Looking for a quick, kinky love story where the man is the novice for once? Picture Perfect Cowboy is that story. Jason Waters, professional bull rider, (retired) is struggling with his desire to dominate women. It’s something he’s thought about in secret and explored through the internet. After agreeing to be photographed for a calendar for literacy he meets sexy. pink-haired Simone, a sometimes photographer, sometimes professional submissive. Simone has no issues with her sexual desires and jumps at the chance to help him with his. And so the kink begins.

In my opinion the story reads a bit too much like a non-fiction “how to” book. I’d title it “Dominance 101” or “So You’re Kinky, Now What?” Chapter one would be all about how consenting adults can do whatever they want in the bedroom or playroom, or wherever there’s a spare riding crop or blindfold. This novel promotes that concept with a somewhat simplistic plot and likeable, although unmemorable, characters. That said, given the price of $3.99 for the ebook on Amazon, ($14.99 paperback) perhaps we are getting what is expected. Even at that low price, this reader would have liked more heart and less recitation.

I received an ARC of Picture Perfect Cowboy. Many thanks to publisher 8th Circle Press and NetGalley.

3.5 STARS I am possibly the only one who has not read Original Sinners series, although I did read book one, I was not drawn to continue. This one caught my attention, I love a conflicted cowboy story. Quiet cowboy Jason begins to learn what he desires with the help of a more experienced sub Simone. He had never come to terms with his feelings for what he wants, his desires and has not really fulfilled his darkest fantasies. This one was a short fun sexy read

This book moved fairly quickly and the MC's embraced the change fairly easily and the story was steamy hot. IMO it felt like a novella or side story to a series., But it can definitely be enjoyed as stand alone.

This was a good book. I liked that they were from two different parts of the U.S. and amade the relationship work. I also liked that the guy was a cowboy! Good sex scenes too!

Jason "Still" Waters' is nervous about his naked calendar photo-shoot, he had to step in at the last moment and is worried about what his conservative family will think of him. He father has always been strict, beating him into submission and making sure he keeps his deepest darkest desires hidden until he comes face to face with photographer, Simone. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Picture Perfect Cowboy is the perfect Original Sinners novel. I loved Jason, and I loved Simone even more. Seeing Jason come to terms with his own kinkiness was sexy, and I loved how he finally managed to let go of the guilt he felt.
As always, Reisz writing is amazing. Her words always touch me, which is why her books will forever be autobuys for me.
Even for readers who haven't read the whole Original Sinners series, Picture Perfect Cowboy would work. It's a stand alone novel, even if there is a mention of Kingsley, and Søren and Nora show up at one point.

A sexy, kinky stand-alone novella from the Original Sinner series = just what the doctor ordered!

I've been on a bad streak recently with boring books that I've had to force myself to finish. Not with Picture Perfect Cowboy, baby. I couldn't put it down.

I don't love-love BDSM books, but some work for me, and this one did. I'm not a huge fan of impact play or ropes or flogging, but spanking and discipline... hells, yes! The BDSM in this book, a type of 24/7 domination in a playful, loving way, just felt right.

The story was a fast read, but it felt very satisfying. The feelings and the kink happen quickly, but the emotions and the chemistry feel real. Another winner from Tiffany Reisz.

Another great edition to the sinners series and who would have believed that a cowboy would fit into this society.

After retiring as a bull rider Jason is finally living the life he wants away from his meddling parents but he is still lonely and looking for something. When he is asked to be Mr November for a charity calander the thought scares him to death but he gets over his fear for a good cause. Somine the photographer helps him with his fear of getting naked after all she is a sub and nakedness is nothing to her, when the session finishes Jason admits he is interested in the world of subs and doms. Simone agrees to go to his ranch to introduce him to the world. As they spend time together she introduces him to her world and they start to fall for one another but do they have any chance at a relationship when they belong in different worlds

This is a well written story that drew me in and kept me reading until the very last page now I will go and read more books in this series

Jason "Still" Waters' life looks perfect from the outside money, fame, and the words "World Champion Bull-Rider" after his name. But Jason has a secret, one he never planned on telling anybody until he meets Simone. She's the kinky girl of his dreams...and his conservative family's worst nightmare. When I started reading I couldn't put it down.Tiffany Reisz is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can't wait for the next book.

I totally loved this book. This was my first story by the author even though i have heard of her other works, but after this i think i just may get on her bandwagon.
Jason has always tried to be what his parents wanted, but there is a little something hidden that once he meets Simone and she opens his eyes to what can be, this piece of him is discovered over a four day stay on his ranch. He opens up with her guidance and finds the piece of himself that he's been suppressing from fear.

