I really enjoyed the chemistry between Dawn and Spencer. Trust Again is a book about learning to love after heartbreak. It was really good and I can't wait for more!

Let me start this by saying that when i read this i did no know at all that this was the second book in a series.
I only noticed that when i went on goodreads to mark it as read... ?

So clearly that shows that the author did a FANTASTIC job in writing basically a standalone romance and nobody needs to read this series in order.
I mean i have no idea if the first book adds something to this book, since i haven't read it... but this book was so great in itself that i am guessing that its perfectly fine to not read this series in order (just for anyone else that wants to be a rebel and NOT read them in order as i did accidentally)

Its a very nicely done romance, with super easy to read but very enjoyable writing and good characters.

What i really enjoyed was that neither of the two main characters where pushovers in any way.
They learned, they developed and changed throughout the story (but not in an unrealistic way at all)
But Kasten did such a good job in making the entire romance seem realistic, seem as if it could actually happen and that the characters are actual real people...

It was a really enjoyable read and romance in general.

If you want something fun and easy, but still very well done from the romance genre?
Or want to read a translation or try a german author?
Highly recommend this book and i am now more than interested to see if i enjoy Kasten as much in german as did in english and will try her "original" works in german in the very near future!

I really enjoyed this follow on to Begin Again.

I loved Dawn and Spencer and was happy when they finally got together. It was a change to see the h be more reluctant than the H. However, Dawn had her reasons not to be trusting and you really felt for her and what she had been through. Spencer was far from a simple character he had been through a lot too. When they both opened up and were able to just be was great. The side characters was as per the last book highly entertaining too. I look forward to reading the next one!

I was provided with a copy by NetGalley for an honest review.

**3.5 Stars**

I thought this book was a little hard to follow at times. I did like Spencer's character and thought he and Dawn were good for each other after her previous heartbreak. I enjoye

I received a copy to read and review and give my honest opinion!

Trust again is a basic novel about what happens when you have been cheated on and your broken. How you can again pick up the peices and begin anew. Dawn is in a literary college and taking classes to help her creative writing skills. Spencer Cosgrove is part of her circle of friends and has the hots for her. This is a story of how to come full circle and find a HEA.

What did I like? The writing style. The author makes Dawn a creative writer, and the story of her erotic writing unfolds. I'm not sure why erotic writing is so taboo. I'm sure there is great money in it if your ever any good. The understanding of how to accept negative feedback is nice. Not every writer gets good reviews, but it shows that you can't please everyone and you shouldn't try. Four fun stars of entertainment!

Would I buy this book? Yes, the style of writing was fun and loved the HEA. The cover was very cute and of course the blurb caught my eye. I would read more from this author.

What would I tell the author? I loved the author with in an author role. I'm thinking this was a second book in a series? Seemed like Dawn and Spencer had previous knowledge of each other. It didn't hurt the book but it made me wonder why Spencer was so prevalent for Dawn. Keep on writing!

Dawn had been avoiding men for a year. Dawn’s roommate was Sawyer and she was entertaining a man in their dorm room as they were both college students. But that meant Dawn couldn’t go to their dorm room to get some work done. She decided to go to Allies apartment thinking Allie and her boyfriend Kaden wouldn’t be home as she had already tried to call Allie and went to the apartment as Allie had given Dawn a key two months ago. When she gets to the apartment she lets herself in and sees Kaden nude and quickly runs out of the apartment as he calls for her. Dawn takes the stairs and bumps into a chest she loses her balance grabs the person but they both fall down but he twists and makes sure he doesn’t put his weight on Dawn. It was Stewart Dawn had ran into. Then Spencer says he had been wanting Dawn to fall into his arms but not literally. Dawn explained what happened. Spencer was Dawn’s worst and best nightmare. He is the only guy Dawn had meant that made Dawn question her self-imposed celibacy since her breakup with her boyfriend she had caught cheating on her then found out it had been cheating for months. Dawn feels like she is damaged since her ex cheating. The first time Dawn had meant Spencer she had mistaken him for Kaden who hadn’t been treating Sawyer very good at the time and Dawn gave him a piece of her mind. Allie had cleared everything up. Spencer offered to let Dawn go to his house and work and she accepted as none of er friends had ever been to Spencer’s and Dawn was curious about where he lived. Dawn wrote and sold erotic stories to pay her bills while in college. Her major is English with a focus on creative writing her favorite subject. Spencer had changed his major twice as he couldn’t commit as he was interested in everything. Spencer had been asking Dawn out basically everyday for sixteen months. But Dawn kept saying no as she didn’t date now as she didn’t want to be hurt again. Spencer was always so easy to talk to but was oddly quiet as he drove Dawn to his place. He also tensed as they got to the door. When they got inside he explained this was his parents house and they had money. Then he said he wanted to go for a run appeared restless and got ready and left Dawn to do her work alone. There is a strong chemistry between Dawn and Spencer.
I liked this book a lot I really enjoyed I choked up at times and other times I chuckled. I liked the plot and pace. I like Spencer and Dawn a lot. I liked how Dawn and Spencer interacted with each other especially after Dawn found out the burden Spencer carried that he was hiding from everyone. I liked the characters a lot and the ups and downs of this story and I recommend.

