I’ve read Kate Forster before and enjoyed her books. This one is no different. I really enjoyed the story and the glitz of New York. There are a lot of characters so it was hard to follow to begin with but you soon follow everyone. I’d look out for her next book. Thank you for accepting my request.

I liked the storyline of triplets who haven't been close in years banding together to help their mother who is in a coma. This book has it all-fashion, mean people, heroins, money, power and romance! The story has some great plot twists and turns and I really enjoyed the characters. I felt the end was rushed a little where each sister suddenly finds ultimate happiness in their lives within what seems like a month.

When Birdie is found in a coma on her bathroom floor her three triplet daughters Violetta, Carlotta and Grace all rush to the hospital........ but where is her husband Leon .......is he responsible for her condition! The sisters have not been close for years but they suddenly find they have to work closely together to save Pajaro their mothers business...... but how will they cope with the family secrets about to be exposed!

A good page turner that kept your interest, good characters, although not ones that you could necessarily relate to or even like, and plenty of secrets and intrigue, a good beach read

Great book with a great storyline. Not what I was expecting at all so was a nice surprise. Easy to read and good characters in there too.

I struggled to get into The Sisters to start with but decided to try and persevere and it paid off. I loved it. Entertaining and a light hearted story.

Birdie meets Leon and falls in love when she is just a young woman. Fast forward the years and her triplet daughters, Carlotta, Grace and Violetta are called to hospital as their mother has sustained a fall and is in a coma. And Leon is nowhere to be found. The story ofnhownthe three girls take over the reins of Pajero, the company her mothers has such passion for, and their indivudual stories whilst they wait for their mother to recover. I absolutely loved this story.

A great read with an excellent storyline. Strong characters and a plot that was both interesting and easy to follow. Great writing style.

What a book!! It has it all, drama, suspense, mysteries and makes sure the reader gets to get many different emotions from reading it! I thought it was definitely a great read, which kept my attention from page one until the very end!

Perfect poolside reading, a glorious blockbuster of a novel that hits everything that I love from a book I am reading on holiday.

There are rich people, scandals, mysteries, surprises and sex!

It is pure escapism that completely transported me to the sisters stories. All three of them are so different but the question is will they be able to band together to save their mother's company, even though none of them have ever worked there.

At first Violetta and Carlotta are fairly unlikable but once you get to know them I found I was rooting for all 3 girls.

I love reading books from this author, and this was no exception, just the sort of book I adore, very well written and highly compelling.

I have a little confession to make. Prior to being invited to take part in the blog tour for ‘The Sisters’, I hadn’t actually come across Kate Forster before. Sorry Kate. Well I can certainly say that I have heard of her now!! I read the synopsis for this book and I couldn’t wait to start reading. I was not to be disappointed. ‘The Sisters’ is certainly one interesting read and I really enjoyed reading it but more about that in a bit.
I can honestly say that there was not one member of the de Santoval family that I took to or even liked. In fact if I ever met any of them, I would be running like mad in the opposite direction. Each of them are manipulative, challenging, selfish, ambitious and very spoilt.
Oh my goodness, ‘The Sisters’ is one of those books that is a perfect holiday read, when all you want is to switch off from daily life, you want to escape to another place and you just want an uncomplicated blockbuster read. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started to read and I am really surprised (in a nice way) that I enjoyed reading ‘The Sisters’ as much as I did. Usually I am not a fan of the family rivalry/ power struggles/ lots of sex and drugs type of book but ‘The Sisters’ is certainly the exception to this. It took me a little while to get into the book because there was a lot of talk about the fashion industry and let’s be honest there’s no way on this earth that I would ever be considered to be fashionable or even interested in the fashion industry. Once I got over that little hurdle, I soon got into the story and I couldn’t stop reading because I wanted to find out which direction the story was going to take and to find out what fate had in store for the sisters. I loved the sheer escapism of this book and the fact that I didn’t have to think too much. ‘The Sisters’ is full of ups and downs, twists and turns and there are shocks aplenty. Some of the characters will make you want to scream (not in a good way) whilst others will make you want to slap them silly with a wet flip flop.
In short I really enjoyed reading ‘The Sisters’ and I would recommend it to other readers. I will definitely be looking out for Kate’s other books and I look forward to reading them. I can’t wait to read what she comes up with next. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is 4* out of 5*.

