I absolutely adored this book which stayed with me long after finishing it.

After the death of Hannah's boyfriend Santos, she decides to start life again in the quiet Cornish town of Pethporro in the old house that her estranged grandmother left her. A quiet life is not what she is going to get though. One man in town is convinced that he is the rightful heir to her property, and she is determined to keep him away from her and the house...easier said than done when he is persistent...and devilishly handsome! Will Hannah be able to keep her distance and her heart? Or will Raphael get everything that he wants?

I loved the story line which bought out all the emotions in me! I got angry, I nearly cried, I laughed out loud and I smiled...A LOT. This is such a heartwarming and lovely story, and I loved that it was set at Christmas, a sparkly and magical time of year. There's always something about Cornwall that captures my heart, but this time it was a very rainy, miserable Cornwall! Not only is there the storyline of the main characters but a bit of a mystery around Hannah's grandmother that will keep you on your toes too...

The characters were fantastic! Hannah is a strong, independent and stubborn young woman. She is absolutely amazing and selfless, and I felt so sorry for her at times because she went against everything she felt just because of the things she'd be told. She's been through so much and it's so hard for her to deal with the feelings she's experiencing. Raphael is a somewhat grumpy and standoffish man, but with a certain charm about him that you can't help but love. I don't want to say too much about him though!! My favourite character was Lizzie though - I absolutely adore her! What a brilliant, wholesome and wonderful character. She made me smile throughout the whole book, although maybe not when she first appeared!

Honestly, I adored this! It's a warm, cosy beautiful heartwarming story with characters that I adored, a mystery that needed uncovering and moments that will have you laughing out loud. 100% recommended by me.

This is a good modern fiction love story. When her fiance dies Hannah moves to a home she inherits, can she learn to be happy again?

Winter Without You focuses on Hannah. Having recently lost her boyfriend, Hannah has retreated to Cornwall where her Grandmother has left her a house in her will.

It’s not going to be as straightforward for Hannah though especially when she meets her unfriendly neighbour, Raphael.

This is a love story that is further enhanced by the setting and the people.

Hannah has had her share of tragedy. From the beginning, she is very easy to empathise with and like and therefore is a wonderful lead character. I sense that beneath all the sadness and grief, she has a strength, determination and most importantly, a sense of hope about her. I very much wanted her to succeed and felt invested in her story.

Raphael (I love that name) is brooding and mysterious. He is also at times very unpleasant but I certainly wanted to be wrong about him.

The setting in which her recently acquired inheritance sits sounds absolutely beautiful – somewhere I would like to visit.

The people in this village is how I’d imagine them to be; warm, welcoming and friendly. I don’t want to give too much of the plot away but I did get the feeling that there was more going on than Hannah was being told. This made the plot all the more compelling.

This book is perfect for escaping into now it’s all cold and raining outside. I loved it.

of the area.

This is a first for me by this author... but not my last... I thoroughly enjoyed this heart-warming festive novel that I didn't want to put down.

What do you do when you lose everything?

After the tragic death of her boyfriend, Hannah Clitheroe is hiding away from the world. But when she discovers she's inherited a house in Cornwall, she knows it's time to face reality.

Her estranged grandmother lived in Kernow House for years, but Hannah soon realises someone else thinks it's rightfully theirs: Raphael Tregar, a difficult man who quickly gets under her skin.

But as winter sets in, there's one more thing that keeps her up at night, and the rising fear that she may not find her true home in Cornwall after all...

Whilst the story starts out sad it is a real heart-warmer with some fun and hints of romance... and a discovery of long hidden family secrets whilst in a beautiful setting... what more could you want on a chilly evening by the fire, other than a cup of hot chocolate?!

I absolutely loved the story and will be looking for more of the authors works.

Thank-You Netgalley for my ARC.