I loved Simone, she was open about herself and her pleasures, her belief that wanting to be dominant or submissive was not wrong, but something to be enjoyed was refreshing. I loved how she knew herself and was not willing to settle for less than she deserved.

A fantastic read and I'm sure those who read the authors other works will love this just as much.

Who'd have thought a cowboy would fit so well into the Sinners series? Saying that, with the idiosyncratic mix of characters we've already met along the way, I guess anything goes but really, a cowboy!

This cowboy, however, was just too decadent for words. Being a retired Bull-Rider, Jason is now living a quiet life in Kentucky and he has swapped bulls for horses. He thinks his life is just about perfect but still he's lonely. Having fled from his meddling and pious parents, he can pretty much now live life as he pleases but he's still not living a life that's true to himself. When he’s unexpectedly asked to stand in as “Mr November” on a charity calendar, the thought of naked images of himself are enough to give him nightmares and you can only guess what his family would think. Jason does, however, overcome his reservations and arrives at the library ready to bare all to the world, or at least the photographer, Simone.

Simone is a pro-sub and a close friend of Nora, Soren, and Kingsley. When not working as a pro-sub, she's a photographer and because of her interest in kink, she’s more than comfortable working with naked models. Despite her confidence, however, Jason is clearly struggling with the task at hand but Simone manages to endear herself to him and before long the session is over. It’s upon leaving the session that Jason admits something to Simone that she already suspected and that is that Jason has an interest in her lifestyle, although this is something that he’s never acted upon, especially given his upbringing. When Jason invites Simone to his ranch, it’s on the clear understanding that she will help him overcome his fears which she does, and then some!

It’s not long before Simone works her magic and Jason frees himself of his reservations. As the two bond, they start to develop feelings for one another but as they both live very different lives and practically worlds apart, can they really act on their feelings for one another?

I'd originally read this story via the Exposed anthology and I couldn't wait for more from the story. I was hoping for more than a final chapter to wrap up Jason and Simone's story though. That said, I could read and re-read this book as many times as I've read all of the others. Jason was incredibly sweet and charming and Simon added the spice that his life was clearly missing. As expected, their story also includes scenes with Nora and Soren which provides readers with that little something extra from our favourite sadist and the only woman who can bring him to his knees. The only thing missing was a little King, but his larger than life personality could have overpowered the sweet and tender love story between Jason and Simone.

I simply love the Sinners series and despite this almost feeling a little like a side-step away from the original series, this story is definitely one to be savoured and relished by new and old fans alike.

Having read The Red, I was already familiar with Tiffany Reisz. She has a capability to weave an interesting story, combined with some hot scenes. As in this case with Jason 'Still' Waters, hot cowboy who is struggling with his sensuality. Being raised in a very Catholic and old fashioned way, and even beaten by his own father, he feels guilty for having kinky thoughts like spanking a woman.
And then he meets the pink haired Simone. She is a part-time prosub and she sees the conflicting feelings Jason has and decides to offer her help. But while being a slave in his house for a few days, turns out to be the most wonderful experience for her and they fall for each other.
And then reality and Jason's family come crashing in... What will Jason do with his newfound self?
Find out for yourself in this wonderful read, but not during a warm summer day: you'll get too hot! Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

A new release by Reisz, especially one in the Original Sinners universe, is always a reason to cheer. Here she returns with some of her favorite elements - BDSM (of course), horses, and beloved series regulars - in a contemporary erotic romance.

The good:

- Bi (as well as maybe pan) rep by an own voices author ❤️🌈

- Zee tropes, zey are flipped. Instead of a baby sub, endemic in the genre, we have a baby dom who is guided by a professional submissive.

- The couple's romance and emotional journey is well paced and thought out... until the end.

- Reisz is always explicitly sex positive and guilt negative, and it's a joy to read.
"This is what I think," she said. "If you're enjoying it and I'm enjoying it, then we're doing it right."

- There are cameo appearances by Nora and Soren - yum. That being said the story stands on its own, even if you've never read an Original Sinners book.

- It's small and random, but I love that speaking two languages isn't presented as weird. No "wow!" or "you're so smart!" or cultural stereotyping, just the fact that the hero knows Spanish (and the heroine has a passing knowledge, as well). This bilingual appreciates it.

The oh-so-close:

- The final conflict hinges on a misunderstanding. It's not a Big Mis, and it makes sense, but the category length (~200 pages) means it comes up and is resolved very quickly, with a facile epilogue. All the emotional beats are there, though, so yea for that.

- Reisz gravitates to shorter page counts but I like her at novel length, damn it. The characterization is so wonderful that I want to see more of everyone. Here the best friends, Luke especially, would have benefited from fleshing out.

