I enjoyed this book. There were times it seemed to drag, but the excitement keep me going. I love Sarah’s loyalty and sense of adventure. I also love her pick at the end.

Hot pursuit was a delightful read! I especially liked Sarah’s character. I have yet to read a character similar to hers which I think was what made this such a good read. The story was fresh with originality and I even found myself unable to put it down once I started,

I really tried to like this book, but I just couldn't get into the characters. The book was slow and boring.

suspense and drama in this story. Sarah gets a chance to become a real journalist and runs with it. But she got a lot more then she bargained for. This is a cliffhanger

Cute idea. The "mystery" wasn't very compelling and the romance didn't have enough tension for me. Hated the nickname "Beauty Girl." Somewhat formulaic. Not the worst I've ever read, just not wonderful

Overall a cute book but it took me a while to get into. The whole mystery was a bit hard to believe as Sarah was not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. Nick was easier to handle and had some witty banter. The romance built up decently but James and Sarah’s wishy-washiness about him was infuriating.

A novel that’s more mystery than romance, Hot Pursuit follows journalist Sarah and photographer Nick. While some may find the story amusing, other may be frustrated by the lack of chemistry or romance between the leads who seem to bicker more than anything. The suspense/mystery aspect could have been enjoyable but there were too many issues with the heroine who felt and acted younger than her years. She also didn’t make sense as a journalist for multiple reason, making that aspect of the story unbelievable.
That being said , the story is good for mindless distraction. There is humor and mystery making the plot somewhat engaging and the writing is well done.

Cute mystery romance. Sarah Burrows works at a gossip magazine, but she wants to move up and be a journalist. Things couldn’t be worse for her. Her boyfriend left her for no apparent reason, and he left her with a mortgage payment she can’t make. One night she is at the bar drowning her sorrows in booze on her maxed out credit card, and she meets Chris Ford. It is an immediate attraction, but it ends abruptly. The next day she realizes that Chris Ford is a famous lead singer who is on the run for murder. She is tasked to find him and get the story. This could save her job and her house, except she has to travel with an ex one. Isn’t stand who enjoys nothing more than tormenting her.

I took me a little while to get into this book. But once I did i enjoyed the book quite a bit. It will be interesting to see what Rebecca Freeborn will write next.

Unfortunately, I struggled with this book. The heroine is unlikable, continually makes bad choices for bad reasons, is a doormat in relationships, and plays the victim. I can suspend disbelief for a good story but there was too much in this story.

Great book that will keep you guessing all the way through! Rebecca Freeborn takes you on a trip all over Europe and makes you feel you are right there! Hope she writes another book and keeps Sarah's character going. She could be the next Stephanie Plum..

Utterly boring! I didn't like Sarah, she was too clumsy and always acting stupid. Constantly pining over that jerk James. And then there's Nick who can't seem to say anything nice. It seemed from the premise that Sarah and Chris would have something going. I guess not as I didn't care to finish this book. DNF!! I liked how the blurb sounded which is why I downloaded the book. But I just couldn't finish it. I voluntarily read this book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."
Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet romantic comedy and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

This book was recommended as being similiar to a couple of authors I found recently that I really enjoyed. I did not enjoy this book nearly as much. The female character seemed weak It starts very slow and took me a long time to even care what was happening with the plot (and honestly, I never really did). Just not my kind of book, obviously, but it's decently written and could be fun if you like a sort of romance/sort of mystery book.

The book was well written and it might be a hit with the Bridget Jones' Diary audience. I just didn't connect with any of the characters. Sarah was much too naive and the scenes with her bumbling around that others might find funny, I found annoying. I'm giving it three stars because though I was underwhelmed I'm sure some of our patrons will adore.

Sarah’s ambition is to be an investigate journalist instead of the dead end job she is in now. Her personal life is also falling apart, thanks to her boyfriend moving out and ghosting her. Unable to pay the mortgage with her present job, she exaggerates her knowledge of a celebrity and his mysterious disappearance to get the journalist job. Unexpectedly to her she is assigned Nick, a photographer who happens to be the best friend of her ex and someone she had a one night stand with. Despite her inexperience and the personal complications, the story she is going after is much more serious and dangerous than she thought. Quite a few twists and turns along with a great ending!
I can't wait to read more of this series!

Hot Pursuit is a fun romp through Europe with a Bridget Jones style heroine. While the HEA wrap up seemed a little sparse and a bit rushed at the end it was still mostly satisfying. An enjoyable quick read.

I had fun reading this book. It was cute, but also had some suspense and mystery. Overall I really enjoyed it. It was a quick easy read that I would recommend. I didn't really feel a lot of connection to the story and that is the only reason I am giving it three stars, but I would definitely read more from this author.

I enjoyed the book! It was a quick & easy read....had some suspense and rom-com too. The book was tagged with "for Christina Lauren fans" but I didn't get that vibe (not the sex they describe). It was more like a Carly Phillips book to me. Was the perfect book to read to end the summer!
