Wonderfully but together and as helpful as ever.
Great choices of book to feature with the previews as well,

As usual, I snatched this up, knowing I would love it, because I adore all the previews I get from reading Buzz Books.

One of the books that stuck out to me was The Winters. It seems to be an intense family drama, and I always love a good family drama. Not to mention the cover that looks like melting wallpaper instantly had my attention.

As a big fan of The Art of Racing in the Rain, I know I will devour The Travelling Cat Chronicles. The prologue immediately shoves you into the brain of a cat - what more could I ask for?

While I am not the biggest Barbara Kingsolver fan, I know a LOT of people will be thrilled to see that she has a new novel out, called Unsheltered.

While I'm on the topic of popular authors with new books, Diane Chamberlain also has a new book, Dream Daughter and I CANNOT WAIT. I Have loved every one of her books that I have tackled and I am excited for the opportunity to devour another.

Overall, the new reads for October are looking fantastic.

Where do I begin? This is the first time I read a Buzz Books Monthly and little did I realize what a pleasure I was in for. I read 7 excerpts from upcoming books and there was only one I didn't care for.
The Travelling Cat was a joy to read. It is told by a cat and is from his perspective. He is at once snarky and sweet. I can't wait to read it. I even read it out loud to my husband.
Dream Daughter is heart wrenching and hopeful at the same time. It also contains time travel which I am a sucker for! Can't wait for it.
Virgil Wander starts out with the main character involved in a serious accident. It is narrated by the main character and the writing is as if you were sitting with him. Beautiful expressive prose. Another one I can't wait to read.
The Winters is a modern-day version of Rebecca with some clever twists. My mouth is watering in anticipation.
Unshelved is a book about a family facing a tragedy amid changes in both economics and relationships. Sounds fascinating.
Melmoth is the one book that held no interest for me. The excerpt was very confusing and unfortunately, for me, read like verbal diarrhea
Invisible is a story told about the author's relative, a female lawyer who was an African American . She was instrumental in the bringing down of Lucky Luciano in a time where female African American lawyers were unheard of. Fascinating insight into a culture many of us are not privy to.,

October's edition of Buzz Books Monthly featured several books I've already got on my galley TBR and several that I have on hold at the library. Needless to say, it helped firm up my reading plans for the rest of the month! As I always say, you can't go wrong with Buzz Books Monthly. Helpful in so many different ways!

Another informative Buzz Books read. Great to see which new books are coming out in October. Really enjoy reading the synopsis and sample to see if it’s a good fit for me. Looking forward to the next Buzz Books!

I was a bit disappointed that some of the excerpts in this book were the same as in the Buzz Books Fall/Winter book. I had assumed that all of the excerpts would be different. Despite that, this is a great way to learn about some of the highly-anticipated books coming out soon!

Incredibly thankful for these little Buzz Books Monthly reads! I look forward to these every month to get me excited about the month's new releases (though my wallet does not love these...ha ha). Books I am excited for this month include Markus Zusak's Bridge of Clay and The Traveling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa. Can't wait to get my hands on these!

I loved this collection of book excerpts and reviews for up and coming books. I loved the previous Buzz Books collections, and once again this one had me scoping out a bunch of new books, and adding them all to my TBR. I am most excited for The Travelling Cat Chronicles and The Essex Serpent.

A huge thank you to NetGalley for sending me a digital copy of these book previews in exchange for an honest review. I truly appreciate it!

A great sneak peek of upcoming books. I now have more than a few titles to add to my October TBR. There are a few hidden gems in here that I definitely wasn't expecting.

Keep those wonderful excerpts coming. I really enjoy reading Buzz Books Monthly. There is usually something that I want to read more of (often more than one something). Sometimes there's an excerpt from a book I feel should like but find it's not really for me, perhaps because of the writing style. That's okay too. You never know, I might be more receptive to the title at another time.

As always, this is a fantastic way to become aware of new releases. I have previously found real gems among the Buzz Books' titles, and this time is no different.

Always enjoy the BUZZ. I had no idea ick Offerman and his wife wrote a book. Yes, I wished for THe Greatest Love Story Ever Told. I downloaded Virgil Wander. Sorry to see I missed Melmoth. :(
Keep the BUZZ coming!

This is only the second time I have requested this to read about the upcoming books, and I am, once again, glad I requested it. As an avid reader-albeit one who sticks to only certain genres-- it's a welcome change to read excerpts from and learn about books that I maybe wouldn't always choose for myself. I plan to continue to read these in the future!

As always, this is a very helpful resource. I especially appreciate the variety of genres and styles included among the excerpts, and the day-by-day listing of forthcoming October releases.

I love seeing these pop up because it gives me a chance to add to my TBR lists, which seem to keep getting longer and longer! From this edition, I am definitely looking forward to Diane Chamberlain’s “Dream Daughter,” especially after reading the excerpt. St. Martin’s Press has become one of my favorite publishers. “The Witch Elm” by Tana French also looks very intriguing. I’ve been fortunate to receive a few others (including J.R. Ward’s “Consumed”) as ARCs, so I’ll look forward to being able to recommend them to friends. In nonfiction, Michael Caine’s book is definitely one I want on my list; I like just about everything he’s ever appeared in. I also appreciated the “week by week” release list so I can budget my purchases :-) Thank you to NetGalley for a digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

Really enjoyed this group of excerpts. Especially appreciate The Winters by Lisa Gabriele which is reminiscent of Daphne duMaurier’s Rebecca. Thank you for publishing Book Buzz!