- I love that the story is low angst... but that started giving me angst. "What's the end conflict going to be? Groupies discovering the girlfriend? A sexy video or text getting hacked? What if he forgets the condom ahhhhhh" (He doesn't, by the way. Perfect gentleman.) This is a me thing, though, and you'll probably be fine. 😅

Three cheers for Reisz in the mode I like her best. It's also a good entry point into her work if the summary and shorter length appeal to you. If you'd rather skip the BDSM try Her Halloween Treat instead.

Tiffany Reisz has become one of those authors I trust implicitly to always provide an interesting, engaging story. Cowboy story? Not really my thing, but I saw her name and had to give it a shot. And it was great! I think that Reisz's greatest strength is bringing characters to life in a way that it is impossible not to relate to them even if we have nothing apparently in common with them. So, with no real-life interest in BDSM, or cowboys, or pink hair-dye, somehow I found myself completely engaged with Jason and Simone and knowing that whatever crazy idea this author throws out next, I will be first in line to read it.

I’ve said it 100 times before and I’ll say it 100 times again - my happy place is with the Original Sinners. Being back with Jason and Simone (if you’ve read their short in the Exposed anthology you will already be familiar with them) was so great, I didn’t realise I’d missed them until I started to read this book, but I spent most of today with a big grin on my face, replaying their story and also getting the extra content.

They really are a fun couple to be with and let’s not forget incredible sexy! A retired bull rider with Dom potential?? Yes please!! I loved the heat, the tension, the uncertainty, the romance, the humour. I read the book in just one sitting so you can tell it’s an addictive read. And that ending?? I had THE BIGGEST grin on my face. It couldn’t have been more perfect.

Then add on to that we get a BONUS short story involving the fictional love of my life?? *dreamy sigh* I will NEVER get enough of Søren and Nora, and I snorted (attractive) and laughed so much throughout these scenes. Would it be incredibly awful to start a full series re-read right now? It would only be my 3rd this year... *shrugs* needs must! Enjoy Jellybean and Master D***head!

I loved this! So great to be back in the world of the Original Sinners. Simone is so, so sweet and cute. I love her personally and her interplay with Jason. The glimpses of Nora and Søren were a nice treat as well.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

I've read tiffany reisz earlier work and really loved the first two books but then they got a little too much for me, this one was kinda like that? Not quite as bad but still too far for me lol this is Jason and Simone book, Jason is an ex champion bull rider who had a very very strict father where if you touch a woman violently or even spanked you got a whooping of a lifetime! Simone is a photographer. Because of Jason upbringing he has fantasy of spanking, flogging, cane, woman but thinks it's wrong Simone has come in to teach him the way through the BDSM lifestyle! It was a well written book and hot at times just a little much for me! Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

What is better than a kinky book boyfriend? A KINKY COWBOY BOOK BOYFRIEND!! And if he is part of the Original Sinners Universe, it’s even better!!

Simone is a well-known pro-sub in the 8th circle. She’s the one who Søren used to call when Nora was not around to release his sadistic needs, but now that Mister S and Mistress Nora are living far away from NYC, she now more focused on her other profession as a photographer. Her current job is a calendar to raise money good cause and her next model is a famous cowboy in a small town in Kentucky. She expected to arrive, take her pictures and leave, but what happened was completely unexpected. Starting with Jason, he is not what she expected at all.

Jason has been THE good guy all his life. A good son, brother, bull rider—so good he has a room full of trophies—and now that he’s retired, he moved away from home to Kentucky to train horses, he is the good cowboy in town. He has a quiet life in his farm and he’s content with it. But he has fantasies, dark fantasies that go against everything he was thought by his conservative family, so he thinks every single one of his fantasies are wrong and sadly he beats himself so much about this. So when he goes to the photoshoot and finds the vivacious, candid, refreshing, and lovely Simone, with her pink hair, her tattoos, and her open mind, Jason is struck by a real world he has always thought were not real—and only reenacted in kinky porn.

I love everything about this book!! I loved the novella Watermark when it was published part of the Exposed Anthology but this long version of Simone and Jason’s story is wayyyy much better, it is more detailed, sexier, more romantic and the cameos of my beloved Søren and Nora are more amazing in this full-length novel. One of the things I loved the most about Picture Perfect Cowboy is that it showed more layers to the characters, Jason and Simone are amazing and perfect for each other.

If you are not a fan of the Original Sinners Series, you are not late for the party. You can start with Picture Perfect Cowboy—it’s completely standalone—and have a taste of the awesomeness of this universe and have a little taste of other characters of the series, and then go and start from the beginning, with The Siren.

100% recommended.
