Wow! This book captured me from page one and kept me enthralled right until the last page, action packed throughout. The characters were all great especially Franny, Alice and Alfie, I loved seeing Alice grow from an innocent terrified young girl to a confident and strong young woman not afraid of anyone and willing to sacrifice herself to save others. Can't wait for the next one!

Now here is a author that does not disappoint!
If you want a book that's full of Turmoil, twists and turns, great characters, etc.......this is a book for you.

Fatal by Jacqui Rose is the second book following the lives of Franny and Alfie and you will find more out about them that were in her first book called Toxic.
This book kept me gripped and I didn't want it to end.
Confession Time - I did shout out aloud in some parts of this book with Alice Rose. I wanted to get inside my kindle and shake her! lol

Jacqui Rose is a brilliant author and I highly recommend all her book. They are all enjoyable and very hard to put down.
You will be hooked! Looking forward to the next book in the series, especially as this book ended which was just brilliant.

Big Thank you to Avon books and NetGalley for a ARC.

Big 5 Stars for this Book.

This book packs a punch and follows on with the lives of Franny and Alfie from Toxic, the previous book. The action is non stop and a mixture of violence, chases and plenty drama. If I am honest, just a bit too violent for me but a good read despite this. A very good gangster book with an insight into the personal lives. of the characters. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC. Reviewed on Facebook and Goodreads.

Take a few Mafia type gangsters and pit them against a young version of Julie Andrews in her role in "The Sound of Music", and what do we get? A sometimes violent thriller which keeps a steady pace through out. However, I was unable to relate to Alice (the Julie Andrews character) as for a 16 year old she occasionally took on the role of Superwoman, but was also incredibly naive. Despite all this this, I was hooked and kept reading with plenty of (well described) action, so in that regard, author Jacqui Rose did really well.

Franny Doyle never thought that she would be turning up on Alfie Jennings new Essex doorstep begging for help and protection. The notoriously violent Russo brothers (Nico, Salvador and Bobby are after her and they don't take no for an answer. The brothers will stop at nothing to get their quest. Cabhan has gone to work for them even though Albie had warned him not to. He is traveling with Nico's daughter when she crashes the car. When Cabhan comes round, he discovers that she has died and that there are drugs in the door panels. He gets rid of the drugs so that he can call for help. The Russo brothers want back every penny for the drugs.

This is the second book to feature Franny and Alfie but it's the first book by this author that I have read. I did find it a bit confusing at times and the similar names (Albie & Alfie) did not help. The pace is fast but there are lots of characters to keep up with. I think it would have read better if I had read Toxic first.

I would like to thank NetGalley, Avon Books UK and the author Jacqui Rose for my ARC in exchange for an honest review..

This is the second book following the lives of Franny and Alfie. It adds to the back story if you have read Toxic but this could be read as a stand-alone.
Franny owes everything to Cobhan so when he reaches out to Franny for help as his former employers are trying to kill his daughter Alice Rose.
I really enjoyed this story and it would be an excellent book for holidays. It doesn’t end how you think it will which definitely makes it a step above others in this genre.
Thanks to Avon books and NetGalley for a ARC.

I’d like to thank Avon Books UK and NetGalley for letting me have a copy of ‘Fatal’ by Jacqui Rose in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Cabhan Morton works for the Russo family and wants to leave to bring up his sixteen-year-old daughter Alice Rose, but the Russos want two millions pounds from him for cocaine he destroyed in a car crash. Cabhan is given the money by Franny Doyle but the money belongs to small-time gangster Alfie Jennings and his partner Vaughan and they need it. Alice Rose is putting their lives in jeopardy by believing Nico Russo is her friend and confides in him their whereabouts, but Nico is running his empire from a prison cell and wants Alice Rose dead. To escape from their clutches, she joins forces with Abel, an old enemy of the Russos, Alfie and Isaiah Thomas, her friend in Mississippi who can do anything with computers.

‘Fatal’ carries on from where Jacqui Rose’s previous novel ‘Toxic’ finished but can be read on its own without losing any of the story, and I found it far more exciting than ‘Toxic’. The plot is gripping, it has intrigue, lots of twists and turns, some very repulsive characters, it’s bloodthirsty and gruesome - and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I look forward to the next one.

Fatal was pretty intense at times and as a carry forward from the previous title Toxic, it was packed with action and little fires.

