Cam is the last single man in his group of hockey players on his NHL team Chicago Aces. He doesn't believe in love or dating a woman long term. Never one to turn down a bet of date a woman for two months and don't fall in love, its on with Olivia. Olivia and Cam were cute together as they both fought falling in love with one another.
Their first few dates are hilarious. I literally snort laughed reading the craziness that Jamieson thought up. I was so sad that this is the last in the Aces series, but at least the reader got to see all the past couples

Cam is an NHL player for the Chicago Aces and is also a player with the ladies. So when his teammates bet him that he can’t date the blond at the bar for 2 months without falling in love ... well, he can’t pass up an easy win. After Olivia goes on a couple of dates with Cam, she finds out about the bet and agrees to play along, so that Can can win.

I loved this book! This is the best one in the series. There first date was sooo funny, I was rolling on the floor laughing. I could just feel the chemistry between Cam and Olivia burn up the pages. The banter between them just seemed so realistic. I also really enjoyed the history lesson on the Stanley Cup and Chicago. The only negative was .... having to say goodbye to the Chicago Aces Series! Not only do I highly recommend this book, I also recommend the whole series.

I have read many of Ms Jamison’s books, but I didn’t know she was from Winnipeg. Now I know why a lot of her players were Canadian and she referenced a lot of Canadian cities. Being a fellow Manitoban, it makes me proud!

Sporty, Sexy, and Sweet!

Game On is a passionate, lighthearted RomCom about the focused, determined Olivia who has no problem going on a few harmless dates with a hunky athlete if it means some free publicity for her children’s foundation and the hard-bodied, delicious Cam who’s so happy being a bachelor that he has no problem betting on his ability to not fall in love.

The writing is crisp and light. The characters, including all the supporting characters, are charismatic, fun-loving, and kind. And the plot is the perfect blend of heat, drama, emotion, humour, sassy banter, chemistry, friendship, love, and hockey.

Game On is the eighth and final story in the Aces Hockey series, and even though it’s a little bittersweet to say goodbye to the characters we’ve come to know and love from the previous novels, it is nevertheless a fabulous ending to a superb series that I will undoubtedly miss.

Sadly, the last book in the Aces' series is one of Jamieson's more mediocre books- thanks largely to what I found a mediocre leading man. Cam can be sweet and thoughtful, but also immature and too cocky for his own good. He seems to think it's a winning combo. The premise of the book doesn't give you much to like about either character- he plans to date someone for 2 months without falling in love to win a bet, Olivia has no plans for dates or relationships but goes out with Cam to get him to be a spokesperson for her charity. As soon as he agrees, she tries to stop seeing him. You have to admire them for (eventually) being up front with each other about their motives but it's a clear case of them both having life plans and not listening to their instincts when their hearts try to change things up.

I think one of my main issues was the lack of depth to Cam. Until the very end we don't know why he doesn't do relationships. We don't get to see much depth to him until the end. While what we got ended up being well done, I wish we had gotten it earlier in the book because I would have been less frustrated with Cam. Both end up being emotionally damaged people who figure out how to make things work, a reliably excellent, traditional Kelly Jamieson trait. And the hockey scenes once the Aces get to the playoffs (especially the end scene, which I admit to crying over!) could only be written by a true hockey lover.

Frustrating characters until we get to know them, but a good overall book and an especially excellent ending scene for both the book and the series.

Fabulous. A perfect blend of romance, fun, drama and sports. Cam doesn’t like to lose, ever. When he is bet that he can’t date a woman for 2 months and not fall in love, well, he takes that bet knowing relationships aren’t his thing. Olivia is surprised when Cam approaches her at the bar and even more shocked when she agrees to a date. Well, she does need a celebrity spokesperson to help her charity, Move Chicago. Now, these two have the best first date ever that ends in the most unexpected way. Taking a chance for a second date is a gamble for both of them. Truly, this surprised me in the best way and built a great foundation for how these two just naturally connected. Of course, there are challenges along the way. Olivia believing no one will believe she measures up for love and Cam, well, he is afraid of it. As the hockey season gets more intense, can these two find a path to love? It was a great ride for me that a thoroughly enjoyed. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

This is the first book I have read by Kelly Jamieson but it will not be the last. I now have to go read the rest of this remarkable series. Each book seems to be able to be a stand alone as this is the last book in the series and I could grasp everything that happened. The story was fast paced with lots of hockey and the slow realization that things that are worth it must be worked for to achieve. I truly loved the characters and the emotional turmoil that occurs.

