I received this copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a cute board book that is perfect for young animal lovers. It introduces them to creatures they might not be familiar with. At the library, I get requests from caregivers for board books with “real pictures” all the time, so I am happy to have another book to give them.

This book provides exactly what you'd expect from a board book: photos of cute baby animals. The Great Bear Rainforest is unfamiliar to most of us, so it's unique in that way.

This book will never be on the shelf. The babies in the pictures are totally adorable and the kids will just love them.

This board book is filled with pictures of the cutest babies living in the Great Bear Rainforest. I have to agree with many of the other reviewers that another sentence telling something about the animal may have added to the learning experience. I read this to my grandchildren (ages 2 & 5) and they both enjoyed it. My grandson kept asking me questions that I could not answer though. This would definitely spark the interest in an older child or reader to find out more. If you are talking about conservation, what better way to get the interest in that topic than showing cute, baby animals that live in an area. The photographs are stunning, taken by Ian McAllister, who actually lives in the Great Bear Rainforest. A great book for a pre-school or kindergarten classroom. The publisher, Orca Book Publishers, generously provided me with a copy of this book to read upon my request. The rating, ideas and opinions shared are my own.

Babies of the Great Bear Rainforest is a cute enough concept for a board book. Each two-page spread features a lovely photo of a baby animal on the left with its name printed on the right. I would have loved to have seen a bit more than just the name beside each image - even just a brief sentence giving some info about each animal baby would have been nice. Regardless, I suspect this book will be very appealing to animal-loving toddlers.

Thanks to NetGalley and Orca Book Publishers for providing me with a DRC of this book.

Nice intro to the rainforest and it's baby inhabitants! Lovely photos! I think littles will enjoy a look-see with mom, dad, or other care giver.

Ian McAllister is always popular at our store and I am very excited to be able to add this children's book to our shelves! Phenomenal photography, as always by McAllister, connects young readers to the natural world around them, and hopefully fosters a love for the environment that will last for years to come!

Thank you NetGalley and Orca Book Publishers for the DRC.

This board book is filled with pictures that will put you into cuteness overload!
I will admit I thought with a location name like Great Bear Rainforest I was expecting there to be many many baby bears (only 2 baby bears in here not counting the cover).
And I would have preferred a little more information on the pages instead of just the name of the baby animals pictured so this could have been more of a learning experience.
He still managed to spark my interest in learning more about the Great Bear Rainforest and all the adorable animals that live there, job well done!
The moments captured are lovely and unforced, so it made sense to learn the photographer lives in the Great Bear Rainforest.
