I didn't know what to expect going into this particular book, but I ended up quite enjoying it! I always love stories with settings like these, haunting towns full of secrets and mysterious people, and this book did a really great job playing off that particular idea and setting. It was well described and I often felt as if I were there! Overall, that was definitely my favorite aspect, as I really enjoyed how atmospheric the book was. It kept me invested in both the story itself and the characters, and I couldn't wait to see what would happen next! While the book did have a bit of a slow start, at some point it gripped me and never let go.

A fun read!

I wasn't really blown away by The Eternal, but it kept my interest enough that I did finish the book. For me, the first half of the book developed very slowly; it seemed like all of these strange occurrences and dreams were happening with not many specific clues to help us figure out what was really going on.

This was a pretty decent book, I read the whole thing in two sittings, it was relatively captivating right from the beginning and I felt like the characters were written well. While I didn't connect with them fully, I was invested in what would happen.. Definitely had an interesting sci-fi twist which is different for me as I don't read much sci-fi but it kept the book interesting and kept me reading. Would recommend.

I started reading this one but didn't hold my interest. I though the concept was good but I wish I could have connected with the characters more.

The Eternal by Bianca Hunter was a really great sci-fi/fantasy novel that was really different from what I have read before. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

This was a pleasant read. The writing style is easy to follow. The book is neither fast paced, nor slow paced - a perfect balance. I couldn't get much into the main characters..especially the heroine but I had fun reading it nevertheless.

Pretty good! Started out slow to me then picks up. I had no idea where this story was going to take me! Really enjoyed it once it picked up.

Thank you to NetGalley ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I'm not sure if it was the doc but the formatting was all messed up so I unfortunately could not read the book.

I received a copy through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review!

**1.5 -- rounded up, because it has some potential.

I try so hard to finish review copies, which is why I didn't DNF this at about 20% in. I, somehow, made it the entire way through & it didn't pay off at all. As it is a review copy (& the book has already been published), I don't know if things have changed/edited from my copy to the finished copy, so I don't want to complain about the writing style. Let's just say, I didn't enjoy the writing at all.

If this book was written during the TWILIGHT, VAMPIRE DIARIES, etc. days, maybe -- just maybe, I would see this book differently. Basically, The Eternal reads as if it could be fanfiction of the stories we loved as pre-teens. Granted, there are no vampires, but instead, IMMORTALS. They don't drink blood, but they have abilities, strength, speed, and they live until someone rips their heart out.

& of course, there's the romance between lead female protagonist & mysterious male. I didn't feel any chemistry between these characters whatsoever. I. just. didn't. care. & if it wasn't for some prophecy/destined to be together trope, I'm sure she would have went after all of the other male characters, because that's the direction, it originally seemed to be heading. I really didn't care for any of the characters, to be honest. & the dialogue was so awkward most of the time.

ALSO, CAN WE STOP ASKING THE MAIN CHARACTER THAT IT LOOKS LIKE SHE HASN'T ATE IN AWHILE?! Every time her thinness & eating were brought up, I found myself extremely irked.

I just didn't care for this. I do feel that it could possibly have some potential, which is why I gave it 2-stars, instead of 1.

The cover and title is what originally drew me to this book.
“If I had known then that I would die in Greyhaven, I would have run.”

Forced to confront her worst nightmare after the tragic death of her family, Evelyn finds herself in the middle of a town that seems haunted by unexplained and terrifying events. Alone and isolated in Greyhaven, surrounded by strikingly beautiful people, Evelyn meets Blake Greyson who seems to fear nothing… except growing closer to Evelyn.

As another tragedy unfolds, chilling and malevolent events seem to follow as her dreams are plagued by the spirit of a beautiful woman. As Evelyn gets closer to uncovering the truth, there is no denying that she is inextricably tied to Blake Greyson. The closer she gets to him, the more dangerous their lives become. Faced with an ancient secret, Evelyn must overcome her fears to make impossible choices before everyone in Greyhaven pays the ultimate price.

This paranormal fantasy strikes the perfect balance between suspense, intrigue and romance.
This was my first book by this author. It was alltogether an easy read. ♡ I give this book a
4.5 star rating!

I really was intrigued about the book, unfortunately the text of all the chapters were formatted weirdly and morphed together.

Looked good though!

I liked this book, the premise was intriguing and I liked the way the story unfolded. I wasn't very attached to the characters but the story made up for it in the end.

I was given an ecopy of Eternal in return for an honest review.

Unfortunately I was unable to finish the copy before my session had expired, due to personal issues. From what I have read the book has a wonderful plot that kept me on my toes. The whole time I kept thinking about what these people were and the mystery of the town.
Overall the author did a brilliant job of keeping me guessing and wondering what would happen to the characters.

Thank you for giving me this opportunity. Until next time
Cheers.

Thank you to Bianca Hunter for a free copy of this. For all people who could not access the copy of this from Netgalley like me, Bianca Hunter will most likely send you the PDF copy as she did to me.

The Eternal was a fascinating book full of paranormal reveals and romantic gestures. However, I did not find it particulary captivating or intense, it was lighter than expected.

When Evelyn moves to Greyhaven to live with her only remaining family member, she doesn't expect the differences that it brings. Blake Greyson is one, and the strangeness of the lonely town another. Evelyn is suddenly swept into something much bigger than herself, and her only order is not to fall in love with Blake. To bad that proves difficult...

I found the romance in this book slightly unbelieveable, however the characters made up for it. Ravenna and Tristan made this book fun and interesting. I also found that the ending was the best part in terms of cliffhangers and dramatic reveals. A stunning ending to the book.

Though this book was not Harry Potter quality material, it was still fun and entertaining and the ending was a major cliffhanger that leaves we wanting to read the next book. Thank you Bianca!

(A three star rating stands for 'good' from me)

I wanted to read this.
I'm not sure if it was the formatting, but the doc that was sent to me is messed up, and the words are all jumbled together and plopped on top of each other. I could barely read a page. It's quite disappointing, as I was looking forward to this.

I loved this book, the first opening chapters weren't great but I am glad I persevered as once you got past them the book was really good and just kept improving as it went on. It's fast paced once you get into it and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I kept thinking I knew what would happen, as with a lot of books you can tell, but every time I thought I knew it took a different twist or turn. I have to admit I thought at first this was another twilight-y type book but it really isn't. It's not perfect there are a few improvements but that could be made along the way, but what is perfect, but for me it's definitely a 5 star book because I loved the story, couldn't put it down and now really need the next book. This does end on a cliffhanger. Definitely worth a look and if you had it and put it down pick it up again.