This was a pretty good new adult, friends to lovers romance. While this is a standalone, it’s the second book in the series, and you do see Dawn and Spencer interacting in the first one, which helps explain where they are at the start of this book.

Dawn and Spencer had a great friendship- fun and flirty. Spencer was a great character. He was sweet, light, and fun to be around. He also was dealing with some pretty heavy family stuff. Dawn was a tough character. She had a chip on her shoulder with men and it was pretty hard to like her because she was so standoffish. You can kind of understand why but she was still pretty brutal towards men, especially Spencer. She was also an erotic writer. I found her issues with being a self-published author really interesting and not something you see discussed in very many books.

I think the supporting characters were really great. It was fun to see Allie and Kaden again from the first book. But, I’m very intrigued by Sawyer. I think her story is next in the series. Can’t wait to read that one.

I am assuming that this book was translated from German and that is probably the reason why some conversations didn't make the most sense to me. There were certain lines in the book where I didn't understand why the characters acted or responded in a certain way. But then there were some situations in the book where the characters completed over-reacted to something, and I think that might have just been the writing. I don't know. Did it affect my enjoyment of the book? A little bit. But the overall storyline was good enough for me to move past the little issues.

I think if I would have read the first book in the series I would have loved the characters a little more. For about the first third of the book, I didn't really connect with Dawn. She wasn't very interesting and yes, this is where some of her reactions didn't make the most sense to me. Same with Spencer. In the beginning, his actions were very jilted and awkward, his reasoning was weird, and I just didn't love him. And their chemistry? Not present.

Ok, so let's get to the good parts. The story definitely picked up about halfway through. The character's actions made sense and their chemistry really began to feel believable. Dawn became a much more likable character and I really enjoyed her side job and the struggles she had with that. Showing the self-published author's side of releasing a book was really interesting and I thought it fit into the story very nicely.

I didn't love the other characters as much as someone who read the first book probably would have. However, there were some gems. I really liked Dawn's roommate, Sawyer. I'm hoping her story will be featured in this series at some point. I also liked Dawn's writing professor, Nolan. He was quirky and a nice addition to the large cast of characters.

Do I think Dawn and Spencer both needed dramatic side stories? Not really. They could have been a bit more polished, and I don't know if they really helped the overall story that much, but I didn't hate them. I think I may just be getting a little tired of overly conflicted stories where it's like, how many ways can these characters NOT be together? Meh.

So I didn't hate it, but it won't be making my favorites list. It did have a strong finish, so if new adult romances are your thing, be sure to check this one out.

Trust Again is the second book in this series. This is the story of Dawn, a girl guarding her heart after a horrible betrayal, and Spencer a boy who keeps pushing her for a chance at a relationship. This is my first book by this author and I found the book easy to read even without the backstory from the first one in the series. The story was well paced and I thought Dawn's character was well developed. I just wish the same had been done with Spencer's character because I didn't feel like I got to know him as well. The only negative I have is that I feel like these characters are in many ways a bit immature so don't go into this story expecting anything more than an easy, fun loving beach read. I give this story four chilli peppers of hotness!

Thanks NetGalley for this ARC!

