That was awesome, really loved the push/pull between the two. Can't wait to read about Kat next.

This is a voluntary review and I do not get paid for this.

"If a guy was going to fondle her petunias, the least he could do was act like he cared."

Well, I was immediately hooked after THAT opening line.

This book is as cute and fun as I expected it to be. I love the magical elements that's incorporated in the story; Juliette, the heroine, has a 'gift' with plants the same way her cousin Emma (book 1 heroine) has a gift with the baked goods she makes. I love seeing her going head to head with Logan, the guy she used to crush on when she was a teenager and who also broke her heart.

The reason why I can't give this a solid 5 is because I was sort of meh on the conflict of the story. I felt like it could've been easily resolved had Juliette took time to properly communicate why she was mad to Logan instead of biting his head off and abruptly broke things off with him.

Other than that, I'm totally charmed by the story, and I'm gonna check out the first book soon!

The Holloway Girls are the perfect way to turn a frown right side up. Sheets lights up the heart with these irresistible stories of laughter, love and family. Emma had her chance to bake up some magic, now it's Juliette's turn to spread some love. Don't Touch My Petunia uses whimsy to wake up the heart and wisdom to appeal to the mind. Prepare to get lost in the addiction that is Tara Sheets.

This story is so cute and so much fun to read! Tara Sheets brings us a heart touching story filled with humor, love, and a special dose of magic. While part of a series this story stands completely on it's own.

When it comes to plants, Juliette has a magical green thumb so owning the florist shop she's been working for is her biggest dream. When the current owner's nephew and Juliette childhood crush shows up threatening Juliette's plan her hackles rise to full alert! These two have a bit of history but now way will Juliette give in to the attraction between them. At least that's the plan!

This is a wonderfully written book and one I definitely recommend.

Tara Sheets has the magic touch when it comes to sweet, utterly charming romances. I adored her first Holloway Girls book, Don’t Call Me Cupcake, and was pleased to find the enchantment didn’t wear off with Don’t Touch My Petunia.

Juliette has a magical connection to plants that someone with a black thumb like me envies. She’s vibrant and endearing, but she also had a vulnerable side that tugged on my heartstrings. Aside from her cousin Emma, everyone she has ever loved has left Juliette so she guards her heart fiercely. She relies on no one but herself, has walls a mile high, and is wary of change. Only someone like Logan could manage to scale those walls around her heart. Logan is the perfect hero without coming off as cardboard. He’s patient, kind, quiet, strong, and though he doesn’t take any flak from Juliette, he doesn’t scare easily when she resists change or her self-preservation instincts kick in and she tries to push him away. They have great chemistry that shows from the start as they banter and bicker, then slide into love. Their romance made me sigh more than once and there are so many sweet moments I don’t want to spoil by revealing. I really enjoyed watching them heal from the ghosts of their pasts with each other’s help and I liked them together so much that I hated having to put the book down.

A cast of lively secondary characters round out the book but never take the focus off of Juliette and Logan. I love the world of Pine Cove Island, the charm of the shops and the welcoming residents who each have their own fun quirks. I’m so glad Ms. Sheets will keep the magic going and give new Pine Cove Island resident Kat her own book because I don’t want to leave this place behind. If you enjoy sweet romances with a touch of magic, you’re sure to delight in reading Don’t Touch My Petunia.

Juliette takes her green thumb seriously. She endows all of her projects with a little magical oomph! She is also stubborn and ambitious and can be blinkered to everything else.

Logan was Juliette's teenage love. When he left town he joined the military and has now retired to his grandfathers house and undertaking a variety of renovations at Juliette's shop as a favour. Logan is definitely a still waters run deep kinds guy. He wants the whole enchilada; wife, family, white picket fence.

Juliette is trying to be in charge of everything! She hates it when Logan moves things around without her permission! The sexy-times take place behind closed doors so no in your face lovemaking, more the make it up yourself variety.

Ok i think i enjoyed this one even more than book 1. Tara's writing style is easy and engaging, which I really liked. And of course this one caught me with the banter between Logan and Juliette. I enjoyed the chemistry between them.

Initially, they but heads but of course they can't resist the connection they have. I loved seeing Juliette and Emma's set of friends again. They're an interesting crew for sure! Their interactions made for some fun scenes. These ladies say the most outlandish things. We also get introduced to the C of book 3 Kat, whose magic seems to be animal related. I'm intrigued to learn more about her cuz i'm wondering if she's a long lost Halloway girl.

Getting to know Logan and Juliette was great and we get alternating POVs here, which I like. I think Tara Sheets also did a wonderful job of tapping into Logan and Juliette's internal conflicts. The scene with the before and after the tree incident whew that hit me in my feels.

I have to say though, I didn't always like some of Logan's bossiness. When she was going on the date with Brock on the motorcycle without the helmet, I got he was worried but Juliette's an adult capable of making her own decisions and him bodily removing her from the bike bugged me too much.

Alsooo Juliette totallyy overreacted in my opinion after Romeo's decision, which Logan had nothing to do with. How you gonna get pissed off at Logan for not knowing something you didn't tell him in the first place???? That was a bit much. Be made at Romeo sure, but Logan was actually innocent in all this.

Anyhoooo, it all worked out beautifully. I loved it. I'm looking forward to book 3.

This is the second in the series, but can be read alone. The first book had Emma and Hunter, and this one has Emma's cousin Juliette's story. Both women have 'gifts', Emma has a touch with baking and Juliette has a touch with plants. When Logan returns to the island after many years in the service, the sparks fly. Juliette had a huge crush on him in high school, and there is still something there. He can be so bossy, though, and rubs her the wrong way. The floral shop she runs, is owned by his uncle, so she is forced to work with him as he does construction around the place. Fun story, and highly recommend if you are looking for a quick and easy romance story.

