I loved this book and this series. I was so glad to read about Logan and can't wait for Garrett's story. There's always lots of action and emotion. I'm ready for the next book!

DEMON'S MERCY is a fantastic read. Author Rebecca Zanetti brings her readers back to her "Seven" with Logan's story. We were introduced to them in VAMPIRE'S FAITH and this one continues down the same exciting new path, while still a continuation of her Dark Protectors series. I say new because even though we do get to meet again some of the other characters from her Dark Protectors series, these guys are are heading down a new route as protectors.

I thought this book was a good read. I liked the chemistry between Logan (demon/vampire) and Mercy(Fae). This book needs a bit of editing. Words misspelled and using the wrong words at times. But overall a good book with a good story line. Would recommend.

Oh, did I ever enjoy this book. This is one of my favorite books in the Dark Protector series. I usually have a problem with the heroines in this series, but not so with Mercy. She was just a breath of fresh air. I found her to be exactly who was needed in this book.

Mercy O’Malley is fae. They are mostly assumed to be a myth in the Realm. The ones that have known a fae in the past all have a couple words for them. Fairy. Crazy. It’s actually crazy that comes up more often. And crazy they are. They often act before they think, especially in Mercy’s case. She doesn’t quite think her plan through when she decides that she’s going to kidnap Logan Kyllwood instead of kill him.

Mercy is not a solider. She’s a business person. Or business fae. She keeps the fae in money. She plays the stock market. She moves money around. Mercy is that person. She’s also one of the few fae left in the world. Her people were happily living on another dimension when it was destroyed. They lost almost all their people. Now they’re forced to live in a dimension that they have no desire to live in. The realm with everyone else. The problem now is that Logan Kyllwood and his brotherhood are threatening they’re new dimension as well.

Logan Kyllwood can’t believe he let himself get kidnapped by a fairy. He’s only days away from a horrifying ritual that could kill him. One where he joins a brotherhood known as the Seven. The job of the Seven is to protect the world from the biggest, baddest evil the world has ever seen. The evil that can wipe out all enhanced females. Including his young niece. Logan can’t help himself from being attracted to Mercy, but he won’t let her stop him.

What made this book so good was the interaction between Mercy and Logan. Mercy got the one-up on Logan so many times and he just kept falling for her shenanigans. At first I was thinking, “Seriously, how stupid are you?”, then I looked at it another way. He just liked her that much. He got stupid around her. There was one interaction that was especially humorous. The vampire mating mark appears on Logan’s hand, signifying that Mercy is his mate. Mercy sees it and loses her shit a little bit.

“Your marking,” she whispered.

“Yes.” He looked down, no expression on his immortal face.

Oh. She blinked. “You’ve found your mate.” What an asshole. He’d brought her to orgasm while soon to be mated to someone else. Obviously he hadn’t transferred the marking to the other female yet, or he wouldn’t have been able to kiss Mercy without succumbing to the mating allergy. The fact that she’d done the same was irrelevant. “You’re such a dick.”

He jerked and turned toward her. “Excuse me?”

A mating mark only appeared when a demon met his or her mate, and then it was transferred to the mate during sex. She’d read all about it, fascinated. “You’ve met your mate, and here is the mark to prove it. Yet you kissed me.” Man, she’d read him wrong. No honor. What a jackass. His poor mate. How incredibly sad. “I should tell her the truth.”

“You are her,” he drawled, dark amusement glittering in his eyes.

Mercy has always felt that she had to work for her place with her people. Logan is determined to show her that she doesn’t have to prove herself to him. His view does differs from Mercy’s in how their partnership is going to work. Mercy just does what she wants. She does what she wants without any fanfare. She just does it. She does what she believes is best. For her people, for her President, for her King, and above all, for Logan. I just adored these two characters individually and together.

Rating: 4.25 out of 5.

Review will be live in the month of January.

Logan Kyllwood is a demon-vampire hybrid and brother to the king of the demon nation. He is slated to become the last of the Seven, a secret group dedicated to preventing the most dangerous immortal from escaping from his other-dimension prison.