Mona Kasten does it again. She puts the butterflies in my tummy. The story of Dawn and Spencer is adorable. One of the things I love about the author's writing is that she tends to keep the plot simple and the characters extremely vulnerable. The chemistry and romance are added and the book is a hit.

Dawn and Spencer have their own tragedies, and both of them are 5-year-olds trapped in an older body. Stubborn, confused but so in love. The story is all about understanding each other, nullifying the difference and there's a happily ever after lying right there.

While a few scenes felt similar to the first book, I enjoyed it as much. Definitely recommended to all romance lovers.

Trust Again is the second in Mona Katsen’s Again series. The protagonists are Dawn and Spencer, friends of Begin Again’s Allie and Kaden. Dawn and Spencer are friends and attracted to each other, but Dawn had her reasons for staying away. While I enjoyed the characters and their development, this book didn’t rate as highly for me as the first in the series. I still think this was very good, but would give it 3.5 instead of the four I rated the first book.

I had adored Dawn and Spencer’s characters when I read about them in Begin again (which I absolutely loved) so was really excited about their story. The book starts off really well with high sexual tension between the two of them. I love love love Spencer and really felt bad for him at times. Even though I understood why Dawn was treating him the way she did, I didn’t like it and was really heartbroken for him.

I like how the author has handled the despair and depression that the main character goes through with typical ups and downs. I really liked to see this more real and human aspect to the character rather than reading about a perfect lead hero or heroine. The journey to their HEA through pain and tribulations made me love their story even more. This is book two from the author in this series and I highly recommend this book and series.

I loved this book! I enjoyed revisiting these characters, (this is book #2 in the series) and getting to know Dawn & Spencer better. Just like the first book, I was hooked from the start. I love the way this author writes. Her stories are the perfect balance of heartfelt moments, heat, and humor. Trust Again is an ecellent follow up to Begin Again!

I want to start by saying I received an EARC of this from netgalley for an honest review. To start out I didnt know what to think when going into this book, I saw it had good reviews but most of them were in a different language I didnt understand so I was afraid I wouldn't understand the book much. Although there were a few confusing translations for the most part I really enjoyed this book. I ended up giving it a 4/5 stars because I didnt find it to be perfectly translated but the story line was great. I would defiantly recommend this one to someone else, it was a great read.

Dawn was burned once--never again. Her lifelong love, Nate cheated on her with the neighbor Rebecca. She was in love with Nate since she was 14. He was her entire world. After six months of marriage, she comes home early from a father/daughter camping trip to find him having sex with Rebecca in their bed.

After months of depression and a divorce later, Dawn decided to go to college two hours away at Woodshrill. This is where she rediscovers herself. Dawn has always loved to write and even has a few publications. But no one knows about her love of writing except Nate and her father nor does any of her new friends know what she writes about. Dawn not only doesn't trust herself, but a part of her doesn't trust anyone even her new circle of friends.

Spencer has never fit in. His whole life, he was always seeking his father's approval. But one devestating experience changes his and entire family's life forever--it's all his fault. The only person he truly trusts is his baby sister Olivia. But that doesn't stop Spence from pursuing Dawn. He fell in love with her the moment he laid eyes on her. He wants to do everything possible to show her how he feels but Dawn has placed Spence in the friendzone. Can Spence find a way to make Dawn see how deeply he feels for her? Can Dawn learn to trust herself and others with her heart?

Side note: this is Book 2 of a three book series. I didn't know that until I went to her website. The novel reads like a standalone. I will definitely be ordering the first and third books.

I love this series and can't wait to read the next book! The writing, the characters, EVERY THING, about this book was fun and a joy to read. Please give this author and series the love they deserve!

This is the first book that I have read by the amazing Mona Kasten. I was drawn to Spencer and Dawn right away. I must share my favorite quote from the book that made me want to read more. "With any other girl it might have worked. But not me, I'd been avoiding men like the plague for more than a year now". That alone made me want to read more. A man wanted her and she was afraid to open her heart to accept him.

I was swooning after Spencer. It was love at first read for me. He seemed to know that Dawn needed him before she realized it. Isn't that how life is? We are given what we need but never know just how much we need it in our lives. Love is powerful. Spencer was empathic and I just want him lol. Thank you Netgalley and the awesome person who translated this from German.
