The MISSadventure Brides Collection is a collection of seven stories. These stories include:
Along the Yellowstone River by Debby Lee
MissTaken Identity by Kimberley Woodhouse
Lesson of Love by Cynthia Hickey
Maddy's Llamas by Marjorie Vawter
Zola's Cross-Country Adventures by Mary Davis
Detours of the Heart by Donna Schlachter
Riders of the Painted Star by Kathleen E Kovach
I thought all of them were great. This a fun collection of mostly new to me authors. I am giving it four stars.

We all love a woman who does something incredible! This book displays seven brilliant women who all defy conventions in their time periods and societies. It was a fresh look at romance, less damsel in distress, more Miss with a mission! I couldn't possibly chose a favourite, the stories were all so wonderful.

This is a fun collection of stories starting in 1832 and going up to 1936. All of the stories are stand alone works of young women who had a dream of doing something out of the ordinary; each one succeeded but not without some interesting turns of events. A refreshing collection that I will read again with a contented sigh.

This is a book that has seven well written, clean stories in it. Each story is completely different and holds your attention. I really enjoyed all the stories. Thank you Barbour Publishing via Netgalley for the ARC copy of this book. This is my honest opinion.

A fun collection full of adventure and romance! Arranged chronologically from 1832 to 1936, these unique stories feature some spunky, brave women who breakaway from the societal norms of their time to experience life head on.

Some of the stories are more serious and have some action or a mystery involved, and some have a bit more humor when the heroines get themselves into jams. I enjoyed them all, especially Mary Davis' story of two suffragettes attempting the first cross-country road trip by women, with a couple of newspapermen following them. This was a fun one, and patterned after the real story of Horatio Jackson, who makes an appearance. Anyone who can learn to work on an engine, change tires and pull a car out of mud gets my instant admiration! They had a lot to overcome as did all of the courageous women in the other tales. I pick Harry from Marjorie Vawter's tale as the best hero. He was a great guy, kind, thoughtful, hardworking, overlooking Maddy's eccentric ways to see her solid gold heart. The one by Cynthia Hickey was good too, about the young teacher coming to a small poor mountain community; it reminded me a bit of Christy.

Recommend to fans of historical Christian romances. This is a good set to while away an afternoon or evening.

This is a compilation of seven stories from fictional women who lived in the 19th and 20th Centuries and how they were defied conventions of their time. These damsels rise above their distressing circumstances through their bravery and determination with a little help from their love interests. As compared to the other Barbour Bride Collections that I have read over the last couple of months, The MISSadventure Bride Collection has a lighter tone consistently throughout the book.

Picking a favourite story would be like picking a child. However, Cynthia Hickey's Lessons of Love had me giggling all the way through. Leah Ellison, a young teacher from the big city is schooled on the "backward" ways of the Ozark mountain community. I also loved Zola 's "can-do" attitude that sparked her cross-country adventure in Mary Davis' Zola's Cross-Country Adventure. This would be a great book to dip in and out of when in need a reader is in of a pick-me-up

This book contains 7 novellas, which are full stories. Several of them were fantastic. I personally prefer 1800's pre-automobile historical stories, so I didn't care as much for the 3 final stories that stretched into the 1900's, but I know many readers will love those.

I really loved a couple of the stories in this book, but thought some of them were a bit over-the-top with the independent women theme. I love stories of women stepping up and do what has to be done, though and a few were great examples of this. Overall another great collection and a great value as well.

A nice collection of short but fun tales of young women in the old west, who find their future husbands. Some are better than others of course, but all make a fun read. My favorite was probably "Lesson of Love" set in the Ozarks and a new teacher. In some ways it reminded me of Christy. Would recommend this collection.
