I received a copy of this from Netgalley and WaterBrook & Multnomah in exchange for my honest review.
I think Becky does a good job of apply everyday stories to the stories of the Bible. Very positive and uplifting

This book really packed a lot of wisdom and fresh perspectives that I needed as a mom. The devotionals were shorter, but they delivered what was promised. Becky Thompson gave me hope on days when I wasn't at my best. I looked forward to picking this up every night before bed. I had read a previous book by the author entitled Hope Unfolding: Grace-Filled Truth for the Momma's Heart which is the reason I originally requested this book. I will say that I think I enjoyed the Hope Unfolding a little more than this one, but I can't really explain why. It just may have been the place my mind was at the time. I will be on the look out for future books from the author.

I just couldn't get into this. I thought she made some good points, but I realized that a devotional written for mainstream women is probably not for me. I prefer something more challenging, more progressive. I would rather spend my devotional time with something else.

I've read Love Unending and, and followed Becky Thompson's blog and Instagram for a long time. I absolutely love her writing and the authenticity in her words. She makes the difficulties of motherhood normal, and gives hope to moms on even their hardest days.

Truth Unchanging is a daily devotional that allows moms a few minutes of quiet amidst the immense noise they have in their lives on a daily basis. It helps you refocus your heart, refresh your mind and revive your spirit so that you can be a better mom to those little noise makers. It's a great addition to any mom's day, and one I will recommend to all my mom friends!

This is my third Becky Thompson book and I love it just as much as the other two if not more. The devotions in this book are perfect for busy moms, because Becky serves them in bite-sized servings that the reader can enjoy in about 5 minutes a day. Every time I thought I'd read my favorite devotional in the book, I came across another that I thought might be my favorite. As promised, the book provides the opportunity to begin daily conversations with Jesus, and refocuses your heart on the Word of God; refreshes your mind with God's Truth; and revives your spirit. This is a devotional I'll be gifting to experienced moms and new moms, and I'll be turning back to it time and time again myself.

Becky Thompson has found a way to a momma’s heart. Her blend of personal narrative with Scriptural truth is just enough to encourage even the most wearied souls. Thompson reminds us that it is God who is there always ready to help us and relieve our burdens. She urges us to lift our eyes up to take help from the One who over and over again has shown His love and care for people. She does so with lightheartedness and strength. I recommend this for all mommas, but especially the ones struggling in the midst of things. This is for you.

As a mom of three daughters, this was a refreshing read. Sometimes the mommy guilt can weigh you down, and Becky does a great job of lifting moms up in this book. Focusing back on God, and what His word says, helps moms feel more centered and equipped to be better moms.

I received an ARC copy from netgalley for my honest review, so thank you netgalley and publishers for offering me this book! ♡
The cover and title is what originally drew me to this book.
Motherhood is often noisy and rarely silent. Learn to hear God speaking above all the noise in these daily devotions that can be completed in five minutes or less.

As moms know, even when there isn't noise around us, there is usually noise within us. The constant to-do lists that spin in our minds, the worry and wonder if we are doing a good job, and the need to stay two steps ahead of our families when we feel two steps behind keeps our minds routinely restless. So when quiet time with God isn't so quiet, and alone time is nearly nonexistent, how does a modern-day momma tune in the voice of the Lord?
With Truth Unchanging, you don't have to wait until you're alone to talk with Jesus. Designed to be read in five minutes or less, each powerful, hope-filled devotion will...
* refocus your heart on the Word of God
* refresh your mind with God's Truth for your life
* revive your spirit as you realize God is speaking to you personally
Truth Unchanging is not just a devotional. It's an opportunity to begin daily conversations with Jesus, the One who has everything we need to take on the days ahead, the One who wants to speak to you right now. Tune in to His voice today.
This was my first book by this author. It was alltogether an easy read. ♡ I give this book a

Hearing God daily in the midst of motherhood.

A devotional for moms by a mom. It's hard for me to fully evaluate a devotional book when I read it like a regular book. To me, devotional books are meant to be read day by day instead of in one big sitting. I find myself growing impatient with the style. I will say this though, this was a good book.

Becky starts with Genesis and works her way chronologically through the Bible with 75 different devotionals. Each one has a little thought of what God might be saying to you along with a prayer to God as well as a regular devotional/reading part.

There were some geared more specifically to moms and some that would apply to a general population.