What do you get when you cross a klutzy, beautiful, rich girl with a cocky, gorgeous, wealthy hockey player? You get an incredibly funny, sweet, hot story called Game On by Kelly Jamieson. With lots of hockey playing and hockey players this book is chocked full of Chicago history, hockey moves, and cheesy pick up lines that will leave the reader laughing and ready to grab their foam finger and hit the rinks. Jamieson’s brilliant writing is entertaining and had me laughing and hoping that the main characters find a way to stay together. Even though Game On is the last book in the Aces Hockey series Jamieson promises it will not be the last hockey book that she writes, which is AWSOME because she is just too good at it. Game On is worthy of a hat trick and all 5-stars.
Olivia Lockwood needs a celebrity to promote her non-profit organization to keep the donations coming in. Cam Brickley needs the gorgeous blond at the bar to go out with him to win one bet then to date him for two months to win another. One disastrous date turns to two and the duo might just be hooked, but it’s only to get what they need from the other, or is it? It’s all about donations for the kids and winning a bet, but what happens if they actually have fun together? What happens if the chemistry between Cam and Olivia is so off the charts that neither one of them can stand to be away from the other? What happens when one bet and one non-profit organization needs two people the way they need each other? It’s Game On!

Dual POV, sports romance with low angst, some miscommunication, and a happy ending.

While I enjoyed the fact that the "bet" was disclosed pretty early on, and I liked the cameradie between Cam and his teammates, and I really liked that even though this is the 8th book in a series I haven't read before I had no trouble following along...Game On just wasn't my cup of tea.

Olivia's near constant "I'm not worthy" refrain, the way the two don't recognize they're actually falling for each other, the aftermath of the bet ending, and how glacially slow the pacing of this book was...none of it made this enjoyable for me, but mostly I just found the character of Olivia utterly exhausting.

I hope you enjoy it more than I did.

A refreshing take on a trope that's been done and done again. Overall, the story is pretty lighthearted with terrific wit, and the author's use of sarcasm is right up my alley. We also get some great chemistry between Cam and Olivia, including plenty of steamy goodness. In the beginning, I wasn't sure I was going to like Cam, He's that guy, the one who always gets his way, is good at everything, and has no concept of failure. However, as the story progresses, it's impossible not to fall for that charm and cocky attitude, especially with the amount of personal growth for our sexy playboy. Game On winds up the Aces Hockey series, but does stand on its own. And props to the author for including some exciting and nail-biting game play in this sports romance. Kelly Jamieson has knocked it out of the park with this one, and I'm excited to see what she comes up with next.

4 stars!
I love all of Kelly Jamieson's hockey romance books and I loved the Aces! I am sad that this is the final book in this series. I did love Cam and Olivia's story though! They were super cute from the start. 2 peas in a pod. Neither wanting to fall in love, and not knowing what to do when it happens. They were funny and quirky together and it made me fall in love with them!

I love this series and this installment is no exception. For me at least, at nine books and counting, the Aces hockey series is wearing well.

Hockey star Cam meets cute with reluctant heiress Olivia, who runs a struggling non-profit organization bringing health and fitness to kids. He wants to win a bet with his friends involving dating Olivia; she needs a spokesperson to up her organization's profile. They have magical dates that end in catastrophe of the hilarious type and I enjoyed reading about these less-than-perfect steps on the road to their inevitable HEA. There's even a cute dog, never a mistake in romance.

This being Kelly Jamieson, there is a little bit of social justice teaching, this time a short scene on toxic masculinity, but that's better than the mini lecture in another of her books on trickle-down economics. I rarely agree with her when she takes these tangents but that's not necessary to enjoy her story-telling. Just sayin'.

The ending almost reads like a family reunion as we catch up with characters from throughout the season (and the spin-off series, Bayard Hockey). It's a great payoff for fans of the series. Highly recommend.

Endearing characters, provocative plots and steamy romance have made this a very appealing series, even if the reader doesn't like or understand hockey. Game On is the final book.

Except for Cam Brickley (Brick) most of the Chicago Aces NHL hockey team now have wives or girlfriends, and Chaser, Brick's best friend, wants his buddy to be happy and find a woman to love. Some of the couples came together because of a bet, something the guys love to do, so Chaser bets Cam "You can't see the same woman for two months in a row without falling in love with her." Then Rico adds "I bet you can't pick up that hot blonde over at the bar." And so his two friends set the stage for Cam to find love, if he is not afraid to recognize it. The "hot blonde" is Olivia Lockwood, heiress to Lockwood Industries. She has been burnt by guys using her to get to her family, had to fight to build self confidence in a very competitive family, and is not looking for love. She wants nothing to do with the family business and has used part of her trust fund to start a children’s charity, Move On Chicago, which she thinks he would be the perfect spokesperson for. While they start out, looking to use the other person, as they spend more time together, confess the reason for the first day, they find they want more than just friendship. In addition, the author adds a fascinating oral tour of old Chicago.

