In this age of a lot of romance novels being all about the sex with no real plot, it was so refreshing to read a book that relied on the actual story and not just a bunch of porn. The story was sexy and fun, the sexual chemistry between the characters was undeniable, but it was also absolutely adorable and really well-written. I loved Remy and Sasha's relationship, but this book was made whole with the inclusion of Evie. She was seriously sweet and funny, and she added so much to the story.

I look forward to reading more stories from Ms. Nichols in the future, hopefully in the form of a story for Thorsen.

This is a cute, sweet romance. I loved the sheriff's Cajun side and the small town setting along with all the teasing between Sasha and Remy. I actually wanted more of Evie and her matchmaking. It felt like she disappeared in the middle of the book and I wanted more.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

What started as a hot anonymous kiss in New Orleans turned into a cute story of a teacher and local sheriff. This was a clean story with likeable main characters of Remy and Sasha! Add in one little matchmaker who was beyond cute and you have a likeable story that made for a good weekend read!

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my open and honest opinion.

Carrie Nichols is a new author for me. I found The Sheriff's Little Matchmaker to be a cute enjoyable story. The story-line of teacher and single parent hitting it off is not a new plot but it is well done thanks to some wonderful characterization by the author.

Sasha Honeycutt is a single teacher who loves her work but is also in need of a personal life. Tragedy in the past has her living life on the side lines. Rose Creek, Texas is her new start. Haven’ we all wanted and needed a new start or beginning at some time in our lives. Sasha makes just that but never realized how her life would change. She has issues but Sheriff Remy Fontenot is one patient man. Being sure of himself and a marvelous father makes him seem a little like Andy Taylor, which is great. Now the sheriff’s daughter is adorable besides smart. She has a few of her own “Parent Trap” moves which make the story even cuter.

This is a romantic tale the is easy on the heart and relaxing to read. Perfect for after a busy day, which enough sweetness to stay interesting but also enough sizzle to not to feel too sugary sweet. This is an author whose books I want to read more.

This is a cute must read! The title pulled me in with this one. I'm a sucker for a single dad romance. Remy's little girl is adorable. I loved the banter between Remy and Sasha. One of my favorite things about the book. Had me laughing/chuckling quite often. Another thing was Remy himself. He is delicious and I love the way he is with Sasha. A bright spot for me is Sasha's cat. I love when animals are in books. I would definitely recommend this book. It's a sweet, fun, and light-hearted story.

One dare, far from home, will have lasting consequences for Remy and Sasha – the kind that could lead to a wonderful future, but only if Sasha can put aside her fears and take a risk on another man with a dangerous career.

The Sheriff’s Little Matchmaker easily drew me in to this first story in the Rose Creek, Texas series. And one little girl with a plan, who stole every single scene she appears in totally captured my heart. Remy is just simply delicious good guy to the core. I got quite a few chuckles with his relationship with his daughter, Evie. She has daddy wrapped around that pinky tight…. and she’s not above using those eyes on him either. Evie is an old soul in a young girl, and I really hope that one day in the future we run into her again as she finds out that what she put her dad and teacher through is only the beginning of falling in love.

I really liked Sasha, she’s been through so much, yet at times she gave me conflicting feelings about her reasoning. Yet to be fair, she is risking her heart once again in what she sees as a possible repeat of what she’s lost once before, so I got her hesitation… and it’s completely in character. She, Remy and Evie make up a charming group of people who fit well together but it’s up to Sasha to be willing to take a chance on happiness.

The flair of New Orleans plays as much a part of this romance as the small town quirkiness of Rose Creek. I enjoyed the blending of the two, and you’ll get that even more as you dive into The Sheriff’s Little Matchmaker. I had fun with this story, the writing of Carrie Nichols is so smooth and easy going that I felt among friends from the start. If you love watching two people get another chance at happiness, a small fry matchmaker and some swoon worthy moves then you’ll feel right at home with this first story in the Rose Creek, Texas series. I plan to follow this series, and I’m betting that with one taste of this community, you will be doing the same.

