Very good introduction to Doodle as is the Doodled Cats bythe same author and same publisher. The tutorials are illustrated and easy to reproduce. An excellent activity to try with friends and family.

In addition to all the great tips on how to doodle dogs, and dogs' homes, and doggy facial expressions, there's even a bonus project of how to make a ceramic mug doodled on in the microwave. Cute and good for doodlers of all ages.

This will make the perfect christmas present for someone that really likes dogs - actually the book opens up asking to put a picture of their dog in it, so maybe someone who already owns dog(s).
I wouldn't think I would buy this book for myself, as it's not really a drawing/art book, but it will allow some fun time to doodle your own dogs. Gemma Corell picks some popular breeds and explains how to doodle each breed of dog. There are some templates in the end if you want to doodle around your own illustrations.
There is also a DIY mug idea which I really liked and I think I might try!

Thanks to Quarto Publishing Group – Walter Foster for the ARC!

Gemma Correll is so talented! I love her doodles. This book is perfect for dog lovers!! Her list of 20 signs that you're a dog person made me laugh a lot, because it's so relatable. Since I read a digital version, I won't be able to fill the blanks and make my own doodles, which is kind of a bummer. But anyway, I loved it!

Doodled Dogs is a doodled notebook and collection of very informal lighthearted exercises for the would be dog-doodler. The majority of the book content is very simple line drawings of dogs in all sorts of situations, including anthropomorphized and alliteratively named dogs going about their lives as waiters, superheroes and artists.

It's 160 pages, published by Quarto - Walter Foster, with a due date 26th June, 2018 and available in hardback format. The measurements are 6"x7" which means it will fit easily into a purse or backpack. The author, Gemma Correll, is well known for her quirky offbeat drawings and has published a number of books about her pets and life.

For people who are seriously wishing to get some deep insights and directed lessons about doodling dogs, this is probably not your book. There is very little tutorial here. There are some short step by step tutorials, but they make up roughly 15% of the content; the rest is made up of finished drawings.

This book is appropriate for all audiences and would appeal to younger artists especially.

Charming, whimsical, witty and simply drawn.

Four stars

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.

What a sweet little book - Doodled Dogs by Gemma Correll is. I found this very book cute, fun and charming to read. This book starts with a page of how to use this book, then what supplies you will need to draw the super cute dogs, i.e Pen, Pencil etc. It then asks you questions about your dog, its favourite game, its favourite toy etc. I loved the part when it asks you of your a dog person etc. I loved the drawings of the dogs and found them so easy to draw. If you were stuck it had good clear step by step guidelines.
This book would be great for a young child especially if he or she loves dogs and would like to have one (hint hint)
Its a Super cute book aimed at all age groups. Plus, would be great for schools children especially if they are doing a project about their pets or wanting a pet.

Big Thank you to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Walter Foster for letting me read and review this book

I really liked this as it was both cute and enjoyable. I love Gemma Correll's art style and this did not disappoint. I'm crazy about the puppers and doggos and this fed my need for more dog content easily.
