If you read the first book you know this is a series about brothers who will be left a billion dollar liquor business . Jack and Grace are good characters and I loved their families too. This is a light and breezy romance that will have you smiling for days and there is even some stream. The book did however start out slow for me and I did lay it down and had to come back to it. I devoured the first one. This really didn't feel like a second chance book. Don't give up on it though it will pick up.

What a great slow burn romance. Grace and Jack had great chemistry. I was excited to see this is a series and will be checking out the rest of the Murphy Bros series. I mean who doesn't love the idea of loving an Irish man. Just the accent alone!

This series is not my favorite by Magan Vernon.
Three sons must each be married within six months to inherit a business.....

After an embarrassing meeting after so many years, Grace & Jack's reunion doesn't exactly go smoothly. To make up for it, Jack offers Grace a job, but finds out he's actually willing to give her a lot more.

While not as intriguing as book 1 was for me, I still did enjoy the story somewhat, especially the brothers' heckling of each other. I definitely look forward to Sean's story.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book, supplied via NetGalley & Entangled.

I thoroughly enjoyed this light, quick read from Magan Vernon. I did not realize that Irish on the Rocks was part of a series until I was well into the story. I suppose that means it could stand alone. I was interested enough by the side characters to seek out the rest of the series. This story revolves around the need to have a wife in order to fulfill the terms of an inheritance, and it works well. The primary couple are well drawn, the dialogue is stellar - crisp and witty, and I was totally captured by the dog! Off to read more from Ms. Vernon.
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.

This is book 2 in the series. We finally get to see the conservative brother meet his match. Great humor. Some wonderful chemistry. Beautiful setting. Loved seeing all the brothers together as well.

Great addition to the series.

This was a new author for me. Although I did not read the first book in the series, I had no trouble at all reading this book as a standalone. The characters were very interesting and likable. The story was also interesting with some drama, emotion, humor and sweet romance. I'll have to check out the first book in the series now. Nicely done!

This is the 2nd book in the Murphy brothers series. Its the older brother of the Murphy's Good, likable characters, fast paced office romance! Even though its book 2, you can totally read it as a standalone!

My family's whiskey empire needs to keep me as CEO. But thanks to my dad's will, to take my place as rightful head of the company, I need to find a wife. If I could just get my brother Sean's pain-in-the-arse best mate, Grace, out of my head long enough to focus on finding a decent woman.
This was a cute, light-hearted book that I was able to get through rather quickly. I liked both main characters. I recommend.

This is the second book in the series and I enjoyed it just as much as the first one. This is Jack and Grace's story these two have known each other since they were kids as she is his brother's best friend but when they run into each other Jack realizes she is not the same kid he remembered. I just loved the banter between these two it made for a really fun read. I really liked this book.

If you are looking for a quick romance read, pick this book!

Grace and Jack have insane chemistry and I enjoy reading about their relationship. I love that Grace doesn't change herself to fit into what Jack wants. Their banter is my favourite thing about them.

I have never been disappointed by a book from Magan Vernon. Once again, she delivers a fantastic read with angst and laughter. Her style is fun and engaging.

Cute story, I liked that there's already history between Jack and Grace, that lends an air of realism. If you read the first book, you'll remember about the will stipulations Jack and his brother Sean had to abide by. Grace is unaware of said stipulations, and I couldn't wait to see how everything would play out for them.

After the first book in the series failed to wow me, I took a short break and came back to this one instead of reading it right after the first book as I usually would do. Unfortunately, this one was a bit worse than the first one!

While this was billed as a second chance romance, there was no evidence that they had even gotten together in the first place, so I felt that was a bit misleading. It also felt as if it was a carbon copy of book 1, falling for the office assistant. It wasn't really original to me!

I also didn't like the clichéd nature of the board, how it seemed to be a stodgy "good ol' boys" club and that the brothers had to ask permission from their "fathers" and "grandfathers" rather than make any decisions themselves.

I have to admit, there were a few good scenes in the story, and it saved the book from a lower rating for me. However, I don't think I'll read the third book in the series.

I had fun with this first time author, to me. Irish on The Rocks was a quick, entertaining read, with likable characters. I really enjoyed Jack and Grace, along with their quirky family members. The angst was low and the issues were uncomplicated and easy to overcome. For me, that equaled perfect. Just what I needed after a couple of not so great books.

I didn't realize this was book 2 until I came to write my review. With that, you won't be lost, but you will want more of Connor and Fallon. I think I may just go back and read their story. And I definitely look forward to seeing who snags Sean. Plus, I'll get to see more of Jack and Grace.

If you are looking for something fun and light-hearted than I recommend one clicking this one. You'll fall quick for our resident bad boy and his assistant.

So we all kinda knew how this was going to play out, and we are all not wrong. This was a fun little story, albeit a little far-fetched at times, but still an easy, breezy romance.

I thought this was good read. The writing flowed well, and I thought Jack and Grace had good chemistry. There isn't a lot of drama in this story, except for Grace's aversion to marriage. It felt a little forced to me, because she was a grown woman when her parents divorced. Grace's grandma was a hoot! She said exactly what she thought, and didn't care what anyone thought. I didn't read the first book in this series, but I didn't feel lost at all. I would definitely like to find out how Sean's story goes!
I voluntarliy reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

A great story with great characters who have great chemistry, and there is plenty of drama, sexiness, love and with a great HEA. Will be looking for more books by this author and I would totally recommend this book too

“Falling in love, 3.5 stars”

Jack needs a wife and lusting over his brother’s best friend isn’t helping matters. Jack’s life is hectic, and he doesn’t have time for Grace, but he cannot deny that in the last eight years she’s grown up just fine. When he decides that she’s the only one qualified to be his assistant he had no idea what he was getting himself into. Especially with his fathers will hanging over his and his brother’s heads. Will he make the deadline on his fathers will or will he let his family legacy go up in smoke?

Grace has had a rough go of it lately and is trying to get back on her feet. She doesn’t want to take the job with her best friends’ brother but it seems like the fastest way to getting on the right track. Only she didn’t imagine her crush on Jack would come back alive. Grace knows about Jack’s need of a wife, she wants to be with him but has no desire to ever get married. What will she do?

I liked the idea of Irish on the Rocks but there were quite a few points for me that didn’t line up exactly. Like Jack’s father was best friends with Grace’s grandfather, and with how old the business was it would be hard to picture him having kids as young as these guys were. Then there was the fact that its supposed to be a whiskey business according to the blurb but yet the way the story sounds it sounds more like a pub business. There were no real talks of whiskey even though they “worked” in it, which was odd. Then at one point I felt like Vernon was just going through the ending motions and hitting what she needed to. it was too predictable.

Like I said before I liked the idea of the story. I love a good best friends brother romance, so I had high hopes for Irish on the Rocks. And I am a complete sucker for all things Irish. Even though Irish on the Rocks didn’t work for me, it might work for you.