This is a wonderful story that is cute, sweet and full of goodness and fun. I loved these characters especially little Evie and all her matchmaking ways. Remy is so fantastic and Sasha is a good fit for him although she tries to keep him at arms length. First of all he's a single dad of one of her students and that's a big no-no. Secondly, he's a lawman and she's vowed never to get entangled with one again. Been there, done that, had the painful loss to prove it. Sasha and Remy don't stand a chance when Remy's daughter Evie decides Sasha will make the perfect mom. She pulls out all the trick to get them together and she definitely makes this story. Trust me you don't want to miss this little matchmaker! I highly recommend it.

Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for this ARC. All opinions are my own.

This is the first book I have read by this author.

I give it 4 stars. It was quite short. Sweet, nice to read, I didn't put it down!
The different POVs were a bit confusing at times. Not a huge fan of those!
Well written, good characters. A bit slow at times and it felt rushed when it came to actual romance (sex).

Also, I really love the book cover!

Sasha Honeycutt needs a new beginning, but is finding old habits are hard to break. What begins with a dare becomes a jumping off point for something more. At least, that's how Remy Fontenot sees it. He just has to convince the wary beauty to make him a permanent fixture in her life. He has the perfect co-conspirator. His precociously, irresistible 7-year old daughter. She knows what she wants and is determined to make it happen. Can fate and an adorable imp wear down Sasha's hard built walls and take shelter in her heart? The Sheriff's Little Matchmaker is where sweet and heat merge to create a sweetheart of a treat.

Sasha is in New Orleans with her friends and they dare her to kiss the hot guy who has been staring at her all night in the bar.. One hot kiss and Sasha's is feeling things she hasn't felt in years but she runs out of the bar without a name or phone number.

Looking to move on with her life after the death of her husband she moves to Rose Creek and is a teacher. While Evie is an exceptional student she has been falling behind lately and Sasha sets up a conference with her parents. When Evie's dad walks in it is none other then the hot man from the bar. Remy is the sheriff in town and Sasha has vowed two things 1. never date a parent of her student and 2. never get involved with law enforcement

Remy is doing everything he can to win her over but he makes it clear that he is not the type to fall in love that love to him is not like it is to Sasha. Will Sasha be able to show him true love or will she get her heart broken?

The Sheriff's Little Matchmaker was a solid 3.5 star read for me. I found it cute and endearing with a young girl, 7, trying to match up her idolized hot new teacher with her divorcee dad. Some hemming and hawing on both sides being the only obstacle in the couples way.

Cute cast, cute story and an enjoyable read.

Solid 3.5 stars. This was a sweet, feel good, story about a single dad and a woman overcoming the lose of her husband. With the help of a precocious first grader and some hard to ignore chemistry these two leads find their way together. It is a clean romance and an easy read, I read it in a day. The story is sweet and lighthearted with characters you can relate to.

I received a free copy of this book via NetGallery in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and comments are 100% my own.

This was very sweet and the hero, Remy, was a charming Cajun with an adorable daughter. This was a light, clean, and fast read.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

The Sheriff's Little Matchmaker was a sweet, touching and gentle romance. That had an engaging storyline and likable characters, especially seven year old matchmaker Evie. Who was crafty, cute and totally adorable. And the romance between sheriff Remy and school teacher Sasha was tender, light and easy, and it made a nice change from the romances I usually read. And so if you like your romance on the gentle side you should certainly check this book out.

You will just love Evie. I love when kids meddle in matchmaking and Evie tries her very best with her single father and teacher. You can't help but love Sasha and Remy together. The Sheriff and the school teacher are a lovely combination. I love the slow burn and how slowly Remy breaks down the walls. I love how he never sees her as the poor widow and the chemistry is spot on between these two. Sasha does all she can do to hold on to her no dating parent policy but this father daughter duo work their way into her heart and she can't let them go. This is just one of those sweet feel good romances that you shouldn't pass up.

What to say about this book...
I went in with some cute expectations. There is a kid involved and a surprise reappearance-- I was so excited. Then we learn she doesn't want to be in a relationship with a police officer again. *gasp*! Things were looking to be cute and I thought the sheriff would try to win her over and show how things could be different.... I was wrong.

No, the reason she tells him they can't be together is because she is his daughter's teacher. I could run with it... until no one else cared that they might date and it was the most said thing to him. AND her reason for not wanting to date a police officer is.... a bit lackluster for how much it is hyped.

Really the I didn't see how the romance developed-- it was just him chasing her. So, I wasn't interested. But, there were some cute and few chuckle worthy moments.
