3.5 stars. I loved the setting for a Christmas story, it's different than my usual snowy settings. It's not super high on the Christmas celebrations but there was a bit of a holiday feel. . Diana was not my favourite but by the end I liked her. Connor was fantastic though, I wold have loved more of him.

Most of the Christmas books I have read are set in the Northern Hemisphere, so I think it's super fun to find some with an Aussie summer setting. Christmas in Ghost Gum Springs is a really fun, short and sweet Christmas story set in rural Australia! It's a little bit spicy, but most of the book focuses on the main characters trying not to get together, so there is a lot of "will they/won't they".

I really enjoyed this one and gave it 3.5 stars. Because it's so short I think it's a good one if you're not sure that Christmas romance is for you and want to give it a try.

A short happy ever after read. The main character, Diana was a little annoying at times with her competitive whining of people betraying her. Connor saved the book as he was a lovable male lead.

Who is Diana Jenkins? Where is she at in the world? Why? Who is Connor Shetland? What is his goal? What happens to Diana as she is travelling? What has caused her to hate Christmas? What is her attitude towards Connor? What are her thoughts? Why is Connor so hell bent on changing Diana's mind about something? What is it? When she asks him to do something and he does, what happens to Diana? You really have to read this book and feel the power of Christmas magic! Enjoy.

While the premise of the story was a good one.. I mean, who doesn’t love an Australian hero with a love for Christmas? I just couldn’t for the life of me get past how absolutely horrible the female lead was. Sure I get that she had a bad childhood raised by a horrid woman in a town that made her feel like trash but that is no excuse for behaving in the way that she was treated. She essentially was described as being just as petty, rude and horrible as the woman who raised her and I was actually upset that the male lead ended up with her. Even if she “changed” it was such a quick change that it sort of made it not believable and there is no way that the male lead could be that lame as to fall in love with a woman who insulted him left and right in the blink of an eye.

This was a short read with a HEA that was overall pretty good. I have to say for the majority of the book I didn't like Diana, she behaved like a spoilt brat and the repetition of her going over and over how everybody betrayed her annoyed me. But I will happily try another of this authors books as Connor was a fabulous leading man, with way more patience for Diana than me.

Thanks to NetGalley and Escape Publishing for a copy in return for an honest review.

Christmas in Ghost Gum Springs is a short and sweet read, that might have been a little low on the Christmas celebrations part. Diana- an American visits Australia for an impromptu vacation and accidentally lands in Ghost Gum Springs, a tiny town close to Sydney. She meets the sexy, irresistible Bartender, Connor and is immediately attracted to him.
This is a classic Romance story except that it takes part in rural Australia. While there is a lot of Diana in the story, there's not enough of Connor and he takes a side step as Diana is the sole focus- her problems, her bitchy attitude, her naggings, her regrets, basically everything about her.
But then its such a cute read- the immediate attraction between these two birdies, Conner being the perfect guy etc. I couldn't help but love these two idiots.
A breezy read, full of love and happiness, and finding your ideal fit.

3.5 stars.
This is a sweet but steamy little novella set in the Australian outback. American heroine Diana has recently lost her Scrooge of a grandmother but inherited her substantial savings so her emotions are a little mixed. At the urging of her friends she decided to splash out on a holiday and ends up in Australia, her car breaking down in the middle of nowhere.

Saved from turning into a baked tourist by the arrival of former lawyer Connor Shetland, she is ferried to Ghost Gum Springs where he is doing a sabbatical by taking over the pub while his friend is on a honeymoon.

Diana hates small towns. She grew up in a small town in Montana and everybody knew her business and judged her on the behaviour of her loser parents. This included her grandmother who took her in after their death and proceeded to try and force her into an acceptable pattern. Now the old lady is dead and Diana is still trying to realise that she has the power to control her own life.

But Connor and Ghost Gum Springs are doing a number on her. Especially the way Connor is plastering the whole town with Christmas cheer.

Connor finds Diana compellingly attractive, but she is passing through and he has his own reasons for not wanting to push her into something that she doesn't want.

Over all this is a sweet little story with a touch of steam in the protagonists physical attraction and actions. A nice little read in the leadup to Christmas.

This a wonderful Christmas story that brings a stuck-up girl from America to the outback town of Ghost Gum Springs, Australia. Dianna and Connor are an unlikely couple, but discover an unexpected chemistry when circumstances force them together. I loved the author’s fascinating description of this sleepy town and its inhabitants, and the easy ebb and flow of the storyline. Christmas in Ghost Gum Springs is an enchanting novella and was well worth the read.

Nicole Flockton has an incredible way of immersing the reader in her books. She once again succeeds with her newest book Christmas in Ghost Gum Springs. From the time you meet Diana Jenkins and Connor Shetland you find yourself drawn into their love story. Diana has not had an easy life growing up and it has soured her in ways she is just now discovering. Her vacation in Australia is quickly sidetracked when she breaks down on the side of the road. Connor Shetland is disenchanted with his life. Taking a break to manage the bar in small-town Ghost Gum Springs, he realizes that slowing down and taking stock can sometimes lead to magical things. Can these two strangers get past their emotional baggage to fall in love?

Ms. Flockton is so descriptive of the Australian Outback and Ghost Gum Springs, I wanted to immediately book a trip to visit myself! Rich characters with depth and feeling help to make this book a very enjoyable read. It is my hope that Ms. Flockton will take us back to Ghost Gum Springs with stories of some of the other people we got to meet. A great fun readall set in the town of Ghost Gum Springs The writing was so descriptive I could almost smell the eucalypt trees and feeling the baking hot sun.

Dianna Jenkins is running from her small Montana town she has had enough of small town ways just her luck that her rental vehicle breaks down and she is stranded in another small town this one been Ghost Gum Springs a typical small Australian bush town. The only thing that isn't normal in this town is the blond god who rescued her the local publican who also happened to be a hot shot lawyer in a previous life but he is relaxed after taking on the care of the bar for three months. Now Connor Shetland is determined to bring all things christmas to Ghost Gum Springs and maybe in the process thaw the frosty heart of an uptight American tourist. The writing in this book is great it is just sheer fun to read and the secondary characters well they make of all those sleepy australian towns I have visited.

Diane has left her small town in Montana, and is now stuck in small town Australia for Christmas. Connor rescued her when her car broke down, and brought her to the small town Australia, and is trying hard to convince her to stay and enjoy the holidays. She is super prickly though, and doesn't like Christmas. Gives him more incentive, since he loves the holidays. A quick and easy read.

Ghost Gum Springs sounds like a great small Aussie country town. The Springs the town is named after sound heavenly and divine. This was an easy and quick read that was totally enjoyable.

Diana the cranky American with a dislike of small towns was an interesting match for good looking Connor the high flying lawyer thats left the city to run a small town pub. Good minor characters from the small town helped to give this story a bit more oomph.
