayden Brooks is smoking hot! Selena Rosa teaches at a high school in a bad part of town. She is caring and committed to her students. The gangs have stolen her family she will be damned if she gives up on her students. This inevitably leads to Selena and Jayden meeting and it is pure adrenaline after that. A terrific addition to the series.

Since it was almost a year since Paige Tyler had released a new SWAT book, I was nearly starving after Wolf Hunger. But finally, yay, Wolf Rising came on Netgalley. After Max, we now follow Jayden Brooks, who rescues high school teacher Selena from a shoot out at her school.
After the rescue, he can't get Selena and her scent out of his mind. But strangely, he notices her scent is changing... She can't be The One, now can she? Of course, Max, Landon and all the other hunky guys offer Brooks a lot of advice (NOT) and they finally get to tease Brooks.
Selena doesn't understands what is happening to her. After she nearly got shot at her high school by on of her students, she feels off. She is angry and she has black outs. Fortunately officer Brooks is sticking around to help her. And he seems to understand what she is going through.
When Selena shows signs of becoming a werewolf, Gage orders Brooks to stay close to Selena and to help her during her change. What nobody realizes however, is that Selena is changing into an omega werewolf: a violent and unstable werewolf. With the attraction brewing between Brooks and Selena: is Brooks able to help Selena contain her violent traits? Or does she has to be put down as a rabbit dog? Find out for yourself in yet another hot part of the SWAT series. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

A dramatic, werewolf shifter romance. Selena was the type of female lead character that I prefer. No wimpy, cowering female in this story, she kicks ass, even when she doesn't know how she's able to do so. I haven't read this whole series, but I will be doing so now.

I just absolutely loved this book, it was full of suspense, romance and action. Jayden and Selena were just made for one another. I loved the chemistry between them. Selena was so strong and independent and Jayden was sexy, strong, and such an alpha male. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Wolf Rising, by Paige Tyler is a captivating paranormal suspense romance and part of the entertaining SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team book series.

Due to a tragic incident on the job, Jayden Brooks almost died, yet he became a werewolf instead. Now, he's living in Texas and working as a SWAT officer, along with fellow werewolf shifters and pack mates.

Along with the SWAT team, Jayden rescues a teacher and her students during a hostage situation, due to a former student threatening the class with a gun. Selena Rosa is a high school teacher striving to save her students from gang life, despite this recent horrifying situation. Despite the drama surrounding their first meeting, Jayden and Selena are attracted to each other. As the story unfolds, they are dealing with dangerous situations, while figuring out their new relationship and a few surprises along the way.

Since it's the eighth book in the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series, it's recommended to start with the first book to meet all the secondary characters. However, each book is a standalone, so it's not necessary to read the books in order.

Wolf Rising is geared towards those who enjoy reading paranormal action-suspense romances, particularly stories involving military alpha werewolves.

Strong romantic suspense! Boy did that alpha know how to give his girl exactly what she needed to face life altering circumstances, which made this read even more sweet and endearing. Wolf Rising seemed to carry multiple plot directions creating a transitioning storyline but Tyler still hooked us into her tale, the couple and the suspense to come.

I received this ARC copy of Wolf Rising from SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca. This is my honest and voluntary review. Wolf Rising is set for publication October 30, 2018.

Loved it! But I have not read any thing written by Paige Tyler that I didn't love. This was a great story, waiting on the next one in this series! I voluntarily read and reviewed and advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved this book. From the beginning when a werewolf was created to the end that leads to investigations in the future.... More books to come? Hope so!
If you've read the series then this addition will clarify and explain some traits of the team. If you haven't read any of the others this will give you some good information. But, seriously, you should read the others.

While Im appreciate the back stories of both characters, this book was very slow. There was quite a bit of filler here for the action part of the story. I would rather would have learned why some people become wolves. Nice buildup to the love story between Jaden and Selena but the physical desciptions were one dimensional.

Action and attraction.

What I love about paranormal romance is the strong bonding between mates. Paige Tyler delivers that powerful love along with some very hot, sensual sex scenes.

Along with the smoking hot sex comes lots of action. There’s always trouble in the neighborhood with those SWAT boys. Paige put together a great suspenseful story about gangs, drugs and hunters.

What I loved about how this story was put together was the time invested in Jayden and Selena getting to know each other. There may have been the mate insta-love factor, but it didn’t take away the connection between Jayden and Selena.

The only con was the page fillers. A little bit of repetitiveness that I could have done without.

All in all, it was a fantastic suspense, romance story. A Paige turner that I couldn’t put down!

In this episode of the SWAT series, Officer Jayden Brooks finds The One when he rescues a teacher from a gangbanger who has entered her classroom to recruit one of her students for the gang. Selena Rosa has grown up around gangs. They cost her her parents and older brother. There is no way she's going to let them claim one of her students.

Selena has some weird effects after she's rescued. Her blood pressure is soaring as is her heartbeat. She's running a fever. However, she also feels the best she's ever felt in her life. After she gets out of the hospital, she wants to find Jayden and thank him.

Jayden is intrigued by Selena but couldn't immediately follow up because the SWAT team is busy with a police chief who is interested in photo ops that will help his campaign for mayor, a gang of hunters who has come to town and threatened a number of members of the team, a new gang leader who is consolidating all the local gangs, and a new drug in energy drinks that is causing users to OD.

What Selena doesn't know, and what Jayden doesn't know how to tell her, is that the trauma related to her classroom invasion has triggered her genetic change to werewolf. What neither understands is why the change is happening so fast. It usually takes two or three weeks before changes are visible. Selena's is taking only three days.

Selena and Jayden's romance is a whirlwind. There immediate attraction leads to lots of spicy love scenes. But their romance is almost derailed by Selena's changing since she is confused and panicking about what is happening to her.

Their romance deepens as the multiple story lines converge. This was a fast-paced, sexy romantic suspense novel that will be devoured by those who have been reading the series. New readers can pop in here too because, while some background would be nice, the story is tightly focused on Jayden and Selena's relationship.

Wolf Rising by Paige Tyler is the next installment of her Swat books. They are a team of werewolves who are police officers on a swat team. Jayden doesn’t believe there is only one person know as the one for a werewolf till he saves Selena. When Jayden is called to save a teacher from a gangbanger he is mesmerized by Selena. Who is turning into a werewolf herself who can’t understand what’s going on in her life. She’s attracted to the Police officer who save her. Jayden can’t help his feelings and knows Selena is the one. Great addition to the series! Action, adventure, romance. Can’t wait for more from this great author!

Jayden Brooks is a member of the Dallas SWAT team/werewolf pack. He saves the life of teacher Selena Rosa during a gang-related school shooting. Even though Selena is tough, the trauma is enough to trigger her change into a werewolf--a special kind of werewolf. And she happens to be The One for Jayden. They're perfect for each other--until Jayden has to tell Selena that she's turning into a werewolf.

In the meantime, there is a new boss in the gangs who is increasing the distribution of fentanyl.

On top of it all, Chief Curtis is playing politics.

Can Jayden and Selena navigate the twists and turns of events while Selena learns to deal with her werewolf side?
***
Selena thinks Jayden is the perfect guy, and he pretty much is. He's sexy, protective, humorous, and romantic. He's easy to fall in love with. Selena is a tough heroine even before she becomes a werewolf. Afterwards, she's a force to be reckoned with.

This is a fast-paced romantic suspense that will have you turning the pages well into the night.
