I love to read any books by Karen Robards. This series is full of spies, CIA agents gone bad and a whole lot ot intrique. This is book 3 and I would suggest reading them in order. Bianca has settled into her life in Savannah. She has a successful company, friends and she wants to keep it that way. However, has her past finally caught up to her? When Colin shows up, he gives her a way out. Can she run one more job and get the CIA Kill Team off her tail? Or, is it a job she might not come back from? Book was so good I hated to finish it!

Once I started reading The Fifth Doctrine by Karen Robards I became completely involved with Bianca St Ives. and her adventures. After I finished this book I found the first two books in the series. This gave me the important background information about her relationship with her 'father' and 'Colin Rogan. Part of her life is managing Guardian Consulting in Savannah. She has another secret life outside the office which is hidden from her friends and employees. She is a thief as well as a martial arts expert. She was trained to steal and commit other crimes by her father. Collin Rogan found her while she was attempting to steal valuables in the first book of the series. They meet again in the second book but she gets away from hm and feels that she is safe when back at her job. He is a government agent who is determined to find her. He needs her help and has to convince her to join him. There has always been a sexual attraction between them which she fights. Against her will he talks her into joining him and their adventure begins.

I reviewed the first in the Guardian Series that hook me in from first to last page. Once again this story will keep readers needing more of St. Ives as she is trying to settle back into a normal life knowing she is anything but normal. The characters stay true to who they are from book 1.

I would recommend readers starting with the first in the series just to get the batter background of St. Ives, however that being said the author does a wonderful job of catching reader up fast as bullet are flying.

The author create a dark world where one mistake and you are expendable. The action back story has readers biting their nails needing more of Bianca St, Ives.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher MIRA for advance copy of Karen Robards The Fifth Doctrine

Thank Netgalley for the arc for review. I don't believe that I'd read any of the Bianca St Ives books before. Lots of suspense and action and of course chemistry between Bianca and Colin.

FYI, whenever there was an f, there was a space. Kinda made reading interesting.

This author is one I don’t even bother reading the back of the book to see what it’s about. I know it will be good! And Ms. Robards did not disappoint. This book takes you on a thrill ride almost from the very beginning. And a ride you get to the very end. The chemistry between Bianca and Colin is off the charts, even when they are doing everything to stay alive. The best thing is, their story is not over.

Bianca St. Ives thinks she has finally settled down and started a new life in Savannah. When her nemesis, Colin Rogan, shows up and tells her that she is the target of a CIA kill squad and then helps her escape, that life is over. Colin convinces her to work with his secret ops and he can get the dogs called off. Bianca now finds herself impersonating a woman who stole information about a North Korea operation and trying to meet with an NK agent to sell a doctored version of the goods. Off she goes to Paris with Colin to fight both her attraction to him and the agents from various dangerous groups.

This latest entry in the series is full of action and sexual tension between Bianca and Colin. Her unorthodox birthright looms large in the story as well as her relationship with her supposed father Mason Thayer. The resolution is satisfying and there is an obvious lead into a new book. Yay!

Fabulous read. This latest installment is the best yet in this series. The writing is action packed, on the edge of your seat thrills and chills. I adored the banter and interaction between Colin and Bianca. They are so well suited for each other in every way. Bianca gets sold out a few times in the book, but as usual, she manages to wriggle her way out of tight jams. I continue to marvel at Robard's keen descriptions as well as her creativity for the really cool spy gadgets, manuevers, and plot twists.

Bianca is a great character, and this book is no exception. I've really enjoyed these books. What I read depends on the mood I am in, and having an action book with a female hero was exactly what I needed!

This is the 3rd book in the Guardian series. Bianca St, Ives (genetically altered by the Government) is forced to team up with Colin Rogan to save the world from a catastrophe. It is no surprise I loved this book. Lots of action and suspense with chemistry between Bianca and Colin. I hope this isn't the end of this series. Thanks to NetGalley, Harlequin-Mira and the Author for allowing me to read and review this book.

The Fifth Doctrine by Karen Robards is third in a series featuring Bianca St. Ives. This story is action packed, engaging and well written. The characters are likeable, and the chemistry between them is great. The plot is intriguing, especially considering the involvement of North Korea. This one is a great addition to the series. Readers won't be disappointed. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

We meet Bianca St. Ives again in The Fifth Doctrine. She is trying to lead a normal life but in walks a person from her past with an offer on the table. It is a one-shot deal that would allow Bianca to walk away free if she will run one last mission. But if Bianca wants to go back to her normal life in Savannah, she doesn't have a choice.