I absolutely loved this book. Juliette and Logan are such great characters, well thought out and engaging; you can't help but like them. The side characters are fun, the location is perfect, and the surroundings are described so perfectly. I didn't want this book to end and simultaneously needed to know what was going to happen.

I completely recommend this book.

This is my first book to read by this author and honestly I am not sure I will read any more. The story line is very good with an former military man coming home to make a life for himself while dealing with PTSD. Juliette is the main female character working as a florist, who is beautiful, charming, and...magical? This story would have been a good romance story without the magic added. That was just a bit strange to me and totally not needed to make a great contemporary romance. I do not like to retell the story as so many reviewers do as I just think it spoils it for future readers that can resist reading the reviews with spoiler alerts.
I think the author is a good writer and the characters were interesting, funny, and well developed I just felt it brought the book down by making Juliette have magical powers with the earth and flowers.

The second book in the Holloway girls series! I do hope the covers will change as I think they are not suited to the books.

This is about Juliette, the cousin of the heroine of the first book, and Logan. Juliette had a huge (unrequited) crush on Logan when she was in her teens but he was 4 years older and left the island for the military. He is back and wants to settle.
Juliette is annoyed with Logan changing things at the flowershop where she works, at the request of his uncle (the owner). She has the gift of nature.

Somehow this book did not move me as the first. Juliette was rather annoying and hostile to Logan, who was nothing but kind to her. She kept it up too long for my liking.
The tone of the book is light and sprinkled with some magic. Kat will be next!

Overall a solid romance.

I requested and received and ARC via Netgalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.

It's another hit from Tara Sheets! I am absolutely loving The Holloway Girls series. It has everything that I ask for in a good romance series with delightful characters and a swoony romance, and more with the touch of magic. As with Don't Call Me Cupcake, Don't Touch My Petunia charmed me from the first page. I just want to shout out my love for these books from the top of a rooftop!

The Holloway Girls are special - they possess just a touch of magic in them. Emma, the heroine of the first book, could bake charmed cupcakes. Juliette, the heroine of Don't Touch My Petunia, has a magical affinity for plants - she is able to heal and grow any plant that she wants. I adored Juliette's character, especially how close to Mother Nature she was. I thought her deep bond with nature was written beautifully - you could just feel how important it was to her. She worked at the local flower shop and had many aspirations. She was passionate, driven and was a sweetheart. Juliette was easy to grow a connection to and even when she was being bullheaded and blinded by her ambitions, I felt deeply connected to her. She was hard to dislike because her personality was lovely and endearing.

Logan, her love interest, was just the perfect balance to her. At the age of 18, after breaking Juliette's heart, he went off to the military. After several tours, he was back on Pine Cove Island to settle down at his grandfather's house. At the same time, he was also helping out with renovations at the flower shop as a favor to his uncle. I loved Logan so much! He was the quiet but deep kind of hero. I found it refreshing that the author wrote a hero who actually wanted to settle down and start a family because reading about heroes with commitment issues can become old real fast. He was also struggling with a mild form of PTSD after having been in the service for so long. I felt for him and was happy that he had someone to talk to in the form of Juliette.

The chemistry between Juliette and Logan was a strong and all-consuming element throughout Don't Touch My Petunia. The first scene at the flower shop where the book title was used as a clever pun had me in riots! I thought the two of them were just the perfect for each other. Juliette didn't intend on falling in love with him. But we all know how that goes in fiction! There was just a bit of animosity between them in the beginning as Logan made changes to the shop that weren't in her plans. The banter and the growing bond between them made me a very happy romance fan. As with the first book, the sex scenes were fade-to-black, but that did not take away from the chemistry one bit. I so loved these two adorable human beings together and wanted so much for them to find their happily-ever-afters. This series also has a strong focus on friendship and family. I love the close bond between Juliette and Emma, who are cousins. We also get to see more of their two hilarious (and often inappropriate) friends in Don't Touch My Petunia, and I swear, I was laughing out loud whenever they had a scene.

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that there is going to be another book in this series. I'm not going to say who it is, but you meet her in this book. I can't recommend this book and the Holloway Girls series highly enough. I don't like to do book or author comparisons, but I truly think readers who love Jill Shalvis are going to just adore Tara Sheets' style as well. Please pick these books up and fall in love with this debut series just as I did! :)

I liked Cupcake, but I LOVED Petunia, and I can't wait for Butterflies! I started Petunia on my commute in and had to stop for work and it was so horribly unfair to have to stop reading this book, you just don't want to know. The characters were well defined and interesting, and I just enjoyed being a part of their lives.

LOVE this book! I can’t wait for the next installment, curious as to how this next character is going to fit into the dynamics of this family.....long lost sister?

Juliette Halloway and her cousin Emma are the last of the Halloway’s on Pine Cove Island. The Halloway women have, for generations, had magical powers that they use for the good of the inhabitants of Pine Cove. Juliette’s power involves being connected to nature, specifically flowers. She can make plants grow and flourish. She is also able to make soaps and other toiletries from her plants that can influence people in positive ways. Logan O’Connor was the boy next door that Juliette crushed on as a child, but crushed her heart when he left for the service. He is back after several tours in Afghanistan and wants to settle back in Pine Cove. Logan is put in charge of the remodel of the florist that Juliette manages. What starts as antagonism becomes love. It is sweet romance (there is sex, but done in a PG rated way), the secondary characters were charming, and I did want to read Kat’s book. What kept this from being a five star book, Juliette. Juliette was annoying and irrational when it involved Logan. I just wish that she was a stronger character. In both the first and second book of this series, I loved the male protagonist, and was mildly annoyed by the female.

I received an arc of this book by NetGalley for my honest review.
