Who is Anaité Alvarado? Why should anyone care about her story or the justice system in Guatemala? Well, if this case was famous in Guatemala, it makes sense to publish this book; otherwise, I don't see the point of this book.

I didn't find the story interesting; actually, I didn't care at all about it, therefore, I stopped reading it.

It is not badly written, it is just that without a connection to the narrator, this would just be another fiction book (which would then be badly written).

Thank you Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this title.

A woman gets sent to a Guatemalan prison for the actions of her recently separated from husband. With the enormous support from family and friends she makes it through 65 gruelling days!

I understand that a great injustice was imposed on the author. Unfortunately, the author rarely displays any real human vulnerabilities. She casts herself in a light of always "trusting" people and every encounter has a good outcome which makes this book very unbelievable. The book is poorly written with very simplistic sentence structure and grammar.
