What's not to love? It's the most magical time of the year and also happens to be my most favourite holiday. I love any story that is cantered around Christmas; it’s a time for family and friends to get together and celebrate life.

This was a fun, quick read and one I thoroughly enjoyed. I liked Nan Rossiter’s style of writing and felt as though I was a part of the magic of Cape Cod.

Sometimes you can’t see the wood for the trees. Single, Asa Coleman is learning to be a dad to his son Noah with the help of his best friend Maddie Carlson. Maddie is in love with Asa but he has no clue.

I did feel as though I was missing their back story, their history and found out after reading that these characters first appeared in The Gin & Chowder Club so perhaps in hindsight I would read that book first. Don’t get me wrong it was enjoyable but it would have been even more so if I had read it.

As Asa, Maddie, Noah and Asa’s parents begin the Christmas celebrations, Asa is desperate for his first Christmas with Noah to be unforgettable. Full of family traditions,
This was a festive and sweet story that will get you in the mood for the holiday season.

Cape Cod sounds like a beautiful place to live or visit and I found this story to be full of hope, love and family; of strength and determination and all in all a heart warming read.

I received a copy of this book through the publisher via Netgalley.

Thank you to NetGalley, Zebra, and Nan Rossiter for an ARC ebook copy to review. As always, an honest review from me.

Christmas in Cape Cod is the perfect short book to curl up with after a stressful day during the holiday season. The story takes place on Christmas Eve and Day. It’s such a perfect feel good holiday read, that you can’t help but be in a better mood after reading. The author shows us the true meaning of the season with these characters. Filled with all the quintessential holiday activities: baking homemade cookies, mulled wine, leaving food for Santa, going to church, exchanging gifts, and decorating the Christmas tree, you can’t help but enjoy yourself. So I say get a cup of hot cocoa, a few Christmas cookies and curl up with this great book on a chilly night.

This was a really sweet story about a guy and his son, and the friend that goes home for Christmas with them. Asa is a new dad to a six year old. Young, Asa does a lot of growing up and introspection on this trip to visit his family. Maddie is great with Noah, there for Asa, and missing her own family. A fast read, this is a nice Christmas Eve/Christmas story. Enjoy.

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

This was a short and sweet novella and I really enjoyed it. I think I will literally read anything set on the Cape because it is one of my favorite places I have ever been. I also get an itch around late September to read Christmas novels, so this one was definitely one I enjoyed. It was a sweet love story and I read it in just a couple of days. I didn't know before I read it but it is a continuation of a book called The Gin and Chowder Club which, of course, immediately went on my to-read list, as well as many of Nan Rossiters other books since they are all mostly set on the Cape!

This was a nice story to start the holiday with. Love is blind so they say and this male lead was no exception. His son was worth the whole book.

So early.

Aw kid, go to the bathroom first!

Is Asa new to parenting full-time?

A couple of days? Why not leave the tree up for longer?

A whole lot of drinking going on.

Are these gifts for his son or for him?

Christmas on Cape Cod by Nan Rossiter
Cute story of a father and his girlfriend and his young son as they head to the shouse on the cape for the Christmas holiday.
The little boy has lost his first father but has another one now. Love how they celebrate the holiday on the Cape and the surprises that await them under the tree.
Miss having a morning with young kids-it's a lot different than watching them via the internet. Like how this story continues with other family members in another book by this author.
Received this review copy from Kensington Books via Zebra at Netgalley and this is my honest opinion.

Christmas In Cape Cod by Nan Rossiter is a contemporary romance novella that takes place during the Christmas season. The characters from this novella first appeared in The Gin & Chowder Club by Nan Rossiter so there is a bit of character development missing but the novella is fine to read and understand as a standalone if choosing to do so.

Asa Coleman has planned a family Christmas in Cape Cod with his young son Noah and has invited his best friend Maddie Carlson to spend Christmas with his family. Asa is just learning his duties as a single father with this being the first Christmas with Noah so he wants nothing more than everything to be perfect to begin their own memories together.

Christmas In Cape Cod was a sweet holiday romance that was just chocked full of lovely holiday traditions and family. Being a spin off novella there is a bit of background missing but the lovely characters and festive spirit certainly make up for it. Definitely a lovely read coming just in time for the holiday season.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

A quick feel good story about a man, his son, and the woman who loves them. It also includes an adorable puppy so what's not to like? In the end, the guy realizes he loves the woman and together they form a family. Plus the setting is at the beach during Christmas.

This is a short, but sweet story. Asa and Maddie have been close friends since college. While it is clear that Maddie is in love with Asa, it is equally clear that he sees her as a. friend and not as a woman. The story begins with Asa’s young son waking him up iearly one morning a few days before Christmas. Noah is excited about going with his dad and Maddie to visit family for Christmas. As the story progresses, numerous hints are dropped about Noah’s missing mother and Noah’s deceased “other” father, yet none of this is ever explained. It becomes more clear at the end of the story, when readers are directed to read an earlier book to fill in the blanks. I have to admit that I feel quite disappointed that this brief novella seems to have been written as part of an effort to draw readers to purchase a book written years earlier. I was also disappointed by the fact that Maddie and Asa’s story was wrapped up in two pages, with no clear reason for shy Asa suddenly saw Maddie as a potential romantic partner. Based on the way this story was written, I believe that the author certainly had the ability to write a more satisfying holiday story,
