Suddenly Mine was a great read. As always Samantha Chase writes wonderful books and I loved the storyline. I highly recommend this book.

Yum!! Another Montgomery family story by Samantha Chase. This is a family that is worth marrying to get into the clan. While the book is part of a series it could easily stand alone. Challenging story dealing with the dynamics of an interfering but loving father. Highly recommend!!

Christian and Sophie come from totally different backgrounds. He's a big city businessman who spends his days drowning in responsibility. She's a small town girl who needs a fresh start. When tough choices and a bruised heart bring small town to the big city these two opposites discover they are not all that different where it counts. Suddenly Mine tells the story of two strangers trying to break free of heartbreaking pasts and create something new. Chase wards off the chill with a hint of heat, a ton of heart and some awesome romance.

Sophie is kind , strong and brave. Christian is a take charge in control guy. Christian struggles with stress and he wants to get out of his rut. Christian and Sophie have family issues they are trying to resolve. Christian was letting his Dad's expectation define him. He was giving his life to his job. Sophie comes to Cali to make a change in her life. With Sophie he feels happier and lighter. Sophie brings joy and hope into his life. They both realize to move forward they need to leave the past behind. This was wonderful romance with an added theme of self acceptance. Love this series and cannot wait for Carter's story.

What a great book!! I absolutely adored Christian and Sophie! They were perfect!

I wasn't expecting what happened to actually happen (I won't say because spoilers suck)!

I'm glad Sophie had her closure, though.

I'd love to have more on this couple in the future.

This is Christian story. The wait for the book, was worth it. He is a workaholic, trying to prove to his father that he can do great job. But this takes toll on his health, good thing that there is Sophie to help him get better. Sophie moved to California, to start new life, after she found out that people around her, lied to her. Would those two find a way to stay together? Book is well written. LOVED THIS BOOK.

Another amazing read by Samantha Chase. I really love her books and this book was no exception. Christian is burned out, he feels this obligation to always please his father and the only way he knows how is to work 24/7. After having his panic attack and Sophie comes to his rescue, it’s like a new Christian has been born. He is more care free, he’s taking time off work and he is enjoying life. Sophie might be going through a rough time as well but with Christian by her side she can deal with anything. Suddenly Mine was a great read and I can’t wait to read more of Samantha Chase’s work.

I have read all of the previous Montgomery Brothers novels, Christian was mentioned in his cousin's book. I wondered then if there was a third brother with Robert and William. I mean, there had to be right if Christian took over and was cousins to the other Montgomery boys. I was excited to read Christian's story and have a brief glimpse back into the previous boys with snippets of updates.

Christian is a workaholic much like his father and the oldest of three children. His father always pushed him to do more and be better without ever telling him "good job" or "I'm proud of you." In his mid-thirties, he has hit a wall with his career. He doesn't feel the rush. He's a robot. He keeps going until...a health scare changes everything.

Sophia Bennington is running away from her small town Kansas life after learning that her family and the entire town has lied to her about her parents. She feels that everyone is watching her and talking about her. She goes somewhere that is the complete opposite--California. She learns to surf, relaxes on the beach--everything that a small town girl from Kansas has never done before. She needs a job too. She doesn't want the same job she had before. The small doctor's office wasn't stressful like it would be if she worked in a hospital. She wants certain freedoms in her job than neither of those workplaces give her. She meets these two little old ladies who tell her about corporate nursing or wellness centers in the workplace. That's what she's focusing on except the day of her interview her car breaks down missing the thing entirely. The person interviewing her is there for one day only. If she doesn't land this job, she might have to pack it up for Kansas.

Christian has been watching the red head surfing every morning from his back deck while sipping his morning coffee. The day she finds trouble from the surfing bully, Christian is there. Sorda. He knows that there is something special about her. If only he had the nerve to ask her out. Fate steps in and brings them together when Christian's health issues arise while Sofia is in his office suite.

But can Sofia help Christian overcome his health issues and win him over or will mental barriers prevent them from being together?

Suddenly Mine is the next book in Samantha Chase's Montgomery Brothers series. While this may be one of the later books in the series, if you haven't read the previous books, you can pick this one up and dive right in.

Christian Montgomery runs the San Diego branch of the family business, Montgomery Investments. He's always been driven and has worked nearly non-stop since he was a teenager. He currently lives in his cousin's beach house and the only form of relaxation he seems to enjoy is sitting on the deck drinking his coffee and watching the yogis and the surfers. There is one particular surfer, a red head, that he'd like to get to know better, but he just doesn't have the time with his work.

Sophie Bennington needed a change. All the things she thought she knew about things that happened in her childhood were a lie and the last thing she wanted was to stay in her hometown. She picked a new city, sight unseen and moved there. San Diego was the choice and she also decided to try new things, like surfing, while looking for a job as a nurse.

Sophie and Christian meet once on the beach and while he'd like to ask her out, he just knows he doesn't have the time. Sophie ends up going in for an interview and as irony would have it, the boss falls ill while she's there and she's not only able to help, but it turns out the boss is Christian. As the story progresses and Christian and Sophie get to know one another more, she changes him in ways no one else could. Sure, some of it is from the health scare, but he finally has a reason in his life besides work.

