Relevant stories are compared with Biblical people and events to help the reader grow in faith. Pertinent questions at chapter end assist the reader with introspection and deeper personal knowledge.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I read a lot of motivational and spiritual books across multiple faiths & non-faith points of view, and while I found much in this book to be though-provoking, too much felt repetitive and skim-worthy. I won't be posting a review outside of NetGalley.

As a Christian of over twenty years I have heard multiple sermons on the love of God (the best by Dan Mohler by far). However, I have heard far far less on covenants and was mostly unaware that other than the 'old' and 'new covenants' that there were others. This book explains those others such as the grant covenant, the vassal covenant etc and how God has used covenants to relate to His people. It even explains why while the people were under the law David essentially got an exception and a different covenant. This book flows so well and it's exciting to read something that really fills in some biblical pieces I was only vaguely aware were missing. I have yet to finish it but I'm eagerly reading it most days. Well done Mr Moody, thank you for the insights you have shared with us.
