This is a well written, engaging cozy mystery with interesting, intelligent characters, a plot with a surplus of intrigue and descriptions of delicious food sure to set your mouth watering. Marley is the owner of The Flip Side, a pancake restaurant in Wildwood Cove.  Wally Fowler, a local who moved away and who was disliked by many, returns with plans to open a competing Waffle King restaurant featuring cooking with liquid nitrogen,which leaves Marley and her staff, including her chef Ivan, a bit unhappy. When Ivan finds Wally dead, looking like he was killed with the liquid nitrogen both he and Marley's friend Lisa, who are now an item, become suspects.  Marley, knowing them to be innocent, investigates as she has in the past and finds the true culprit.  With her boyfriend Brett's father undergoing heart surgery, and Marley's discovery of a family mystery involving the disappearance of a long long young woman, her life is busy and her story will keep you entertained from the first page to the very end.  I wish The Flip Side was located near me, because the descriptions of the food served there are incredible!