Fatal is the 2nd book in this series after Toxic by Jacqui Rose and you find out just why Franny Doyle didn't return home to Alfie Jennngs with his 2 million pounds. After getting involved with the brutal Russo brothers Cabhan turns to Franny for help after he realises that his daughter Alice is in danger also and when they return to the UK and to Alfie things start to get nasty for all involved.I don't think this book is no where near as good as the first as I think it just lacks that certain spark and just seems to drag certainly for the first half of the story.I may well be in the minority having read other reviews but for me Fatal is a good 3 star read at best.

This book follows directly on the first book, Toxic, and I would sincerely advise you to read the first book first. You will miss references to the first book otherwise.
The story started in Toxic continued in Fatal, and it was another thrilling read by this talented author!
Highly recommended.

An unbelievably fast paced thriller whose storyline is brutal but brilliant.

In Toxic, Franny ran off with Alfie’s money, in Fatal we find out the reason why.

Excellent read, highly recommended.

Wow, what a brilliant book.
Nico, Salvadore, and Bobby Russo are three brothers, twisted, dark and will stop at nothing.
Cabhan had gone to work for them even after the warning from Albie not to.
Cabhan is traveling with Nico's daughter when she crashes the car and dies, when he comes round he finds drugs in the door panels, he needs to get rid of them before he can call for help, so he releases it into the air.
The Russo brothers demand he pay back every penny, so he contacts Albies wife Franny, who takes it to him but it is not enough, Cabhan has a vulnerable 16-year-old daughter Alice Rose living in America who only knows convent life and god. Nico wants an eye for an eye and Alice must die..
At the hands of the Russo brothers, Cabhan is in a coma in the hospital so now it is left to Franny, Albie, Lola, and Bree Albie's girlfriend to protect Alice Rose.
They move her from place to place but they are continually found by the Russo's ending up in London England, not realising that Alice rose had befriended Nico who she talks to constantly on the phone telling him each time where she is, he tricks her into thinking he is her dad's friend and wants to surprise him with a birthday party. she doesn't know he is the one that wants her dead and that he is in prison.
Eventually, Alice Rose and her protectors turn up at Abel's house, he has mourned his wife for many years, not left the house or spoken to anybody after the Russos, raped and tortured her in front of him as they believed he had stolen money from them. She hung her self at the house killing herself and their unborn child. He has never got over it and cannot get peace until he gets his revenge, bringing down the Russos and making them all suffer as he has.
Abel trusts Alice Rose and when Franny and Bree are taken hostage by the Russo brothers and held in a cage in a warehouse in appalling conditions, they team up together to bring the Russos down.
Alice Rose has a friend in America Isiah who is a computer nerd and knows all there is to know about systems, and how to access prohibited areas. They make a plan........

This book kept me gripped to the end, it was a turmoil of ups and downs, violence and drama.
Jacqui Rose is a very talented storyteller and i recommended you will really enjoy this unputdownable book
Thank you NetGalley

After finishing Toxic, I was eager to find out more about Franny and just why she appeared to betray Alfie, so the second I had an opportunity to read Fatal, I took it, as I got to see elements of Toxic from another point of view - while setting up another action packed story in its own right.

In fact its only after finishing Fatal, that I've just glanced at some of the other blurbs of books by Jacqui Rose and realised that all the books and characters are all inter-related, which if that carries on being the case may mean I am now a complete fan of the author, as I am already curious to see what happens to some of the main players next.

I found I liked the characters a lot more this time, possibly as I already was following the connections between them a bit more, and although they are gangsters they are people too, and they really did feel a lot more human this time.

Alice Rose, its 16, and due to the way she has been brought up, has a very strong belief in God, and can quote the bible - normally that is something that would have me running for the hills but as the book progressed and she grew into the new life that was being thrust upon her, she really grows, and I have to admire her guts.

The pace is relentless, its frenetic and there is always something going on, the perspective being changed, and although there is a large amount of characters, I was able to keep up reasonably well with the various threads.

There is something just utterly addictive about this book, and I couldn't stop turning the pages, and my adrenaline was still pumping from the action after I turned the last pages.

Thank you to Netgalley and Avon for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily,

Absolutely brilliant fast paced thriller. I was hooked from page one right to the end. Jacqui Rose delivers once again. Gangsters and brutal murders (although not too brutal) in true crime thriller form. I highly recommend it. Definite five stars. Thanks Netgalley and Bookouture for allowing me to read this book.
