When Faith wakes up in the hospital without her memory, the only thing for her to count on is Jacob. Jacob isn't taking care of her out of the goodness of his heart but rather because she has information he needs - he just needs to get her to remember it. After 6 months of rebuilding her life but still with none of her old memories, time runs out and it becomes imperative that she comes to terms with her past. I love that this book takes time to develop the characters - showing that we all have the capability of doing the right thing for the wrong reason and the wrong thing for the right reason. This author's characters are always deep and well-developed, very realistic and the kind you can get behind and root for even though they have their flaws. The story has it's twists and turns that keep the reader engaged and eager to read the next chapter. While dealing with the mystery of Faith's life, the book takes the time to work through all sorts of human flaws - from self-confidence to loneliness to family ties and how childhood continues to influence our lives. This is a great addition to my library. |
A hard night was a pleasant mix of alpha romance and suspense. This story has an H and h that are both harboring secrets and agendas that lead to a fast paced story. Both characters have dealt with their fair share of pain and guilt so this story also deals with healing, not to mention some steamy times too! I didn’t know know how I felt about the characters until everything starting to flesh out and things started to make sense and I started to relate to them. Faith/Joanne is a one firecracker/bada$$ heroine! I like the way she stands up to Jacob, mister super alpha. Did I like this book? Yep Would I recommend? Yep Will I read the next one? Yep |
Ever a fan of Jackie Ashenden’s books, I had high expectations for her novel, Hard Night. As usual, she exceeded every one. I love amnesia stories, and Jackie’s fresh spin on this familiar trope left me breathless. I was torn between wanting to get to the end to see what happened and wishing the story could go on forever. The edge of your seat suspense coupled with Jackie’s signature talent for writing scorching love scenes make this title keeper shelf worthy. Highly recommended. Keep a cold drink handy. *fans self* |

Well the elusive Jacob Night, is hotter than I imagined. I was excited to find out that he gets his own story. The wait was worth it. I can't wait to see what happens next for the 11th Hour team. |

Holy cow, a fantastic read! A non-stop, intense story that will have you biting your nails. Ms. Ashenden writes some of the best tortured heroes and Jacob is right there with them. Both he and Faith are not what they seem and while learning of their past you also see their blossoming trust. Sexy, suspenseful, and action-packed. If you have not read Ms. Ashenden’s stories, give this one a try. |
This is the third book in the series. We have met Faith Beasley and Mr. Night in the previous two so I really hope that you are following the series. In this installment we find out that Faith is not really Faith, she woke up months ago from a coma and had no idea who she was, so Jacob named her Faith. Now she is working for him but he is a little impatient now because the reason why he found her and helped her was because he needed her memory because she seems to be the only person that is linked his twin Joshua, but so far what he learning about his twin he is not crazy about. These two are attracted to each other but fighting both have different reasons why they are trying not to act on them. The minute that they do chaos ensues, Faith remembers her life, Joshua reappears we have another villian who is trying to take out Jacob..Now what? Well grab a copy and read! |
Jacob is looking for the brother he hasn't seen since he was 10 and the only woman who might know where he is has lost her memory. Faith has no idea who she is or what she's done in the past. All she knows is she is very attracted to Jacob and he is to her. He wants to keep his distance because he doesn't know how she fits into his brother's life. Then when people are trying to kill her he realizes what she means to him. Great romantic suspense and red hot romance. |
Jacob was in Black ops now he owns a billion dollar security company called The 11th Hour. A company that takes on any and all bad guys. Jacob is the man behind the scenes. He has been searching for his brother for years, they were put in foster care and separated. Faith is believed to be his brother’s lover. She has amnesia and can’t remember who she is. Jacob takes her home with him and she starts to work for him. But when he past catches up with her, Jacob hides her and decides to force her memory. Jacob is a loner and doesn’t think he deserves to be happy. Can Faith convince him he does? Wow...action, sex, and suspense. A little hair pulling and a man who likes his sex a little rough. This is the third book in the series and can’t wait for the next one. * Voluntarily read and reviewed this for Netgalley * |

Sexy and hot, I loved this book. The 11th Hour series is about tough former special ops that step in to help when no one else can. It was created and is run by the mysterious Jacob Night, who, until now, we didn't know anything about. Hard Night tells Jacob's story and background, which is tough, raw, and gritty. It takes a damaged soul to create such a company, however, we also learn the company's true purpose, which I never could have guessed. Faith is a women with amnesia and no recollection of who she is or how she was injured in the incident that stole her memories. Jacob finds her in a hospital and brings her home to help care for her and, hopefully, restore her memories. He claims to be her cousin, but nothing Jacob does is altruistic and the reason he brings her to his home is dark and secretive. This is an engaging book that I couldn't put down. It hooked me from the first page. I loved finally learning Jacob's story and how it intersected with Faith's tale. This novel is raw and rough, and fans of the genre will love this book. Put this one at the top of your TBR list as this is a must read. The author is on my must read authors' list. |