I needed the reminder to pray, pray, pray for my children. Pray for them now and also pray for them for the years to come. Becky tells the story of her mom sending her a picture of a journal entry from before Becky was born in which her mom was praying that someday Becky would be an encouragement to other moms. How powerful is that, coming when Becky was working on a book for moms.

Another thing Becky talked about is that sometimes we needed to be a part of the miracle. If we are having a bad day and want it to be better, we need to do something about it. We need to make the choice to change our attitudes. We need to make the choice not to remain angry at our spouse. We can pray and ask God for help, but if we are still not willing to take action, it won't do any good.

I did enjoy this book and think it would make a really good book for the new mom in your life and also for the mom who seems weary with life or really any mom in general.

I received this book from Waterbrook/Multnomah on NetGalley. I was not required to write a positive review. And all quotes were taken from an uncorrected proof and may not be the same in the final draft.

I cannot put into words what this book offers. Little excerpts as daily reminders of the love, faithfulness, grace and mightiness of God. I did my best to start my day by reading a chapter and it changed my whole day.
Little snippets of daily life and mole hills that seem like mountains - and wrapping it around to how God can fulfill, provide and sustain you through it all.
I have never read anything previous to this book by this author but can most definitely say this won't the the last thing I read by her. This is truly a spirit filled work.

Such a thought provoking and encouraging devotional. I love how it offers a chapter a day as the daily Bible reading. As a Mom in the trenches of younger motherhood, this devotional was very appropriate and appreciated. I would love to quote some of the passages that spoke to me, but I can't, so read them for yourself! If you know a mother, have a mom's group, or younger mothers at church, this would make an awesome gift. I am not a fan of the multiple versions used, but I am able to use my KJV Bible to look up and study the passages on my own.

Everything that Becky Thompson promises this book will be in the introduction, it delivers. She knows motherhood is noisy and crowded. She knows the ideal is that you'd sit quietly and reflect on the character and blessings of God, but the reality is that children are climbing, demanding, and in constant need of something. This book has been perfectly tailored to every mother with short, bite-sized chapters of a few pages each containing scripture, a story or reflection, and a model prayer. Thompson understands the demands, the distractions, and the drain that parenting comes with, and offers an in-the-trenches resource that can be taken with you to run errands or read in the school pick-up line, and reminds us that our relationship with God is one of constant nearness and communication at any time of the night or day. Whether it's read quickly or contemplatively, this book is practical, accessible, encouraging, and has much to offer.

This book was a breath of fresh air, coming straight from the Word of God. It was down to earth and real. It will appeal to all mothers - whether they have little ones or half grown ones. Very well done. Very highly recommended!

I can't wait until this book actually comes out next year. I think it will be a big hit. An overall good book and the cover is stunning.

This book was filled with so much wisdom that it was tough not to finish without learning anything. Even if you are not a mother or not a Christian, there will still be a lesson/theme taken away from this book. We are always on the lookout for self-help and books that give advice and of course books that promote positivity and Truth Unchanging did exactly that. What a joy to read!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. We will definitely consider adding this title to our self-help Non-Fiction section in our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars!

I am thoroughly enjoying reading this book. I am a first time mom and this is my first devotional that I am reading! I love that the chapters are short and quick and that I can read at least one a day no matter how tired I am. I like how she relates her own stories to stories from the Bible and that each chapter ends in a prayer. I would definitely recommend to any parent.

Becky Thompson has a knack for knowing the words of wisdom that moms need to hear. Because she is in the thick of it with us mommas, she knows the thoughts that are constantly rolling through our heads on a regular basis. And she knows the way to remind us of the truth that settles our hearts.

While I'm typically not a huge fan of devotional books, I enjoyed this one. Thompson takes you on a journey in Truth Unchanging through the story of the Bible to help remind us of the truths of who we are in God. It was an invitation to find Jesus within the narrative and find the ways that he is speaking to us through the noise that happens in our daily lives. Each day of this devotional reminds you that God speaks directly to you through his words. It's the reminder that we can find those moments every day no matter the mess around us.

God is always for us, and Truth Unchanging is a daily reminder that that truth will never change. God himself never changes. And the way that he cares for us won't change either.

Truth Unchanging is a helpful way to begin a conversation with God on a daily basis to help tune your heart to the truth. It will breathe life into the mundane. This book gives focus to the noise and chaos of motherhood. It has helped me find meaning in even the most mundane of tasks. Truth Unchanging has given me more an ability to hear God's truths for moments of motherhood.
