This is a great series. Suzanne is accused of murdering her archnemesis at the office, Liza. The knitting gang closes ranks to help solve the case, getting Maggie in trouble with her detective boyfriend who is tired of the gang snooping. The pieces of the mystery start coming together as more clues are revealed, money is embezzled, a child is at stake, and the knitting needles smoke with new projects, and Maggie embarks on a new journey. |

This is my first in this series, but it won't be my last. What an enjoyable read, and I just wonder how I've managed to miss this author. Love the characters, the mystery, and the entire atmosphere of the book says read more of these, which I intend to do. Love discovering a new for me author/cozy series. |

Only have read bits and pieces of the Black Sheep series, but I've always enjoyed the ones I have read and this one is no different. Rather thoroughly enjoyed this page turner with a lot of twist and turns to keep you engaged. Love characters and how they grow throughout the series. |

Purls and Poison by Anne Canadeo was another complex little mystery to be solved by the Black Sheep knitters. Although I am fairly new to this series, I had previously read Knit to Kill so I was a little familiar with the women, Maggie, Phoebe, Dana, Suzanne and Lucy. This time they must rally around Suzanne as her temper has gotten her into a world of trouble. The plot is quickly paced with plenty of suspects, twists and turns and red herrings that made Suzanne look very guilty. I couldn't stop turning the pages to find out what the ladies were going to do next. This is a novella but the story was complete with all the intrigue needed to keep me wrapped up in the story. I am so glad that I have found this series. |

I thoroughly enjoyed the plot, atmosphere, and characters. I would recommend the book to friends and family for their reading pleasure. |
This latest offering in the series is a solid cozy mystery. The friendship with the knitting group is the backbone of this series. The whodunit was well written and interesting. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. |

Suzanne is furious with her fellow (and biggest rival) realtor and loses her temper and her cool during a meeting with her boss and fellow realtors. When she finds her rival (whom Suzanne has complained bitterly about to everyone) dead in the office, Suzanne is the obvious suspect. Luckily, the Black Sheep knitters believe she is innocent and go to work to prove it. And Suzanne learns that she should learn to be more moderate in her reactions and opinions! |
Purls and Poison is a fabulous addition to this series by Anne Canadeo. When fellow knitter Suzanne has had it with a co worker, she has no idea that her actions and harsh words will make her a prime murder suspect. This story is really intense and it kept me reading until the very end. I love all the characters in this series and their bond with each other makes this a true hit. I'm a huge fan of this series and I can't wait until the next book is out. I volunteered to read and review an ARC of this book provided by the publisher and NetGalley. |

Reading mysteries and knitting are two of my favorite hobbies, so when I find a book that combines the two I am all in. And this is an especially good combination of a puzzling plot, good friends, a lovely setting in the town of Plum Harbor and lots of beautiful knitting yarns. Real estate agent Suzanne has a loud and bitter argument with her co-worker Liza and when she goes back to apologize she finds Liza's dead body. Someone has gone to a lot of trouble to frame Suzanne for the crime and so she turns to her knitting friends Maggie, Dana and Lucy to help solve the crime and clear her name. The characters are intelligent interesting people, the plot has plenty of twists and turns and I loved the side story of the women knitting 100 baby sweaters and hats for charity. I was hooked from the first page to the last and can't wait to read more adventures of these wonderful knitters. |