Ah Cornwall..... All the blurb has to do is mention Cornwall and I'm there. This lovely Christmas themed novel is not about Cornwall, although that's where the house Hannah has inherited is located. Hannah's had a rough go- her fiancé's died and her world has turned sideways, not least of which was finding out that she inherited this property. She's determined to make the best of it and gathers in those her grandmother embraced. AND, she learns about the grandmother she'd never known. Of course there's also the next door neighbor, a classic brooding bad guy (or is he?) named Raphael. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. This is a fun read with good characters and a nice story.

This is another holiday treat for this year. Normally I don't care too much for romance but Christmas is coming around so why not get into the mood?

This novel is sweet from the beginning to the end.(you can put the candy cane down now) It will be heartwarming for most of you guys.

This is about a young woman who basically lost almost everything including her fiance. She finds out unexpectedly she has inherited a house from her maternal grandmother whom she thought has been dead since she was a kid thanks to her mother's lies. The heroine is determined to make it on her with the rundown house on her own, but at least several couple of ladies come into her life unexpectedly along with her next door louse. As she navigates through her journey with her new friends, louse, maternity, cat with kittens, new house, she discovers more about her grandmother and her grandmother's great love through the lettters she discovered and the letters her neighbor has. There were amusing, frustruating, happy, loving, compassionate, stubborness moments all wrapped up in this book. The only problem I had with this book was why the heroine's mother lied to her about her grandmother being dead . I hate it when things are left unturned or unsolved. Other than that, this book was fun to read.

3 3/4 quarter stars from me.

I recieved this sweet ARC from Quercus Books through Net Galley in exchange for my unbiased and honest review. Thank you!

What would you do if the man you wanted to live your life with dies? Will you be able to keep on living and make something of your life without him or will you stay in a hole of emptiness? Hannah does not know how she is going to survive without the love of her life. She needs to find somewhere to heal and strengthen herself but will the townspeople let her belong and let her heal? Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this book.

Charming, poignant and absolutely magical, Beth Good’s Winter Without You is a festive romantic treat that is simply perfect for curling up with on a cold winter afternoon.

The bottom had fallen out of Hannah Clitheroe’s world when her boyfriend had died tragically. Consumed by heartbreak and despair, a miserable Hannah had found herself lost and alone. Hiding away from the rest of the world seemed to be the only option available to her, yet Hannah knows that she cannot spend the rest of her life locked away from everyone and everything and that the time would soon come when she would have to face reality and the fact that her boyfriend is no longer around. When she receives news that her estranged grandmother had left her a house in Cornwall, Hannah realises that the time has come for her to make her first tentative steps into the world, after suffering such a debilitating loss. However, when she arrives in Cornwall, Hannah soon realises that there are more challenges in store for her, but is she strong enough to face them? Or will she retreat back into her safe and lonely world?

Kernow House had been her grandmother’s home for years. However, on her arrival, Hannah realises that her grandmother was not the only person in the world who thought of Kernow House as hers for it turns out that there is somebody else who thinks that the house belongs to him – and he is certainly not budging! Raphael Tregar has always regraded Kernow as his, so he is flabbergasted when Hannah turns up and announces that she is the new chatelaine of Kernow House. Brooding and difficult, Raphael is not about to let anybody waltz into his house and lay claim to his property – not even Hannah, whom he finds himself increasingly drawn to…

Hannah knows that she keep Raphael at arm’s length, but the more time she spends him, the more she realises that he has managed to get under her skin…and into her heart. With Christmas fast approaching, will Hannah finally find the home and happiness she has been searching for for so long? Or does she need to look elsewhere and forget about Kernow House once and for all?

Peopled with characters you cannot help but love and full of heart, charm and warmth, Winter Without You is sure to satisfy romantics everywhere and have you counting down the days until the next Beth Good release!

Winter Without You by Beth Good is a fun romance to add to your Christmas time reads. I'm not a big Hallmark Christmas movie watcher but I love a good Christmas book and add love, I'm in!

Hannah lost everything but when she inherited her late grandmother's estate she  gained everything and more. From the moment the book opens there is hope of something new and lovely and as at each trial there was something good to come of it.