Mercy O'Malley, a Fae, is dedicated to preventing Logan from becoming one of the Seven, thus preventing the continuation of the other dimension. Her people have dabbled in multiple dimensions in the past with disastrous results. There are very few of her people left.

Mercy kidnaps Logan to convince him to not complete the Seven ceremony. Logan and Mercy go head to head and around the world. They fight against each other at every turn. But Logan discovers that they are mates. (Not much of a spoiler there--this is a romance, after all.) What are they going to do, especially since Mercy is promised to another?
***
This book is full of conflict that seems impossible to resolve, many secrets, and suspense. A character's secret is revealed and a character's life is drastically changed. Logan's prophetic niece, Hope, Janie and Zane's daughter, has a continuing storyline. She's adorable, meets her destiny in her dreams, and knows things she shouldn't.

Best read as part of the Dark Protectors series. Start with Fated.

*I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Um...where the heck have I been? How is this the 9th installment to this series and I’m just NOW reading one from it? I’m a PNR lover and didn’t know about this series. I officially hang my head in shame. (And am now running to gather all of the others to catch up)

Mercy is a Fae with a mission. Although her actual mission is a little different than the one she was tasked with. There has been a disturbance in the force. No, not that one. The deminsions have been compromised and the Fae blame the Seven for it. So, instead of killing a member of the Seven, she’s altered her plans. But.....it’s not exactly going as planned....or not planned....

Logan isn’t a member of the Seven yet, but that’s the plan. The Seven have a specific role within the Realm (I’m new to this series, so I’m not even gonna try to explain it, just read the book). His mission is to find a Key, to save the world from a very evil being. But the Key just happens to be a pretty red headed Fae who just attempted to kidnap him. And man can she put up a good fight.

Like I stated before, I’m new to series and am still wrapping my head around a couple of things, but the bottom line is that this was awesome. The plot, chemistry, and drama were all well done. I absolutely loved that Mercy is a strong woman who wasn’t backing down from what she wanted or needed to do. Logan is everything Alpha. I dare you to NOT fall in love with him.

Although these characters were the focal point, I can’t help but mention a certain character that’s peeked my attention, drawing me closer to this series. I’m not going to spoil anything here, but the niece has won my heart. I know her story isn’t over and I can’t wait to see where it goes!

I absolutely adore this series and this book features Logan so I'm in heaven. Yep that adorable, meddlesome, hunk of trouble is all grown up and about to meet his Mate !
So how does the author make this story different ? Well allow me to introduce the Fae for the first time in this amazing series. Yes not only do we have demons, vampire ,shifters and witches but now we learn about the ahem fairies ! Mercy is no ordinary Fae, no she's one of three special keys who are essential if the secretive Seven are to prevent world carnage. Trouble is both Logan and Mercy have very different ideas so settle in and watch the fireworks fly as this couple tempt, tease and thoroughly drive each other insane !
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

Demon’s Mercy by Rebecca Zanetti is an out of this world novel. I mean that in so many ways. It really does take me, out of this world and into many others. Science fiction, science, and fantasy are all found in this clever written plot. Rebecca Zanetti had me enchanted from the get go. I could not stop reading this novel.

The main characters were from two worlds. Each one representing a different side of an equation but each one shared a goal. Both were warriors. One a female fae and the other a male demon who will stop at nothing to protect the ones they love. These two were easily a great pair. Matched in both stamina, strength, and determination. One more brawny and the other more intelligent. I love how the writer made the whole intelligence is sexy kind of thing. That just made the male demon, Logan, more irresistible to me. Mercy is a young woman on a mission. Stubborn to a fault, but she will protect those she loves with a fierceness that matches Logan’s powerful military training. It was quite a show with these two.

Demon’s Mercy is about two worlds’ populations coming at each other to stop something bigger from happening. The fae have already done what the Demons are trying to do and there were consequences. So the fae with their advanced technology and partial knowledge plan to stop the Demon group known as the seven. This seven group is a powerful group of men who can defend the worlds from a greater disaster. But fighting the fae and the fae’s enemies will be trying.

Get ready to enter a world of action, suspense, and hot steamy scenes. The pages kept me engaged all night long. Quick reading, lovable characters, and a dilemma that kept me wondering…is inside this incredible paranormal romance. I highly recommend reading this book to all.

