I am loving these Amish retellings of classic fairy tales! I had to read 80% of the way through this one before putting it down due to sheer exhaustion at the end of the day. The author does a great job of taking these stories and reinventing them in the Amish background. I was curious to see how the seven dwarfs were going to fit into the story, but it worked wonderfully! The wicked stepmother, the woodcutter, the hunter...all of the classic roles are present, as well as the Disney-esque aspects of the songbird princess and conversing with animals. You'll feel anger, betrayal, and hopelessness as you read through the story, but all will be redeemed. It is, after all, a fairy tale!

Sadie, a young Amish woman, the apple of her father's eye is having a hard time dealing with her stepmother's jealousy. She flees for her life following her stepmother's plot to marry her off to an old widower. She is hosted by the seven brothers whom the Amish have shunned from their community. and meets their mysterious handsome cousin.

The author cleverly weaves the modern Amish aspects into this fairytale, especially the seven dwarfs part. Sadie was a quick, clean and charming read that readers can enjoy in one or two sittings.

I've never read an Amish book like this before, but it was very good. I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend this book to everyone. Thank you Kensington Books Zebra via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. This is my honest opinion of this book.

I have been loving Sarah Price's new Amish Fairytale series so you can imagine my excitement reading this book. Her first book "Belle" was amazing. "Ella" was good too. And this one falls right between the two of them.

Sadie doesn't know why her step-mother is so mean to her. She started out good but now she's starting to show her true colors. And her latest scheme is trying to marry Sadie off to an older widower. Desperate to flee, Sadie finds refuge in the Grimm brother's cottage where 7 rejected Amish men live. And of course there's Fredrick, the man who has her heart singing throughout her entire ordeal.

This was a well-executed book that I am happy to say was one of the best books I have read all year. This is appropriate for all readers and I encourage everyone to read this.

Sadie is the newest installment in Sarah Price's clever and creative Amish spin on the classic fairy tales. And I think this may be the best one in this series, for the skillful storytelling and depth of characters. Sadie's kindness and loving nature make it easy to care for and identify with her character, and I loved her excitement in getting to know and care for Frederick, who lives in a neighboring Amish community. My heart went out to Sadie as she dealt with confusion and hurt at the tactics her manipulative stepmother, Rachel, used to distance Sadie from her father, and which escalate into trying to banish Sadie from the household. Sadie seeks for and find comfort with Frederick, as well as dear friends Belle and Ella. And, also with Sarah Price's clever twist on the seven dwarves, the Glick brothers.
If fellow readers are seeking an entertaining and heartwarming read to "while away" the summer heat and enjoy the air conditioning in, they will find it in Sadie.

I started this series with Ella. I enjoyed it so much I had to read Belle. Once I saw Sadie, I knew I had to read it as well. You do not have to read them in order but if you read one you'll want to read the others.
While this is an innocent Amish story it shows the lengths people will go.
Sadie has a stable life. A father that loves her, friends whose company she enjoys, and the affections of a nice young man. She also has a horribly jealous stepmother. Jealous of her youth, beauty, and the fact that Sadie has all the opportunities she didn't. So she does some pretty unbelievable things to get rid of her.

While not a fantastic read, it wasn't a terrible one either. In fact, it was as warm and comfortable as I'd expect from an Amish romance. It's sweet, clean, and predictable.

Sadie is a loveable character that truly has done nothing to earn the ire of her stepmother, Rachel. Rachel is as jealous and vain as an Amish woman can be written-- following in the true fairytale form, Sadie is deathly allergic to apples and Rachel absolutely knows how to use this against her.

Enter in 7 Amish little men to protect Sadie from being married off to an unkind, and possibly abusive, widower plus the dashing Fredrick and you've got your Amish Snow White.

I enjoyed it and will probably pick up Ella at some point. While they are all apart of the same series, it is important to note that they can all be read as a standalone.

Thank you to NetGalley, Sarah Price, and Kensington Books for this free ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions contained herein are my own.

Sadie is the third book in the Amish fairy tale series. Sadie is the retelling of Snow White. Like Snow White Sadie has an evil step-mother. Her step-mother wanted so much to bear a child and blamed Sadie for all her infertility. She was quite jealous of Sadie's youth and would do anything to get her out of the way. In the story of Snow White you have the poison apple. No poison apples her but an allergy to apples. The step-mother was quite evil and you would not believe all the horrible things she did to Sadie. I think her father should have a more of a backbone. And then is the friendly Amish gentlemen that she meets at the edge of the woods. Could this be her prince charming?

I have enjoyed all the books in the series which are quick reads. I wish the author would write some more re-telling of fairy tales into Amish fiction. Perhaps Sleeping Beauty?

Thanks to Kensington Books and Netgally for providing me an e-book to read and review. Sadie is due to be published on September 25, 2018.

So as soon as I got approved to read this book from NetGalley I started it and I really didn't put it down until I had finished it. I really enjoyed this Amish retelling of Snow White. I loved how Sadie and Frederick met before she met the seven little men in the woods. Her stepmother Rachel was a trip. That woman treated Sadie like she was nothing because she couldn't get pregnant with her husband's child. That's really no reason to treat someone like they're nothing though. And she managed to influence Sadie's father enough that he agreed that she had to marry John Rabor. That man is a tool and treats women and his children like shit.

I enjoyed the sweet romance between Frederick and Sadie and they always put a smile on my face when they were together. I also really loved the Brothers Grimm and I want to see them in another book. We were also introduced to a woman named Rhoda and she could possibly be little red riding hood. I really hope she gets her own book. I don't want to see this series end. I can honestly say Sarah Price is the only writer of Amish romance that I read.