I gave this read 3 stars on Goodreads because I felt like I really couldn't identify with several of the characters. While the plot was fulfilling, the characters and their purpose were a little haphazard. For example, Lizzie played a large role in the life of the main character, Hannah, but the author left out background information on Lizzie that I needed to truly understand her. Also, I had several questions about the Raphael and Gabriel connection that were never answered.

There were also SO many parts I loved. I loved the dynamic of the accidental roommates and I loved the development of the love between Raphael and Hannah. I would recommend this as a light read perfect for the holiday season.

Thank you NetGalley and Quercus Books for the opportunity to review this book pre-release. I was given a free copy in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own and I was not required to leave a positive review.

Review: I would like to thank Quercus for asking me to review and be apart of the blog tour for this book.

Winter Without You is a lovely tale about love lost and hope. As Hannah moves to Cornwall in Winter she discovers a Grandma she didn't know she had and learns to live again. A new romance develops as the story develops. Handsome and broody Raphael is the romantic hero in this read.

Beth has created some very memorable characters such as Lizzie who when she first appeared literally made me jump and I felt a little scared but she is so funny. Such great writing here.

A perfect read for winter nights, if you want a quality romance with a differences this is it.

This was so lovely to read and I honestly couldn't put it down after starting it. Beth Good is great at writing likeable characters and I do love novels set in Cornwall. I honestly am on my way to find everything Beth Good has written and read it all.

Start d this late last night and was up until all hours reading until I fell asleep from exhaustion. Finished it in the morning.

What do you do when you've lost everything? Well this book starts out sad and with a very big question but it soon cuddles you with hope and inspiration.

Being left a house in Cornwall sounds lovely even though it is going to be hard work and cause a few problems. Kernow House sounds amazing and it was funny to see someone from abroad come and see rainy Cornwall for the first time. Worried about cliff collapse and the rural aspect of it all.

There's lots to enjoy involving an a whole host of animals a shepherd with attitude and the most gossipy people in England!

l.izzie came to Cornwall wanting to hide but Cornwall has other plans in store. A warm hug for Christmas

I adore books set in England! I have never been to this country so I love when a book transports me there and this book made me feel like I stepped into this lovely country. What a sad beginning this book had and I was pulling for Hannah from the start. This book is about second chances and realizing that first impressions are not always correct. I have to admit that I adored Raphael's character from the beginning! The side characters also made this book so memorable. Lizzie was a treasure and so easy to like. The story developed nicely and I felt very satisfied with the ending.

For a couple of years now I have been hoping that Beth Good would write a full length book, given how much I love her short novellas. And now that I have read Winter Without You, I'm delighted to say how much I adored this book.

This really is a warm hug of a book, perfect for those cold winter days, it is heartwarming, funny in places, with hints of romance, and just an all around fabulous story about Hannah and her new Cornish inheritance.

Add in a mix of animals, one shepherd who has a bad reputation, the local rabbit catcher, and a couple of other strays that Hannah allows to stay with her, she is starting to turn Kernow House into a real hope. Just a shame that someone else may have a dubious claim on the property.

We discover long hidden family secrets, and all the characters are easily believable and just seemed like good people to know, if a bit gossipy. There is plenty of plot in this book, loads of smiles and given the reasons that Hannah is in Cornwall could lead to a depressing book, it really wasn't. I didn't find it overly emotional but did enjoy seeing how Hannah was able to start making a new life for herself.

And the Boxing Day pageant just sounded like a lot of fun, as did everything going on on Christmas day. With some worrying moments but also some grand romantic gestures this really is a book for anyone who just enjoys a good story.

Yet the character I wanted to know a lot more about was Lizzie, she seemed at first so vulnerable but really grew as the book progressed, and I really loved seeing her coming out of her shell.

I found my self whizzing through this page without even realising how much time had past, in fact had I been able to spare the time I would have happily read this in one sitting, and I was sorely tempted to. I loved this book and very eager to see what the author writes next.

Thank you Netgalley and Quercus for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Sorry, I really tried to get in to this book but just wasn't feeling it.

The characters, the storyline, the settings, have all been done before and I guess I'm not the target market for this anyway!

Thank you for letting me try it.
