Stitched with Love is a collection of nine historical stories. These stories include:
Tumbling Blocks by Andrea Boeshaar
Old Maid's Choice by Cathy Marie Hake
Jacob's Ladder by Pamela Kaye Tracy
Four Hearts by Sally Laity
Marry for Love by Janet Spaeth
Basket Stitch by Cathy Marie Hake
Double Cross by Tracey V Bateman
Spiderweb Rose by Vickie McDonough
The Coat by Tracey V Bateman
I enjoyed this collection. The stories are sweet, clean and delightful. My favorite story would be a tie between Vickie McDonough's Spiderweb Rose and Tracey V Bateman's Double Cross.
I give this collection four and a half stars.

An other wonderful collection of short stories that warm your heart and bring a smile to your face. This collection would be a wonderful book to curl up with this winter while the snow falls. Or to give as a gift:-) I enjoyed reading about maidens in distress, & ranchers who've no idea they are about to be tumbled head over boots for a little ol' thing in petticoats:-) If you enjoy preachers, ranchers, bronc busters, or school superintendents this book has them all. While the ladies range from widows to young girls. All in all something for all ages in the love department.

Although I'm not a great sewer, I admired these women for their talents! I enjoyed the stories and how they tried to feature stitching. The WWII story was a surprise, not many set their stories post-war.

A wonderful collection of stories centered around the art of sewing, this is a perfect companion to the fireplace and a comfy chair. Filled with sweet, Godly stories of women and men seeking the person who will make them whole, these historical romances are short and perfect for a single setting read.

A sweet collection of love stories, which is usual in this type of collections. I loved most of them, others were just okay and the stories tie in well with each other. Over all, an enjoyable collection of stories.

Armed with an abundance of blue ribbon authors, Barbour Publishing put out a book that also coincides with my other major hobby--sewing. All nine novellas have been previously published in smaller anthologies. All nine novellas are just amazing. Some weave quilting into the plot, and some weave clothing sewing, and both are interesting for me.

All of the stories take place in the 1800s except for one which is a post-WWII story. All of these stories involve finding the true loves of the ladies' lives.

Like I said, all have been published before, and I have included the other titles they were published in. All of them are worth Five Stars, which makes Stitched with Love a Five Star, two thumbs up, and a quilt made with wisdom and prayer.

My thanks to Barbour Publishing for allowing me to read and review this book.

I have always felt that romance stories are hard to pull off in a short story. Even harder is a christian romance.
This collection did try very hard to pull it off. Especially as the stories were linked and set in one place..
And so for me the problems lay more with length than execution. Recommend if you want to try it. But it is not as satisfying a read as a novel
3.5 stars
Thanks to netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to read this.
This is my honest review

Some of the stories felt a little dated and forced, but the stories I read were interesting. I like that they used different patterns.

Stitched with Love is a collection of stories that are broken down into 3 somewhat overarching plots with 9 interlinked courtships. That was a mouthful.

Let me explain.

The first four stories focus on four ladies (Elsa, Betsy, Samantha and Diane) based in Hickory Corner, Ohio. They are part of a ladies' sewing club organised led by their pastor's wife Mrs Tidewell. She leads the group following the exhortation in Titus 2 that requires older women should mentor younger ones in the church. Then you will meet Deborah, Louisa and Rachel Lee's romances are based on the Stafford Ranch in No Man's Land (a strip of land between Kansas and Texas not claimed as a territory by the U.S. Government). Lastly, there's Leah leaving in post-WWII Chicago who is a descendant of Brigit a tomboy from the Dakota Territory.

All these stories revolve around the art of sewing which lands them in situations that require them to show their skill (or lack thereof). In the long run, each of the stories leaves the reader with the impression that each character will find the right man; who will be able to bear their idiosyncrasies (case in point: read Louisa's story in Double Cross).

My favourite short stories were Tumbling Blocks and Marry for Love which had me in stitches! Shaune Gerhard's quick wit and sense of humour in Tumbling Blocks made me wish I could meet him over a cup of coffee. While Brigit in Marry for Love reminds me of myself. Special recognition goes to the authors for coming up with the Testaments!

Readers will enjoy that the richness of the characters and how sewing enabled them to forge lasting friendships. Stitched with Love is one of those books that you will enjoy as a pick-me-up or as a palate cleanser.
