Premeditated Peppermint is the third title in the Amish Candy Shop Mystery series. Although readers will get the most from reading this series in order, I don't feel like a reader couldn't jump in at any time to enjoy the characters, mystery and quaint charm of Harvest, Ohio.

This entry finds Bailey celebrating Christmas in Harvest complete with a Christmas Market and of course peppermint candies from Swissmen Sweets. But what is unexpected is the arrival of her conceited ex boyfriend, tv chef Eric and his camera crew. Eric outrageously assumes that Bailey will agree to film for television and just arrives in town. Not only does Bailey have to deal with his presumptions, she then feels the need to solve the murder of Eric's tv producer.

The charm of Harvest and it's townspeople were still part of the appeal of this book and the mystery was well told but I did NOT want Eric to ruin the relationship with Deputy Aiden Brody. I can't stand the trope of the love triangle. Just let us have Bailey and Aiden together solving crimes.

I will recommend the Amish Candy Shop Mystery series to all my culinary mystery readers and those looking for a cozy read.

This was the second time I read this book and I think I liked it more. I like how Bailey and the other characters try to straddle the lines between the Englisch and Amish worlds. I thought the mystery was decent as well.

I received a copy from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

Overall I enjoy this series. In this third book Christmas has arrived in Harvest and the town is getting ready for the Christmas Festival with lots of Peppermint and a Live Nativity. Bailey's ex NY boyfriend also arrives with a camera crew to film a Christmas segment for his reality cooking show. When the producer is found dead and he is the prime suspect Bailey sets out to clear his name. I enjoy the Candy Shop and Amish background. The characters in town are fun and Jethro the pig is going to be a star. The mystery was good with lots of suspects and red herrings. The book is easy to read and perfect for the Holidays. Enjoy

This is the first Christmas Bailey will spend in Amish country. When her ex from New York walks into her family owned Swissmen Sweets, nothing good will happen next. I liked being in Harvest during the holidays, Lots of interesting details about Amish life that dovetail with the murder investigation.

Bailey King is getting ready for the Harvest Christmas Market and the Swissmen's Sweets shop is concentrating on Peppermint candies. Just as she thinks everything is under control, Bailey's ex-boyfriend,Eric, a celebrity chef, turns up thinking that he'll rekindle their romance as well as use the Amish candy shop as a Christmas venue for his show. Before any actual filming takes place, the producer is killed, and of course, Eric is the chief suspect.

Bailey is caught between trying to clear Eric and manage the candy production needed for the market. The new producer doesn't seem to think that anyone wouldn't want their business to be front and center in the TV spotlight, but Bailey has to live with the Amish way of life and get their approval before things can proceed.

A fun cozy with great characters and delicious sounding candy!

I quite enjoyed this book, particularly the setting. The main character was well written but I found the story line a bit slow. Some of the characters were not that nice and I found that a bit sad considering the book was set in Amish country.

I LOVE THIS SERIES!! I think that the characters are amazing and so well written.

Christmas is Bailey King’s favorite time of year. For her first Yuletide in Harvest, Ohio, she is ready to participate in the Holly Days with candy from the sweet shop she runs with her Amish grandmother. Everything goes down hill when her ex boyfriend and New York celebrity chef Eric Sharp and his TV crew have arrived to film an authentic Amish Christmas. Bailey’s not about to let her beloved town—and Swissmen Sweets—be turned into a sound bite. Unfortunately, she gets more publicity than she bargained for when Eric’s executive producer is found strangled to death—and Eric’s the prime suspect.

Bailey decides that she needs to help clear Eric’s name and find out who the real killer is. I love the character of Cass and I am thrilled by her playing both Bailey and a certain mischievous pigs agent!!

I really enjoyed this book. It was nice to visit Harvest, Ohio again and catch up with some of my favorite characters. Bailey and Jethro the pig are still my top favorites.

The mystery in this book was really well written. There were several suspects to choose from and the mystery kept me guessing until the very end! The killer took me by surprise.

This book is the 3rd in the series and my favorite..... so far... Its Christmas time and Bailey is surprised when her ex-boyfriend Eric shows up in town with a news crew. When the producer is murdered, Eric becomes the prime suspect. Bailey investigates and helps solve the mystery. The story reminds me of a reality tv show and the banter between the characters is enjoyable, especially Bailey and Cass.

Best. One. Yet.

Bailey is an English, a non Amish person, living in Amish country. She had previously given up on her NYC lifestyle and her fancy Chocolatier job, to help her grandmother run the Amish candy shop after her grandfather's passing. In this installment, her NYC life comes to Harvest, OH. When her ex boyfriend shows up with a tv production crew to film a Christmas segment for their show, Bailey is very suspicious. Using the Amish town and Christmas on the square, the producer thinks it will be a good way to soften Eric's image and a possibly rekindle any romance that is left. If that isn't all stressful enough for Bailey, she stumbles upon the body of one the crew members in the middle of the town square.

With a visit from Cass, Juliet trying to make Jethro a television star, to Bailey and Aiden playing Mary and Joseph in the live nativity... this book made me laugh out loud many times. Even though there is a murderer on the loose and the fact that Bailey has a few tough decisions to make, the book is hilarious. I had a little of all the feels in this one.

Amanda Flower just has a way of making you fall in love with her core characters and delivers a plot and setting that sucks you in. I am sad that I am almost caught up on this series. I am starting Criminally Cocoa, book 3.5, and I will be impatiently waiting for Toxic Toffee, book 4, in June.

In addition to the digital ARC I received from NetGalley, I also have the audio version read by Rebecca Mitchell. She does a great job with the accents and drawing you in to the story.

I'm not sure why I didn't start this book sooner as it was one that I didn't want to put down once I started the read. I enjoy the location and find the characters very interesting. Also, I do love 'Christmas' books. The mystery is top-notch. Even though I had part of the mystery solved, I didn't have the 'killer' until the very end. I read this one while traveling and it kept me turning the pages, even after the plane landed. I'm looking forward to the next one in the series!!!

Premeditated Peppermint is an exciting holiday adventure in Flower's Amish Candy Shop mystery series. Bailey King is excited for her first Christmas helping her grandmother run their Candy Shop as well as her first participating in the town's Christmas Market. Just as the holidays were getting closer, Bailey's ex Eric showed up with a television crew needing her help for his show. Things go from bad to worse when a member of Eric's television crew is murdered leaving it up to Bailey to clear Eric's name.

Flower does a great job at setting up a great holiday read full of holiday spirit, romance, humor, and murder. Bailey is really tested this holiday as she tries to decide what she really wants, needs to put her past relationship with Eric to bed, tries to work on starting a relationship with Aiden, and solves a murder. I like how Flower set up a story that shows how much things have changed for Bailey as she takes stock of what she wants and where she wants to go from here. I also loved the secondary characters because they helped make the story even more enjoyable and special. The book's mystery was well done keeping the reader guessing until the end. Overall Premeditated Peppermint is a great holiday read that you can enjoy all year long. I look forward to reading Bailey's next adventure.

Another good installment in the Amish candy mysteries. I loved the television show aspect, and was thrilled with the idea of Bailey having her own show. Having Cass visit was a fun twist. Her and Bailey make a good team. The murder was interesting and had me guessing and second guessing. I loved Bailey and Aiden's relationship making a bit of progress. Overall, I loved the book and can't wait for the next mystery in the series.