5 You are more than enough stars!!!! Loved it! Every single word! I will never tire of the Dark Protectors!!! Never, I say! This is Logan Kyllwood's story and we are introduced to the Fae with Mercy O'Malley. Wow! Just STUPENDOUS, AWESOME, FANTASTIC, MARVELOUS writing and world building. I can't get enough of how Ms. Zanetti connects the Realm world and all the different facets that seem to happen to everyone. It is beyond AMAZING! Without giving too much away, Logan has to go through an intense ritual and is charged with bringing in a Key person. Mercy is tasked in stopping him and of course, who can stop and Kyllwood? Lol. Filled with non-stop action, suspense, laugh out loud moments, the oh so alpha dominating sex that only the alphas of Ms. Zanetti's books have, and you will be in for a thrill of a ride. There are so many other things happening that I am on edge to see how it will all play out with the new and evolved cast of characters. I loved Hope and Paxton, the most! Here is looking to more from this series and I hope it never stops!

This is the ninth in the Dark Protector series of novels by Rebecca Zanetti. In it we meet Logan Kyllwood and Mercy O'Malley, a vampire demon hybrid and a member of the Fae nation. Definitely not a match made in heaven, or so one would think!!

The story of Logan and Mercy's journey through a number of different worlds and the other beings they need to overcome, as well as their growing feelings for each other is captivating. Their actions to ensure the survival of their world is, at times, violent although totally in keeping with the overarching story.

This is, at heart a story of love and a meeting of two different cultures. However, this is just part of what is happening in this epic tale.

I have not read any of the other Dark Protectors titles and feel, that if I had, I may understand more fully the battle that is going on throughout this.

In my opinion, that could only be fully appreciated if the reader has a full understanding of all that has happened previously which I assume is what makes up the first seven titles in this series.

This didn't detract from my enjoyment of Logan and Mercy's love story and will certainly be looking out for more in this series in the future.

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I have started collecting this series and have 4 of the 9 so far, but haven’t gotten this book yet.

The cover is lickable….errr I mean likeable!!

This is the 9th book in this series, but it is only the 2nd one I’ve read. This series is already in my heart because I want to own and read them all as well as the Realm Enforcers series. Obviously, you can read them out of order though I bet you love them all even more if you read them all in order. This series is for adults only due to the violent fights where heads are removed and the steamy content with mates!

This is Logan’s story of both his mating and his joining the Seven!! So much going on in this book, first the Fae have entered the scene, and they think the apocalypse is coming because of the Seven. It starts with Mercy kidnapping Logan, and then the tables turn. You learn all sorts of things about the Fae, and they know things. There is more trouble from the Cysts and Kurjans. All sorts of new information is out for everyone about secrets! I really love these bad boy hybrids because they battle fiercely and love just as fiercely. I can’t wait to see what happens next!!

I highly recommend to any paranormal fans because there is action galore, vampires, demons, Fae, magic, mates and more!!

I love any and all books by Rebecca Zannetti and this book was no exception. Watching Garrett and Logan in past books and then seeing Logan fall for Mercy was epic. I loved the power struggle between the two. After this book I cant wait for Ivar 'Vike' to find his Promise.

3.5 stars. I like the overall story line of the paranormal creatures working together to save all worlds/dimensions and all creatures. I haven't read the previous books, but I assume this plot line goes back to the previous books and I also assume carries into the future books. I think it's intriguing and it's a bit different than the plot of most paranormal books I've read. I liked Mercy's spunk and her refusal to allow Logan to tell her what to do or change her and her refusal to just be a wallflower sitting by watching things happen. I'll definitely be going back to read the previous books in this series, but I'm truly looking forward to Adare and Grace's story, which I'm hoping will come after Ivar's book?! Fingers crossed! I like this authors writing style, so I'll definitely be checking out other works by her. My only complaint about this one was I thought it was a little long.

