This was a very interesting, almost Sci-fi like read. As a practising Catholic I was very interested in the concept of women becoming priests. I think it should be allowed, but it never will be I think anyway. Regardless of the truth of facts behind these scenarios this made for a good read. Women priests being murdered, shortly after they are ordained, who would have thought it. Through a mixture of murder, mafia and shady dealings so many different storylines culminate in a very solid ending. The characters are well written and with sufficient depth to make this take a plausible possibility is the very distant future perhaps. Well done Roger Kazanowski on an interesting look at the Catholic church and what could quite easily happen in the future Catholic church.

An excellent novel in that it seamlessly crosses genres so well. A romance between a (female) Catholic priest and aspiring artist sets the stage for introducing the workings of the Catholic Church, the art world, the mafia, and international clandestine services. Sounds like too many strands to pull together, but the author pulls it off so successfully that one only hopes that a sequel is in the making.