This is a first for me by this author, although I have a few on my TBR pile, not sure why I haven't read them yet... but hopefully it won't be too long before I do!

I have to say I absolutely loved it... pure escapism fiction... lots of drama, secrets, fashion, love and beautiful women with lots of money... a whole rollercoaster ride with a suspenseful plot that keeps you guessing until the end.

The triplet sisters start out with the impression of spoilt entitled brats... but I really enjoyed getting to know their individual personalities and how they were touched by their family's dissolution.

The Sisters by Kate Forster was just the palate cleanser I needed from all the *more* serious books I have been reading lately. There are serious topics, but enough humor as well that overall this book has a lighthearted feel to it.

What it's about: The 25-year-old de Santoval triplets have drifted apart. Violetta is a party girl that just got on a reality TV series, Carlotta is a popular horse trainer that loves her horses more than anything else (maybe even her family), and Grace works in an auction house and has a terrible secret she has been hiding from everyone. The girls must come together again when their father Leon disappears and leaves their mom Birdie lying unconscious in their bathroom. This family may be wealthy, but all their secrets and lies are about to come out.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a fast read and actually reminded me a bit of She Regrets Nothing by Andrea Dunlop due to it having to do with a wealthy family in New York. It is also filled with lots of family drama, and lots about fashion and art which was very enjoyable and interesting to read about.

One thing I wasn't quite expecting was how much sex is in it. It's nothing too descriptive, but I wasn't expecting it all the same. The sex scenes are short though, and since they aren't very detailed I didn't mind reading them (usually I really don't like sex in books). The real focus was on the family and their fashion brand Pajaro which Birdie started.

The Sisters switches from present which is 2017 and past which ends up being 1980-2010. It also switches between a few characters including the triplets, Birdie, Birdie's friend Spencer, and Leon. There are also other character perspectives throughout, and this is mostly done throughout the chapters as opposed to each chapter or chunk always being just one character's perspective. This normally bothers me but it worked for me in this book.

For some reason, I ended up having a hard time keeping the triplets straight though and wrote myself notes about them so I would remember who had what characteristics. I thought the characters had pretty distinct voices though, so this might have just been a personal problem. I just read a book with tons of characters and was fine, but for some reason I couldn't keep the 3 girls straight.

The only thing that was weird for me with this book was that even though the girls were born in the United States and the book is set there, the author would use language like "jumper" and "mum" and other words that aren't distinct to the US. It didn't really bother me but it did come across as odd to me. Also, Birdie is from Georgia but I didn't find her voice to really seem like she was from there. The author lives in Australia so I'm thinking that is the reason behind this, but I feel that if you are going to write a book set in the US you should use the language for the US and not for other countries.

Final Thought: I laughed a lot during the book, but I also cried as well. It ended up being a very emotional novel even though it had a lighthearted feel. I loved seeing the triplets coming into their own, and finding out what they were supposed to be doing with their lives and where they belonged. If you are looking for a novel full of laughter and drama with a dose of emotion I would definitely recommend checking out The Sisters!

Amazing read! The author wrote a story that was interesting and moved at a pace that kept me engaged. The characters were easy to invest in.

The Sister's is a rich tapestry of wealth, mystery and scandal that burst off the pages with passion and excitement. I've never read a book by this author before so I was looking forward to seeing what Kate had in store for me and I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. A plot filled to the brim with glitz and glamour, business tycoons, wealthy heiresses with Daddy issues and a business to save. What more could you want from a storyline? The writing pulled me into a society of style and wealth which was dazzling and alluring in a hypnotic nature. I loved how I was submerged in fashion and style and seduced by a world of wealth one can only dream of. That being said there was still heart and soul at the centre of this story creating a balanced plot of style and substance.

From the outside, triplets, Grace, Violetta and Carlotta have a perfect life. But when scandal and mystery threaten everything they've known, they have to work together and fight to save the family business and their name. I won't delve into too much detail regarding the plot as I don't want to give away any hints or spoilers. But be sure to know that there are plenty of twists and turns at every corner to keep you satisfied and on your toes. Each character is created with care to add purpose and intent to the plot and I had an intense dislike for several characters suggesting that Kate excels at character creation and is able to pull reactions from her readers.

This is an exciting and delicious story to get your teeth into and I loved my time spent with the De Santoval sisters. I thoroughly recommend this book and can't wait to see what this author creates in the future.
