Cathy Lamb's newest book , "The Man She Married" is a thoughtful, gripping memorable novel, one that I read in 24 hours because I was so captivated and hooked from the very first sentence. Natalie was in a horrific accident and is in a coma unable to communicate, but acutely aware of everything around her. She starts to think her husband, Zack is hiding something, she can see everything, but can't say anything. When comes out of her coma, Natalie tries to put the pieces together and in doing so she discovers secretes from her husbands past that she may not want to know, as this could put her in danger. If you love Cathy Lamb's books, you will absolutely LOVE this book. I cannot recommend it highly enough. |
As a true fan I'll tell you Cathy Lamb just keeps getting better and better and never disappoints. This was truly an amazing read as we go through the emotions with Natalie who married Zack but realizes that may be a grave mistake on her part. Natalie was involved in a hit and run which left her with a severe brain injury and not much recollection of that morning. What she does know is that someone is out to harm her for as payback to Zack and she must find out who before it's too late. Zack was an odd ball out since day one when they dated as this story line shows going from the current situation in the hospital to the past as recurring memories find their way back. He never showed much emotion nor kissed her for the first 3 months. Talk about odd right? Well, after he loses their home to bank problems and overextending they find themselves in a dire straits situation. They both have their illustrious careers but the well always seems to go dry. Odd? Even more odd is the strange occurrences that keep happening to Natalie. Her mother and father are divorced yet the mother has remarried more times than one cares to count and now she's wondering what Nat's father is up too. Oh dear! What we learn in the roller coaster ride of emotions is that Zack new more than he was revealing and it will all boil over in the end. Wow! Cathy Lamb this is superb! Thank you so much for this ARC in exchange for this honest review. |

You immediately realize from the start, that Natalie is confused about everything she thought she knew about her loving husband, Zack. Now she wonders who really is this man she married. Each page keeps you on the edge of your seat wanting to know more! If you've never read Cathy Lamb's books, you MUST read this amazing book.