An operation is already under way in North Korea, to hopefully end the country’s tyrannical regime for good. The united States need someone to go undercover as the female hacker who recently stole top secret intel from NORAD. Bianca knows this mission is dangerous but it might just make the world a better place to live. She might even survive and fall in love at the same time. Robards' characters are always just perfect with the right amount of danger, intrigue and humor thrown in. I love her books.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this book in return for my honest review.

Wow! I really loved this book. Fast paced, action packed, but somehow the story line never falters. Bianca St. Ives lives a split life, so what happens when her two worlds collide?

The story is filled with twists and turns, and great chemistry between the two main characters. I loved how strong Bianca is, and how capable. She's badass, and she knows it, yet inside she still has a heart in need of love. There's action, and vulnerability and so much more.

I'd read the first in the Bianca series, and really enjoyed it because it focused more on action and storytelling than an improbable romance. This book continued that trend. Can't wait to see where this story goes!

The Fifth Doctrine by Karen Robards
Exhilarating! Another electrifying installment in the Bianca St. Ives series. Karen has another winner on her hands. Not only does she keep up the fast paced plotting of the previous books in the series but she adds a bit of steamy romance to keep things interesting. Bianca’s love interest is the man that she has shared a kiss or two in the past (right before she cuffs him or throws him overboard ). Now though, he is following her in earnest and has a job for her to do regarding national security. If that weren’t enough, besides having a CIA kill team after her, there is a deadly threat from an unsuspected source. This is a not to miss installment in the series. If you haven’t tried them yet, what are you waiting for? Excellent stories.

First reading this book, I realized this was a continuance of a series. So I went and bought the other 2 books in the series because each of the first 2 books in the series end in cliffhangers. If you start this book first, put it down and go buy the other books in the series and read them first.
Bianca St. Ives is in international con artist. She goes after bad guys and robs them. Learning from her father from an early age. But after many years of living a double life, the government has figured out who she is. Instead of turning her in, they want her to do a job to earn her freedom. Go undercover as a female hacker, who stole top level secrets. Bianca agrees, but she soon realizes she could be way over her head if she gets caught.

Karen Robards is a skilled, creative story teller and hits a trifecta with this story; humour and romance wrapped in spine-tingling, edge of your seat action! This is the third book featuring Bianca St. Ives, raised to be strong and independent, trusting only herself taking you on another global adventure, one that tests the limits of her strengths physically and emotionally. A cast of characters, with new ones and favourite returns, especially Colin Rogan. Friends, foes and frenemies, who can she trust, with her life and heart, when the risk is life vs. death.

Finishing this book, like the first two, left me wanting more, immediately and can't wait to read Bianca's next adventure.

While you could read as a standalone book, I recommend reading the first two, The Ultimatum (2017) and The Moscow Deception (2018).

Karen Robard's The 5th Doctrine, third in the series solves the case of Project Nomad, a CIA case of genetic studies concerning babies born and reared in secret by the government. The 5th Doctrine returns to the life of Bianca St. Ives, AKA Nomad 44. She is now running a security agency in Savannah, Georgia. She felt secure in her home and new business , yet always checking, double checking and watching, waiting for someone or something to reappear from her past life.
Upon returning to her office she find no other than Colin Rogan, a former M16 agent she thought she left behind in Moscow. Bianca knew from the first sight of him standing in the front office that danger was in her future. She knew that once he said, "Hello Bianca". No one knew her real name, especially not Colin a man she left unconscious and handcuffed to a bed. Although her secretary introduced him as Mr. Tower, Bianca knew all too well that her immediate future, no matter how careful the impending conversations were to be that she would be once again on the run from the CIA.
A note to the reader, this is an excellent series by Ms. Robards, but the prior two novels set the stage as to who, what, where, and when. Yes, it could be enjoyed as a loner however, I truly enjoyed the series. Each part was tough to put down, and I must thank MIRA books and NetGalley for inviting me to read the third novel of The Doctrine series, The 5th Doctrine, due to be published in March of 2019.