I love the fact that Rebecca Zanetti has introduced a new species in this series. All the abilities the Fae have, open so many new ideas for her writing and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
Logan Kyllwood has known nothing but war and protecting the ones he love since he was a young boy. Being a hybrid demon/vampire leaves his family as outcasts even if they are demon royalty. Now destine as one of the Seven he barely has the time to look for one of the Keys and definitely not for romance.
Mercy O’Malley is one of the few Fae left, they have a breeding plan in place to grow their numbers but first they need to stop the Seven from reforming or there will be no life left to live. Her plan is to stop Logan from becoming one of the Seven and school him on what will happen if he does not. It’s is not her plan to fall for the bossy arrogant and oh so sexy hybrid.
Mercy is a very strong women and sure of her abilities and her peoples knowledge of the universe. The more time she spends with Logan the more she is torn between duty and destiny. If Logan can only get Mercy to stay where he puts her he may be able to protect her and solve the Seven’s issues.
Realization of ones worth and who to trust will solve duty versus destiny but which one will they choose?

So happy to be back in this world and even happier to get Logan’s story! This world this author has created absolutely fascinates me and I always look forward to the progression of the continuing storyline as well as the love story set within it. I love the checking with some of my favorite characters that happens organically during the story.
This particular story is a non-stop action packed fun and sexy ride!! I love Logan and Mercy together. Their verbal and physical sparring is awesome and even sexy. I really like Mercy and I love her for the dominant and bossy but oh so sexy Logan. She is a badass little Fae, and this is yet another species we get more information on during this book and they are an interesting addition. Logan is well, he is everything! He’s as Bossy as he is Sexy but also a little sweet! He is waiting for his induction into the Seven when Mercy drops into his life an upends him. Love the story, love Logan and Mercy and I can’t wait for more!!!

Demon's Mercy is Logan and Mercy's story. I'm so used to the fun loving Logan that never leaves Garrett's side. You get to see a whole new side to Logan when his protective instincts towards his mate comes out.

I'm very curious how Logan and Garrett will be in future books. These two are never apart, but now there's Mercy. She does seem to fit right in so maybe it'll be the three musketeers instead. Although, I'm not sure Logan's alphaness will allow Mercy to get into any shenanigans.

Mercy is one of my more favorite heroines of the series. One, because she has the power that makes her capable of handling herself in dangerous situations. I loved seeing her jumping in to fight because of this. When it's a human woman against the supernatural, that's when it doesn't make sense.

I also like that while she started out all buttoned up and analytical, she is just as mischievous as Logan and Garrett. She really does fit with these two. I hope Garrett's mate will be the same. I think it will be fun to see both couples all working together.

I'm looking forward to the next book! I love these big, bossy men!

I was excited going into this book.  Paranormal romance is one of my favorite troupes and I'm always hoping to find a new author that blows me away with their story.  This book didn't do that for me.  It was good, I enjoyed it but, it isn't one that is going to stick with me which was disappointing.

I liked the idea of this storyline, it was one that I thought I would fall right into.  Unfortunately I found myself growing bored with it and had trouble staying fully engaged in what was going on.  Mercy should have been a badass, but more times than not she was having to be saved from some kind of danger.  I really wanted those moments where she stood on her own and took care of business.  Logan was your typical alpha and I loved that about him but, he lost points with me when he dismissed Mercy's opinions and knowledge of what was going on in their world.

If you love Rebecca's work I have no doubt you'll like this book, it just wasn't for me.

***5 ‘#TeamLogan’ Stars***

Ever since meeting Logan and Garrett in Wicked Ride I have had a huge, HUGE, book boyfriend crush on them both. I mean, I seriously ADORE both of them, so to say I did a happy dance when I found out that Logan was getting his HEA is an understatement and I was not disappointed. I will admit that there were moments of huge eye rolls and wanting to pull out my “bang head here” sign and use it, but I loved it all and wanted more.

I’m going to sound like a broken record, but I ADORED Logan. He is all kinds of Alpha AF/Book Boyfriend goodness. Protective, stubborn and deadly (when it’s called for) and all kinds of sweet and smexy, the male is kind of everything. Mercy....Here’s the thing with Mercy, I loved her, I did, but dear lord did she try my patience. I mean, I can’t really hate on her because she is so steadfast in her beliefs, and she comes by them honestly, but man...she tried me. Thankfully she is sweet, snarky and intelligent and definitely kept me on my toes.