Seeing how these two navigated their relationship was wonderful. They prided themselves on honesty and their communication was good. They wanted to be there for one another regardless what was going on and with both of them having baggage, that's saying something. This was one of those books I didn't want to put down and I applaud Samantha Chase for an awesome book!

3.5 stars

I'm not really sure what's wrong with this book that I can't give it more than 3.5 stars. The characters are fine but maybe that is the problem. They're just OK. They're a little bland that I can predict what they will do and won't do. They never surprised me. Christian is this alcoholic son who's trying to prove himself and it was obvious it'll be a problem not only to his health but to his relationship with Sophie. Sophie with her baggage and wanting to start anew was a cliche concept and it's even more cliche that she fell in love with her boss. Also the family dramas in this book is too much almost shadowing the romance.

Though I must admit the characters had gone through an amazing growth throughout the story and I liked that. Overall this is an OK read but I was hoping for more. And I almost forgot the ending is a bit underwhelming for me.

Christian is a workaholic, on the verge of being burnt out, all to earn his fathers approval. His only mode of relaxation is having coffee on his deck, people watching or rather watching a certain red haired surfing.
Sophia has moved from a small Kansas town and trying to make a go of her life in California.
I enjoyed the way the relationship develops between Christian and Sophia. Though they both are attracted towards each other from the start, they first forged a friendship before moving things along. And that friendship really supported them move on from their issues.
A sweet romance with a enjoyable characters !

Suddenly Mine is a wonderful story with loveable characters in Sophie and sometimes exasperating Christian. Their personal struggles touched my heart as they try to maneuver through some tough issues together and apart.

Suddenly Mine, was a very emotional book. Christian and Sophie worked through so much together. I think this book would make an awesome Hallmark movie.

Wow who doesn't love this Montgomery family!
This story revolves around Christian, running the San Diego branch of Montgomery's, working himself to death to please his never satisfied father Joseph Montgomery. Every morning before work he sits on his deck watching the people on the beach, but for the past month, one particular red headed surfer girl, Sophie, well she's not much of a surfer, catches his eye.
Read along as their story unfolds, I absolutely love this family! Samantha caught me completely off guard with this one!! I enjoyed each and every moment of Sophie & Christian though!! 5+ stars, grab this when it comes out!

Christian and Sophia's book is absolutely amazing! The road for them was intense and super emotional but I loved every single bit of this book. If you havent read the others you should because you totally will get this one so much more but you could read it alone as well.

Christian Montgomery is a workaholic continually trying to please his Father. Sophie Bennington is struggling with a secret that had been kept from her for years. They connect immediately but their romance is slow to develop.

This book is part of a series but if you haven’t read the others you will have no trouble following the story. It is an enjoyable story about a family and a couple trying to work out the issues in their lives to get to a happy ending. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

Samantha Chase is a new to me author, and Suddenly Mine book 8 in a series, so I didn’t know what Inwas getting into. The author did a very good job of telling the story without making a reader feel lost for jumping into a series.

Focusing on workaholic Christian and Nurse Sophie, Suddenly Mine is a great story with a lot of emotion thrown in. Both characters come with their own baggage, but the journey they take to end up together was beautiful.

This is my favorite Montgomery book yet! This book has all of the typical feel good scenes, but the real lives of Sophie and Christian made them melt my heart. These two characters both had their own personal issues to work through and they realized they worked them out so much better with each other’s support than apart. I could not put this book down and I don’t think you’ll be able to either! I can’t wait to read Carter’s story next! (I hope!)

I loved Samantha Chase’s latest book. She continues the saga of the Montgomery family by focusing on Christian Montgomery. Fans of the series will love checking in on this family and new readers won’t have any trouble picking up the series. Ms. Chase does a great job of continuing characters while telling a completely new story.
Christian Montgomery runs the California division of the Montgomery Investment firm. He lives in his cousin’s house on the beach and works long hours. His only relaxation occurs when he sits on his deck to watch people on the beach as he has his morning coffee. His attention has most recently been caught by a red-headed surfer. He knows that he doesn’t have enough time to date and is hesitant to approach her.
Sophia Bennington has left her small town in Kansas to strike out on her own in California. She loves living near the beach and hopes to find a job which uses her nursing expertise. Right now she is attempting to learn how to surf while she job searches. When she finds her ideal job, she isn’t sure how to handle her attraction to the boss.
Both Christian and Sophia have a lot of baggage which is slowly revealed throughout the story. Their romance is neither easy nor swift. Not only do they have personal issue with trust, but their personalities clash. They also have to deal with the working together part of their relationship. Ms. Chase gives them a lot to tackle and handle, but does so in a way that compels the reader to keep reading. The story doesn’t get bogged down in the detail.

It has been a while since I have read the others in this series, so it took me a while to get into this one... and then I remembered why I loved this series! Christian had been introduced in previous books (obviously they were about his family!!) and seemed like a bit of a workaholic (turned out to be true) but he is perfectly well aware of this fact...

This is a solid entry in the series, and makes me want to read the next one... which I am hoping is going to be Carter's story. Who are the meddling relatives going to fix him up with??
