This graphic novel was hard to rate. So I'll leave a review and see what star number I come up with.
This caught my attention because Charlaine Harris has some great supernatural ideas. I have also followed Christopher Golden since his Buffy the Vampire Slayer days so I knew he could help curve some of Harris' pitfalls. The two come up with a clever story.
Calexa wakes up in a cemetery with no memory of what happened to her or who she is. She makes a home in the cemetery and makes some local friends. But it seems she also has a special talent of seeing ghost. Now I came in during the third entry in this trilogy. I don't know for sure if she saw ghosts before she woke up alone but I am kind of assuming she didn't. Other than that detail, the third entry gave me enough information to understand most of what had come before.
I enjoyed the art and most of the characters. I didn't like the love interested; he seemed kind of bland. (It's impossible I missed his character development in earlier entries). I was also glad to see the main character wasn't some wonderful beauty like Harris likes: Calexa looks like someone you would meet on the street (in comic form at least lol). This helped focus more on the character and her struggle.
My biggest disappointment was that the story is only half the size of the book. The second half is the original script for the story you just read. I skipped it; I had just read the story in comic form.
I'm gonna give this a 3.5 I'm still wavering a little. It just needed an extra little push to make it great. But I can't put my finger on what that is (maybe I missed in in the earlier two stories lol).

Calexa the ghost of dunhill cemetery has no memory but someone knows the truth as people are looking for her. This was the 3rd instalment in this comic book series. The artwork is very good in this fast paced thrilling instalment. I would recommend to see the first 2 instalments first. I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

After enjoying the first two, I was happy to see that this was available for early review. I really enjoyed this installment, and the artwork remains lovely and detailed. My only criticism may be that it felt a little bit rushed in its conclusion. Overall, a great graphic novel.

We finally reach the end of this comic in 3 issues that has been one of my favorite from the beginning. Calexa finds out what happened to her and gets her happy ending, which was the more important thing in my opinion.

THANKS NETGALLEY FOR THE PREVIEW!

Charlaine Harris Cemetery Girl Book Three: Haunted continues Calexa's quest to figure out who she is. Still living in the cemetery and feeding the rumor of the ghost, Calexa is being hunted by a private eye who wants to take her home. Bad guys jump in to kidnap Calexa and her memories start flooding back while her abilities to communicate with the dead help to save her life. The mystery of who wants her dead and who she really is comes to a head in the action packed, page turner. Excellent color work and nicely drawn art bring the story to life for the reader. The volume ends with a bonus script for the whole story. A nicely done mystery with the touch of the paranormal for a great read. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy from Netgalley.

I have enjoyed the previous installments of this series, but felt this conclusion was too rushed, and things ended too neatly. The page count is also deceptive, the second half is a script for the book which is just exactly what you read without the art.
Our main character, Calexa starts remembering who she is when she is attacked again. Quickly she figures out why, and what happened to her being in the cemetery. It was way too neat for my tastes. There are two innocent people who die, and then are able to help her. She is not sure if after this ordeal is over her ability will remain.
I wish there was more to the story as Calexa adjusts to life knowing who she is. Still, if you've read the previous two might as well finish up! Just bittersweet that this is it for Calexa.

This book brings the trilogy to an exciting finish! Calexa Rose Dunhill doesnt know her real name or who she really is. All she knows is that people have tried to kill her. She was left for dead in the cemetry where she now lives but someone is searching for her. Calexa is too frightened to find out why people are hunting for her and the secrets of her past remain locked away in her memory.

Calexa hopes that with support of her new friends she will be able to put the missing pieces of her life together but she has secrets that she cant even reveal to them. Calexa sees dead people! (I have always wanted to use that phrase). She can talk with people who have died near her and this time as she battles with ghosts from the past the ghosts of the present may save her life.

I picked this book up from Netgalley because I love comics and I enjoy Charlaine Harris, so I knew this would be good. I hadnt read the first two volumes but that didnt stop me from enjoying this final book. It was fast paced and I picked up the main thrust of the story very quickly. The story brings together mystery, and the paranormal and binds them together with a thrilling edge. The artwork was good with just enough prose to enjoy the story. I dont like wordy graphic novels and in this book the balance between words and art is just right.

I think fans of the authors will really enjoy this trilogy and I intend to start from the beginning and read the books in order so that I can fully enjoy the twists, turns and thrills.

I did not notice that this was a graphic novel, I just saw Charlaine Harris as the author and grabbed it. I love her books. This is the third book in this series and that did make it hard to follow the story line. The artwork was beautiful and I liked the main character. Will have to read the first two in order to get the full story

An interesting graphic novel about a family and a local cemetery. Great artwork and coloring work here too.

It's been a while since I've read a graphic novel and I really enjoyed getting sucked into this one . The concept of this mysterious young woman with an unusual gift for connecting with the dead actually took a while to surface in this episode. What we primarily get is Calexa still in the dark about her identity but determined to make a life away from the cemetery. She knows there's someone suspicious in town asking about a missing girl but is quite unaware of just how instrumental to her getting answers about her past he is.
I liked Calexa and she's certainly trying hard to move on and live. She might not trust easily but becomes to realise that there are people out there who really do want to help. I won't ruin the story but yes there a slight supernatural element and happily a resolution.
The animation was bright and colourful and it was easy to understand what was happening. I enjoyed the succinct dialogue and found it easy to follow. Not my usual reading material admittedly but a story with suspense, action and even a wee bit of humour.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

The Ghost of Dunhill Cemetery is back in the final installment of The Cemetery Girl trilogy. Calexa Rose Dunhill remains in hiding, fearful of the people who left her for dead and want to finish the job. A P.I. named Salazar has heard the rumors of a ghost living in the cemetery. He's asking questions and showing a photo of Calexa around town. While Calexa's memories are faintly returning, she's sure Salazar knows her true identity and the past she desperately wants to understand, but she isn't sure the P.I. can be trusted or most importantly: who hired him.
The killers are closer than ever and it may take the help of a newly dead spirit to keep her alive and solve the mystery of who she is, who wants her dead, and why. All the answers are here in the dramatic series conclusion!
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