As for their journey to their HEA, it was a rocky one, an enjoyable one for sure, what with the whole kidnapping thing, but even with all the craycray going on that spark between them was there from the very start. I loved how they got to know each other and found that despite the issues they were facing, they actually liked each other and in a weird way complemented the other. The how and why they ended up mated was not what I was expecting, but it totally worked for me.

A lot happens in this book, like craycray kind of stuff happens, but it kept me turning the pages to find out what would happen next. Well, that and the rest of the crazy cast of characters. I obviously did the whole swoony sigh thing whenever Garrett was around, Sam may be coming in a quick second though. I love Hope and Pax and all that is going on there. And then there is Grace and Adare, I want more of them for sure. But I’m definitely looking forward to getting my hands on Alpha’s Promise because Vike totally intrigues me and I need more!

Back to the Realm we go, and I freaking LOVE being back in this world! This is book 9 of the Dark Protectors series, the second book in the new story arc which began in Vampire's Faith. So definitely don’t go into this one without at least a little bit of background. This is the long-awaited story of Logan Kyllwood (young brother of Zane), a fast-moving, action-packed story and I loved it.

Logan is a vampire-demon hybrid, and one of the deadliest fighters in the Realm (a collective group of allied supernaturals). In the last book of the series, we saw him and best friend Garrett accepted into a secretive and exclusive group called ‘the seven’ – a group of warriors tasked with protecting the world from a deadly threat. Garrett is already a member, and Logan’s initiation will complete the group, and he is gearing up to undergo the mystical, potentially deadly ceremony.

Mercy is fae – a new species introduced to the series. The fae as a people are not well known to the Realm, often thought of as mythical, and as a race they are facing extinction. The most pressing matter for the fae though is the re-emergence of the seven, which they believe will have devastating consequences for the entire universe. Mercy is just one of the fae tasked with stopping the powerful group, and she takes it upon herself to kidnap Logan to prevent him from becoming one of them and completing their mystical group.

This book is a wild ride of action, excitement and intrigue, and it moves at a terrific pace. From the moment that Logan and Mercy meet there is barely a moment to breathe as they run, fight, chase and argue.

“I won’t let them hurt you, Mercy.”
She drew back, her eyes widening. “You won’t seem to understand.” Leaning forward again, she dropped her voice to a whisper. “We’re enemies, Logan.”

The action is great but it’s all about the romance for me, and OMG there is so much back and forth between these two! They are both driven by their pre-determined destinies, which put them on opposite sides with lots of secrets between them, but they share a mystical bond and a whole lot of lusty attraction, and it’s all swept up into an exciting and intense ride as they figure it all out.

“You’re different, and I think you know it. There’s more to us, and it’s a fucking tragedy that we can’t explore further what we could have.”>

Honestly, it got a bit frustrating at times, and I wanted to smack Mercy for her constant running, which all became a bit repetitive. But romantic, determined, alpha Logan is definitely a treat and all of that intensity creates sizzling chemistry and the sexy time is really freaking hot.

“I’ve never had anything in this life that was just mine, darlin’.”
She tilted her head to the side, her noise lightly brushing his. “I’m not yours.”
    But she could be.

This book has a touch of the mystical about it, with lots of talk of dimension-jumping and other worlds adding a lot of interest and will lead to some really great storylines in the rest of the series. And to increase the awesome, we get to touch base with the characters we met in the last book of the series, Logan’s brothers (including Janie and Hope), and the King of the Realm himself in all of his glory.

“I’ll start.” The king placed large hands on the table, his voice pleasant and very peaceful.
Mercy relaxed a little. It was nice to be around a calming influence for once.
The king leaned forward. “What the holy fuck of a fuckup of a disaster have you assholes gotten into?” Dage yelled, his booming voice echoing off every wall.

The story continues to build towards an exciting showdown that will be coming later in the series, and I’m really enjoying the build-up. I love that we get to know more about the seven in this book, and I’m excited for their stories to be told in their own books.

So yeah, a little frustrating perhaps, but still a great read.

4 stars.
