This is the first of a new series centered around Echo Springs. Erika returns home to solve a family death and works to convince the locals including Hartley. Settle in for a good tale from Australia with interesting characters, romance, suspense and mystery . New author for me and looking forward to more by her.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

This is a fast paced story which had me turning the pages firstly with Erika and Hartley getting closer and Erika finally coming to terms with her emotions and what caused her to run from her cruel grandmother, she has become a strong woman who is confident in herself even if she speaks without thinking at times, and Hartley what a caring hero he is the love he shows Erika had me smiling and then the murders, the drugs, the investigation is heating up with danger everywhere. I really enjoyed this one thank you MS Leighton for a fabulous story and a great HEA, now to read book 2

I really enjoy a good romantic suspense and this is the start of a series, set in a small country town Echo Springs, close to Dubbo in New South Wales, and when Erika Hanson gets a worrying text message from her brother Peter and then no answers back Erika decides that it is time to return to Echo Springs her home town, the town she left sixteen years ago and this is going to open up a lot of heartache for her will she be strong enough to cope?

Erika ran away when she was sixteen after struggling to live with her grandmother after the death of her parents in an horrific accident that left her scared mentally, you see Erika is extremely bright and needed to be helped not put down, she had a best friend in Hartley Cooper who seemed to understand her, but she needed to go and now she is back worried about her brother and Hartley Cooper is now a policeman and he informs her that her brother has been killed in a drug lab explosion and Erika is now forensic pathologist, she goes all out to prove her brother innocent.

Hartley is shocked when he discovers Erika in the interview room at the police station, she left him broken hearted years before and he has not heard anything about her since and now it looks like they will be working together to uncover the truth about her brother Peter and get to the bottom of what is going on in the quiet town, but can Hartley keep his feelings to himself and protect Erika.

This is the first book in this series, Echo Springs. I like the character, Erika and am fascinated by her memory. Her lack of emotion when dealing with situations is intriguing. She and Hartley make a great team. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series to find out some answers of questions left hanging in the end.

The first in a new series, I thought that it was an enjoyable read introducing the characters and the town and the criminal elements within. I liked the relationship between Hartely and Erika and liked the way it played out. I thought Erika came to some great realisations during the course of the story. I wasn't expecting the ending and really hope that by the end of this series we have some answers. I'm looking forward to seeing where this story goes.

Thanks to NetGalley and Escape Publishing for a copy in return for an honest review.

Dangerous Echoes is the first book of the multi author Echo Springs series, but not my first read by Leisl Leighton. As I’m anal about reading stories in chronological order, I have requested the entire series and will post reviews for each book once read.
Dangerous Echoes commences at a steady pace, but soon becomes stilted and erratic in its telling, making it a less than perfect start to a brand new series. That said, if you can push past the superfluous information provided throughout, then I’m sure you will find redeeming qualities within the pages.
I will persist with the series in hopes that the next books have more to offer.

Dangerous Echoes the first book in the multi author Echo Springs series and the first book I have read by Leisl Leighton. I liked the promise this story brought it flowed well and had good characters. I did feel it lost its way mid-way through with an over load of information and struggled to regain the flow but overall I did like it and will read the remainder of this series.

This is the first book and series I have read by Leisl Leighton and I requested the entire series from Netgalley in hopes to find a new author as well as a new series to fall in love with.
The first half of the book seems to start off with the right pacing but soon get bogged down with information that almost seems redundant. The story stalls out giving readers a pretty good idea what happened to the brother and who caused his death. At this point readers will have to push though to the end of the book to find if they are right or give up and move on to another book.
Since I requested the series I pushed though but the story seem to stop and start constantly to the point of frustration.
This book isn't a great start to a new series but I will keep going in hopes things move differently in the next series.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy
