A beautiful blend of Fantasy and middle grade which stayed in the middle grade without changing or twisting.
This book was a beautiful read .
Thanks Netgalley for giving me an opportunity to read and review this e-ARC.

This book confused me at first. The story jumping back and forth from one realm to a “altered reality” made it hard to follow at times. When I finally got into the book. The story line cams together and was ok. I feel it was two totally different stories and would have been better written as two books 8nstead of one. Like part one and part two. All in all. I loved both stories as they intertwined.

This is an extraordinarily well-written story. It is so completely thought through and such a joy to read. It had this wonderful flow to it and I had a hard time putting it down.

Ben wakes up and finds himself in a strange land. As he explores, he meets new people and creatures that had only existed in fairy tales. Soon, he is on an adventure in both the new world and the real world.

A.J. Massey's Where Dragonwoofs Sleep and The Fading Creeps has several good qualities that make it a fun read. First, the people and lands are well described, so it is easy to imagine what they look like. The story is pretty creative and entertaining.

It also has morals that are taught as the children learn them. They have to decide whether to act for the greater good, or just meet their own needs. Though the characters are from different walks of life, they work together and use their own strengths. The main human characters are social misfits, but they learn more about themselves as the adventure progresses and lean less on pursuing the "in crowd."

Overall, I enjoyed reading Where Dragonwoofs Sleep and The Fading Creeps. I had a problem with the cuss words. Granted, I only saw three occurrences, but I don't agree with using foul language at all, and I don't like seeing it in books.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