I received a free advanced copy of this book from the NetGaalley.com. This is my inbiased and voluntary review.

The socks I received today pretty much describe this book perfectly.. “Oh hell yes!” I loved every page from beginning to end. So hot and entertaining! I didn’t want it to end. An epic read that you’ll want to read over and over again. Would definitely recommend!

This is the final book of the Aces Hockey series.
I enjoyed this sweet and sexy story. Cam and Olivia meet because of a bet. Olivia not knowing about the bet at first decides to use his sports celebrity status to help her kids foundation. Their first encounters were very entertaining. Comedic situations happened during their first dates which were fun to read. Cam's flirting with Olivia was so funny and sexy. She kept calling him a 'perv' with a smile on her face. I thought it was sweet that Cam liked to make her smile. Though the relationship did not start honestly you could tell they began to care about each other early on.
I have not read the previous books, but the author did a good job in introducing those other characters without it feeling overwhelming. I am interested in learning about the other hockey players and the women who tamed them.

I absolutely love Game On!
Get ready hockey romance fans because this is a fantastic story, with characters that you will love and moments that will have you laughing.
What starts as a bet among those tough hockey plays ends with Cam having his legs pulled out from under him by the sweet and sassy Olivia! The same is true for Olivia. She doesn’t want another relationship after the last one she experienced, but slowly Cam works his way into her heart.
Their first couple of dates don’t exactly go smoothly but those moments seems to bond them from the beginning. They have fun together and simply enjoy each other’s company. Yes, they definitely have chemistry, but they really have so much more to offer each other than that.

Taking a bet is probably one of the worst reasons to introduce yourself to a woman/man, but that is exactly what Cam does. He believes that there is no way he will lose the bet, because he doesn't fall in love, and he only has to date her for two months. A piece of cake. Olivia has sworn off men due to her ex, but when she realizes who the man that asked her out is, she accepts. He can help her and her nonprofit organization.
Their first day goes horribly wrong, as does their second. Even though she has gotten his agreement to consider helping her by being a spokesperson, she can't seem to stay away from him. She believes that they can remain just friends. Until they kiss.
As they spend more time together and get to know one another, things start shifting and Cam ends up confessing about the bet. She gets upset, but agrees to help him win. They make an agreement that they will stay together and end things at the end of the two months. Two months doesn't seem like long, but as he does more and more things that let her know his cocky attitude isn't all it seems, she starts falling. And hoping.
When the two months are up, will Cam want to continue or will he walk away? When she confesses something to him and he reacts in a negative way, will she give him a second chance? Why is Cam the way he is (he says he can't fall in love). The reason is actually sad, but is it a true assessment about his feelings? Will Cam realize that he does love her and try to make things right or is his past too much for him to overcome?

When his teammates issue the bet of all bets, Cam Brickley knows it's one he has to win or he will never live it down. They want him to turn in his Lothario card, and take on a more respectable stance when it comes to the ladies, you know, keep the same one around for two months straight. Cam gladly accepts the bet, cause he is certain that he won't be bitten by the love bug, but then again he never expected to meet a woman quite like Olivia Lockwood.

The moment these two meet the sparks start to swirl, but they are both determined to not let love in, so they try to keep their feelings under wraps. It's just two months of fun they have to endure, to stick it to his teammates, and then their done. Seems easy enough right?

Game On is a sexy little page-turner that is certain to awaken the feels, give a nice little tug on the heartstrings and have you smiling throughout! This can't miss addition to the Aces Hockey series had me hooked from the first page, these determined lovebirds wandered on to the page and I couldn't help but get wrapped up in their journey. They had me giggling and swooning from start to finish! Highly recommend you get yours hands on this one, it's pages are filled with humor and heart!

I’ve never read anything by this author before so I didn’t know this was #8 and the final book in the series. I actually really enjoyed it. I didn’t feel lost not having read the previous books so that was good. Cam and Olivia are smoking hot together and I loved her non profit company that she runs. There were a lot of great moments in the book. I also liked the writing, I finished it in a couple of hours. I might even check out the other books in the series, some of the other players had me all kinds of intrigued.

This book was a cute easy read. Although some of the moments were a bit predictable it was still The perfect book if you are looking to escape reality with a cast of likable characters and laugh out loud moments.
